What a busy week. Many thanks to Mrs Roper and all of the staff for arranging to accommodate all of our workshops and visitors during La Semaine du Goût. We are very grateful to you all for your support and the girls seem to have had great fun into the bargain. As we approach half term please may I draw your attention yet again to the fact that this half term’s music concert will take place on Thursday afternoon at 2.15pm. The cutting of the Sports Hall ribbon is timed for just after 3.30pm on Friday afternoon – any of you who wish to attend will be most welcome. Main School Girls will be free to leave for half term as soon as they have returned to their classrooms and been dismissed. If next week goes as fast as the previous weeks

have, it will be half term before we know it. In case I don’t see you before next Friday, I thank you all for a very enjoyable opening to the school year and look forward to seeing you all again after the holiday. You may remember me talking to you about the word ‘PROUD’ earlier this term, which we are using as a prop for developing key values. ‘P’ for polite has been a big focus this half and will remain so whilst adding ‘R’ for responsible. We will be encouraging as much as we can ways in which girls can actually show responsibility, for example by being excellent at handing preps in on time etc. We look forward to you supporting us by discussing this at home from time to time as well. Have a good weekend. More lacrosse on Saturday at Piper’s Corner. DG
