“KEEPING THINGS SIMPLE”: STATEOF-THE-ART SASH WINDOW HAS PARTS L & F COVERED One of Britain’s biggest and most innovative window manufacturers is hitting the market with another cuttingedge product. An ingenious redesign of Victorian Sliders’ ECOSlide window means it now complies with the requirements of Part L & F. The upgraded product will deliver U-values of 1.4 and a BFRC Rating of A+14 to meet Part L, and by fitting each window with the maximum number of trickle vents as standard up to 10,000mm2 (EQA), Victorian Sliders are ensuring it will meet Part F too.
Epwin Window Systems has launched its new aluminium Flush Tilt and Turn window, further expanding its Stellar Aluminium system range. Designed for use in medium and high-rise buildings, the new Stellar Flush Tilt & Turn window has a strikingly slim sash that sits flush against its frame and its elegantly concealed gearing gives a perfectly streamlined finish. As you would expect from a multi-award-winning aluminium system, the level of high-end aesthetic detailing and technical innovation on the new Stellar Flush Tilt and Turn window is impressive. Its future-proof design meets all the revisions to Part L of the Building Regulations and in turn offers outstanding thermal and weather performance. The window achieves a U-Value of 1.4W/m² with a double-glazed unit and 0.98W/m² with triple glazing. The Stellar Flush Tilt & Turn window includes thermal break technology and triple air seals increase the weather tightness while providing additional protection from the elements which is important on medium and high-rise buildings. Due to its slim, flush profile the new Stellar Flush Tilt & Turn window offers a dramatic expanse of glass that maximises both light and vistas to create a sophisticated space that has become popular across domestic installations. The transition from tilt to turn mode is seamless and easy to operate. The tilt mode operation offers superior ventilation, an important feature with homes looking to improve their internal air circulation. And the turn mode allows for easy cleaning of the external window face and glass. As with all products in the Stellar portfolio, the Tilt & Turn window has patented knock-in beads for fast and easy installation. It also has pre-inserted gaskets, which not only saves times on site, but eliminates gasket overstretch which can be common on aluminium products. And as it’s internally glazed, it makes installation quicker and easier too.
Group Managing Director Steve Winslet comments: “Victorian Sliders were the first UK manufacturer to bring a fixed price PVCu sash window product to the market.
Commenting on the launch of the new Stellar Flush Tilt & Turn window, Phil Parry, Business Development Director at Epwin Window Systems, said: “Stellar is the next generation in aluminium system design and continues to set new standards for the industry. Stellar’s high-end aesthetics, technical excellence and high-performing qualities are once again evident on the new Flush Tilt & Turn window and further presents additional market opportunities for our customers across both refurbishment and new build projects.”
“Now we’re doing it again, with the introduction of a fixed-price sash window that satisfies the latest regulations.
The new Stellar Flush Tilt & Turn window is available in a range of standard and non-standard RAL colours with a 25-year surface paint finish.
“Installers around the country are crying out for products that help them quickly and easily meet the requirements of Part L and F – and that’s exactly what we’re providing them with.
Stellar has been capturing headlines and collecting industry accolades since the aluminium system was launched in 2019. And with the introduction of the new Stellar Flush Tilt & Turn window, its market appeal is even stronger.
The window will be priced at £249, for any size up to 1300mm x 2400mm.
“Trickle vents can ruin the appearance of a window if they’re implemented poorly, but thanks to an ingenious design by our founder and Group CEO Scot Starkey, this isn’t the case.
