OMH are a proudly South African- and management-owned organisation – an organisation founded in 2013 that embodies ‘engineering for the future’.
They are a values-centric organisation, driven by their fundamental pillars of Professionalism, Africanism, Gravitas and Excellence.
They have implemented numerous projects that required innovative technical solutions throughout South Africa for various public and private sector clients. Their flagship projects include SANRAL’s N2 Wild Coast Toll Highway in the Eastern Cape, the upgrade of the R512 in the North West, and JRA’s upgrade of gravel roads to surfaced standards in Doornkop, Soweto. Implementation of their projects is underpinned by ubuntu and a sensitivity towards the social impacts and implications of their engineering designs. They actively seek collaboration that positively benefit community upliftment and contribute to social transformation. The operations and strategic leadership team is led by Sibusiso Sithole and Tumelo Thothela, two directors who are professional engineers with almost 30 years’ combined industry experience. Guided by a quality management system that is in line with international standards, the company have continuously reinvented themselves, growing their staff complement and revenue tenfold in seven years, thus enhancing the prospects of long-term survival and sustainability. Some 35% of staff are women and ROMH intend to achieve gender-parity by the year 2022. They have created an environment that promotes professional integrity, and supports ethically sound behaviour and a sense of shared accountability. They recognise and acknowledge BBBEE as a critical tool to eliminate poverty and reduce the prevalent inequality. As an organisation, they embrace BBBEE through four priority elements, which are Ownership, Skills Development, Preferential Procurement, and Socioeconomic Development.
