The election of the 2014 officers will be held at the General Meeting on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 7 p.m. in the Agape Room of Glenbrook Methodist Church, 8635 Glen Valley @ Wilmerdean.

The Nominating Committee of the Glenbrook Valley Civic Club, chaired by Norma Navarro, presents the following slate of officers for 2014: President – Ann Collum; Vice-President – Shannon McNair; Recording Secretary – Allison Kennedy; Membership Secretary – Norma Navarro; Treasurer – Vicky Schoppe. Directors-at-Large: Northwest – Roxana Ramirez; Northeast – Yvette Miles; Southeast – Gilbert Martinez; Southwest I – Saundra Hughes; Southwest II – Dolores Thacker. Nominations may be made from the floor. Each person nominated from the floor must be a member in good standing of the civic club and present to signify his or her willingness to be nominated and serve if elected. The Officers and Directors-at-Large are elected to one year terms. The Section Directors are elected to two year terms. Directors of odd numbered sections are elected in odd numbered years and Directors of even numbers are elected in even years. As per the By-Laws of the Club, vacancies that occur on the Board are filled by appointment from the Board. Cont’d p. 2
Las nominaciones se pueden hacer desde el piso. Cada persona nominada desde el piso tiene que ser miembro en buen estado en el club cívico y presente para significar su buena disposición para ser nominado y servir si elegido. Los oficiales y directores generales se eligen para términos de un año. Los directores de sección se eligen para términos de dos años. Los directores de secciones de números impares se eligen en años de números impares y directores de números pares se eligen en años pares. Según los estatutos del club, los puestos vacantes que ocurren en el consejo se llenan por nombramiento del consejo. Para votar, hay que haber pagado la cuota de membresía 2014 de Glenbrook Valley
