Port of Eten in the Region of Lambayeque: History, Resources, Attractions and Value Ueda Ibañez, Carlos Eduardo1 Summary. This article aims to provide an approximation of the history, resources and attractive district of Eten Port, within a regional or departmental context (Lambayeque-Port of Eten), exploring the surrounding urban areas and as in the case of study, with the intention of analyzing the tourism product that has Eten Port, guaranteeing an acceptable population tourist service, while the level of social support they receive from various private and public entities, for the development of tourism sector. El presente artículo pretende otorgar una aproximación acerca de la historia, los recursos y los atractivos del distrito de Eten Port, dentro de un contexto regional o departamental (Lambayeque- Puerto eten), explorando las zonas urbanas y alrededores como es el caso de estudio, con la intención de analizar el producto turístico con el que cuenta Puerto Eten, que garantice a la población un servicio turístico aceptable, y a la vez, el nivel de apoyo social que reciben por parte de las diferentes entidades privadas y estatales, para el desarrollo del sector turístico. INTRODUCTION The Region of Lambayeque, strategically located in the north of Peru, has basins, rivers, beaches, parks and three potential for developing economic sectors: agriculture, commerce and tourism. The tourism potential of Lambayeque has grown in recent years, suggesting that the Lambayeque region would be the first tourist destination in Peru, since it has a wide native culture, nature reserves, archaeological sites, museums and living cultures. In the services sector, while new is being implemented in hotels and restaurants, be the focus of major investments in the tourism sector in the district of Eten Port, which is one of the benchmarks for a promising future in the world of tourism services.
