The people have spoken and, which ever way you look at it, at least something definitive has come out of it all. I should congratulate once more the girls who prepared their mini election from the Godstowe Constituency last week. A film of this now appears on the video gallery on the website. My grateful thanks to Mrs Sloggett, Mrs Goss and Miss Metcalfe for their enormous contributions and devotion of time whilst preparing for the Art Exhibition and Fashion Show. As you are aware, the first instalment takes place this evening from 6.30pm, with the Fashion Show at 7.30pm.We look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible. I should also congratulate all the exhibitors - well over 1,000 pieces of work are on display and the standard is overwhelmingly high.

Nursery have been learning about Religious festivals. They have made Diwali lamps, collected blossom, painted a dragon boat and tasted Challah bread. Beginners have been working hard on their story writing this week. They have written and illustrated their own adventure for Winnie the Pooh. To tie in with their study of the Rain Forrest in Geography, Kindergarten enjoyed designing their own t-shirts using dye paints.
Transition have been studying Monet and the children created their own water lily gardens. Transition outing is on Wednesday. Poem of the week Lady of Shalott By Cynthia Gomes Lady Of Shalott I am The Lady Of Shalott Many know my name. But not many know me, That is the shame. You know that I had a curse With no reverse. They know if I break it, To an old age I will never make it. But here I am to make the story clear To share the story with far and near. Its true that I was cursed to never look outside I always stayed in my castle like I had something to hide. I have never seen people who are real, Only shadows from glass and steel. But one day I saw a man through my magic glass, He took while to pass. Then I saw this man time and time again, So I finally decided that this is the end. I glanced away from the mirror, And into his eyes. At once my mirror shattered; Into a million pieces of glass. I knew my time was over, And soon I would be dead. I was going to drown in a river, But I found a boat instead. I wrote my name quickly on it: Lady Of Shalott Hoping that the man, my love would find me Or maybe not. As I passed down the river, they said they heard an eerie song. It was actually the wedding song of Lancelot and I, Which now will never be heard
