March Meeting Summary

Four guests were invited to attend and speak at our March meeting. Spring Break turned out to not be a friend of Glenbrook Valley. It turned out to be impossible to get confirmation. Consequently the speakers we thought would be there weren't. Not a problem! Our resident master gardener, Larry Rucker, stepped up and taught us about a local product, NitroPhos fertilizers. Gateway Ace Hardware carries the brand. Larry also brought varieties of birds-nest ferns and stag-horn ferns. Thanks Larry for saving the day!
Invitamos a cuatro personas para asistir y hablar en nuestra reunión de marzo. Resultó que las vacaciones de primavera no eran amistosas para Glenbrook Valley. Era imposible obtener confirmación. Consecuentemente las personas que pensamos que iban a venir no vinieron. ¡Pero no era ningún problema! Remodel for Park Place Regional Library The Park Place Regional Library closed Monday, March 28 for remodeling. The work is estimated to be completed in 90 days. Our library was selected as part of a pilot program to encourage reading among the 11 - 17 year olds. The renovation area will be specifically designed to their tastes.
