Recently there was a proposal presented to Glenbrook Valley via the District I office made by the City of Houston's Housing and Community Development Department, Volunteers of America, and Kissito Healthcare to build 112 apartments and a medical facility on Monroe. It would be located between Rockhill and the HOV exit. Considering the density of existing apartments in our area, this did not appear to be an acceptable proposition. It was proven to be definitely unacceptable after questions were asked and research conducted by concerned neighbors.
