GLENBROOK VALLEY CIVIC CLUB “A DEED RESTRICTED NEIGHBORHOOD”
Community Standards Glenbrook Valley is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Houston. It has been able to maintain its position, in part, by the enforcement of deed restrictions, recognized community standards, and addressing issues which may negatively affect the property values and quality of life in our community. We thank you in advance for your help in maintaining our neighborhood’s attractive appearance. 1. No boats, trailers, campers, RVs of any kind may be stored in a location visible from the street; or visible above a six foot fence. 2. No parking of any type vehicle or trailer on yards/lawns. 3. No storage of inoperable vehicles on driveways visible from the street, in compliance with City of Houston Ordinance. 4. Lawns must be mowed and edged with flowerbeds weeded, curbs must be edged and gutters kept clean. 5. Property must be kept in good repair: no exposed bare or rotten wood, painted a color that co-exists with the neighborhood, gutters firmly secured, screens properly attached and not torn, doors painted/finished and in good repair. 6. Garbage cans must be removed from the curb by 10 p.m. of pick-up day & stored out of view from the street, as required by City of Houston Ordinance. 7. Carports or driveways visible from the street should not be used as storage areas. 8. Holiday decorations must be removed no later than 30 days after the holiday. 9. Storm preparations such as tape or boards on windows, must be removed in a timely manner. 10. House numbers must be posted and visible from the street in compliance with City of Houston Ordinance.
