Before ANY exterior alteration is made to the exterior of your home, there are steps you MUST follow. First - submit the plans and specifications to the GBV Architectural Review Board. This may be done on line. Send your plans and specs to arb@glenbrookvalley.org or mail them to GBV ARB, P.O. Box 262164, Houston, TX 77207-2164. Emailing it will expedite the process. The Board will notify you and the Historic Preservation Dept. of their decision. Second - apply for a Certificate of Appropriateness. Call the Historic Preservation Dept. to begin the application process for a Certificate of Appropriateness, 713-8377963. Third - apply for a building permit. To inquire about obtaining building permits call the permitting department at 832-894-8840 for assistance.

This & That Things continue to look up for Glenbrook Valley. Since the historic designation the home values have continued to climb. In 2013 it looks like we are going to see some great gains. We don’t want to take these positive changes totally for granted, however. The civic club is taking bids for the landscaping of the east marker on Bellfort @ Glen-
