Yum yum. Staff all supported the biggest coffee morning in the world, a Macmillan charity initiative, this morning and I can assure you that everything you see in the photo above is no more.We also enjoyed a fun day at school supporting the RNIB and all the girls wore spots for the day.Thank you for all your support.
We are looking forward to Peter Whyte’s individual photographs, which were taken last Thursday and Friday - one of every boy and girl in the school. He wanted you all to know that they were delightful and he thoroughly enjoyed his visit, as ever. He even took a series of mugshots of the staff this year so we may put a few wanted posters around the school!
I thoroughly enjoyed the bonding day last Saturday with Year 7 old and new and it was a great opportunity for them to make new friends and embark on various challenges, which kept them occupied throughout the afternoon. Parents then helped us consume an indoor barbeque and this also presented them with a chance to meet each other.
Let’s hope the big yellow thing in the sky keeps shining. We have been very lucky with September. How will October fair?

This week, Nursery made a friendship tree from sticks and tied on labels about people who are important to us. They enjoyed a mud kitchen making pies and milk shakes for our friends and family. Beginners have been learning about The Body. This involved labelling body parts, describing what body parts do and discussing the importance of caring, sharing, helping hands. Please can we reiterate how important it is to practise reading every night. Also, please use the key word sheets sent home to play games with your child to help them learn these words. This helps them immensely with their reading in school. Please
Reminder regarding end of school day Please may we remind you that the school day ends at 4.10pm, at which time the girls will be dismissed from registration. Girls should not leave school before this time.
may we ask all Beginners parents to send a spare pair of underpants in to school in PE bags, just in case there are any accidents. In their DT lesson, Kindergarten made scarecrow puppets using wooden paddles and a variety of textiles. Transition produced Mondrian pictures in their art lesson and learned about the primary colours.
