Destination • Immerse yourself in Fiji’s rich blend of indigenous cultures as you explore its pristine tropical landscape and ecology. Begin in Nadi on the main island of Viti Levu and then travel to your island-home of Taveuni, the “Garden Island of Fiji,” to collaborate with locals and experience traditional Fijian arts and ceremonies.
Projects • Integrate with your island host community by helping with a variety of construction, cultural, and education projects at the local school. After a traditional sevu sevu welcome ceremony, get to work constructing a classroom, painting the village hall, planting a garden, or teaching English to local children.
Activities • Snorkel and, if you are certified, scuba dive on Fiji’s famous Rainbow Reef on a private dive boat. Explore lush inland rainforests and remote beaches. Discover the Bouma Waterfalls, drift down natural water slides, and play rugby or volleyball with your local friends.
