The perception that local tourists has in relation to cultural and religious tourism in the District of Motupe, in Lambayeque, Peru Erika Marisol Gonzales Vásquez 1 y Diana Carolina Ibáñez Ugaz 2 ABSTRACT This research allows us to know about tourist and religious culture of Moçupe District in Lambayeque – Peru; because we want to know how the tourism culture influences local tourists, and what they want to do tourism in Motupe district, which is especially characterized by people´s devotion of this place.

This research has as main objective to analyze the influence of the tourist and religious culture of Motupe district, as to the manner and frequency with tourists coming to the Holy Cross of Chalpón , mainly the devotion they have and as Motupe develops in other aspects that are related to agriculture and archeology.

The research is quantitative. To collect information will use surveys. The data will be processed using the computer program Excel 2010, where we will analyze the answers of respondents.

RESUMEN Este trabajo de investigación permite conocer acerca de la cultura turística y religiosa del distrito de Motupe, en el departamento de Lambayeque (Perú), ya que queremos que se conozca, cómo es que la cultura turística, influye sobre los turistas locales, y que es lo que ellos buscan al hacer turismo en un distrito como Motupe, que se caracteriza especialmente, por la devoción que tienen las personas que llegan a este lugar. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo principal, analizar la influencia que tiene la cultura turística y religiosa del distrito de Motupe, en cuanto a la manera y a la frecuencia, con que llegan los turistas a la Santísima Cruz de Chalpón de Motupe, principalmente por la devoción que tienen, y como se desarrolla Motupe en otros aspectos que están relacionados con la agricultura y la arqueología. El tipo de investigación es cuantitativa. Para la recolección de información, se utilizará la técnica de campo, a través de encuestas. Los datos serán procesados mediante el programa computarizado de Excel 2010, donde analizaremos las respuestas de los encuestados.

INTRODUCTION We must know Motupe has always been considered as temple of the religious catholic faith, but today it is not only visited by the devotion to The Chalpón Holy Cross, also for its archaeological remains, various prehispanic huacas and among other places in the area. Motupe, inside Lambayeque's

region, is considered as the "Earth of the Chalp贸n's Holly Cross and The Capital of the Faith and Religiousness ".

It is an important district, which has much to show to Peru and world. It is a source of great natural and human wealth, for this reason it is a hope in the economic development of the Lambayeque region with its agricultural productions and the great work of his people. For that reason is important to know, which is the vision that the tourists have about this type of religious tourism, and know what they think about it, If Motupe, is doing a great tourist work, and what thry need to improve it, and to do the tourists feel really satisfied with their visit. Which is the perception that the local tourist has according to the cultural and religious tourism of Motupe district in Lambayeque?

The hypothesis that we propose is the local tourism in Motupe district, inside Lambayeque's region, is very met in August by believer people in the Holy Chalp贸n Cross. Therefore, it has generated a religious tourism in this district promoting a major revenue to the persons from this place. As general aim, we have considered analyzing the perception that the local tourist have relation to the cultural and religious tourism of the Motupe district- Lambayeque.

In the same line of investigation, we proposed as specific aims, to determine the level of satisfaction of the local tourist in relation to the tourism developed in Motupe's district, to identify the factors that influence the arrival towards Motupe, to know what cultural centers they influence with the tourism in Motupe's district; and identify the problems that Motupe's district presents in relation to the religious and cultural tourism.

This research topic is realized because we want to know what the local tourist thinks in relation to the tourism that is realized in Motupe's district, if he is satisfied about they can know and learn of this place, and what nice is visit the Chalp贸n's Holy Cross in Motupe.

In the same way, this research will be carried out by all persons who want to know more about Motupe's district especially the religious and cultural tourism to analyze it and to be able to improve it in all that is necessary to increases the tourism in this zone Religious and culture tourism Esteban (2009) affirmed that the cultural tourism has the image of being a niche of tourism associated with the cities and that it attracts independent, formed well tourists, with high acquisitive level, and therefore it is a tourism that does not raise serious threats for the cities. Nevertheless, the proliferation of more frequent vacations and more fellings and especially of weekend, it has produced that this one phenomenon turns sometimes into tourism of masses and therefore into a danger for the sustainable development of the destination.

Jasso y Marfil (2013) published that the cultural tourism propitiates that the visitor learns brings over of the customs and traditions of the country. This way, the tourism is a way that implies the exchange of knowledge and ideas between the place and visitor. The elements by means of which a country is represented to if same before the exterior they are considered to be his cultural elements

that it do only one, these can be: food, drink, architecture, crafts, entertainment and the essential characteristics of the population like the hospitality.

Lema (2010) defined to the religious tourism like that this type of tourism it is realized by the persons who follow some religious faith, and that realize big peregrinations towards some place especially to visit some sacred place, for penance, gratefulness or another motive related to his beliefs.

Martinez (2013). The tourism as social fact, generates a diversity of impacts in the populations receptors of visitors, on the one hand it makes possible an economic assessment that he benefits to the inhabitants of the tourist site on having generated investment in infrastructure and diverse services, promoting the creation of employment and the economic well-being, on the other hand, has effects not always charitable on the natural environment, the physical and cultural heritage of the place visited principally due to the fact that the sites of faith do not develop under a town planning that facilitates the tourist development, but his growth is realized seeking to solve as a priority needs of short term, with which, in spite of the visitors' great quantity that they receive annually they could not have consolidated as sites that manage tourists attract with a profile different from the pilgrim.

Millan, Morales y PĂŠrez (2010) He wrote from the spiritual perspective that, “The religious tourism is a way in order that the individual could approach God. Some tourists are believers and the spiritual peregrination and the spiritual retirement is included in his practical part of the faith. Other tourists are attracted by an emotion, a place, a climate and his environment, which there allow him a dialog and a consolidation of his faith during his trip or visit the sacred place ". As the author says it not all the tourists come for a religious tourism (See in the Figure 1), but they come to know the district and it can be said that it is because they do not know brings over of the great devotion that there have the inhabitants of this place and because it comes many persons.

Moran (2011), He presented to the religious tourism as one of the most important, by its value of religiosity that exists in each population, this is called as the traditional trips to a sanctuary, and cultures trips, oriented, guided and regulated by religious organizations.

The Religious tourism in Motupe Barrados y Alonso (2002). They considered religious factors as elements involved in tourism development, mentioned that visiting holy places (See Figure 2) generates flows of tourists very important in today's world, and these are considered as tourist because they assume journey, a movement and residence to final destinations.

Barretto (2006) indicated that cultural tourism aims at understanding the history of man through time, through the knowledge of its tangible and intangible heritage; in this sense the cultural tourism, aims at strengthening the identities of the country, in a particular city, community or sector.

Fernandez (2007) wrote that Motupe district is located in the territorial extension of the current department of Lambayeque (See Figure 3.), in the jurisdiction of the province of the same name, being the home to the eastern slopes of the foothills Andean Lambayeque own.

MATERIALS AND METHODS

This research answers to a quantitative investigation. By Perez and Diaz (1994), the quantitative investigation is considered as an active, systematic and rigorous process of investigation, directed on investigable while it is in the studios field. Likewise, for Pita and Pértegas (2002, p. 1), the quantitative investigation gathered and analyzes the variables. The population of this research is formed by all local tourists who visit the district of Motupe in Lambayeque; in order to know about its cultural and religious tourism.

Our type of sampling is not probabilistic, based on the following: The convenience sampling technique is probably the most common sampling.

In the convenience sampling, the samples are selected because they are accessible for the investigator. The subjects are chosen simply because they are easy to recruit. This technique is considered to be the easiest, thecheapest and less time takes. The number of polled was 30 persons.

Maya (2011) indicated the different methods and techniques that we can use in our research. The methods and techniques used are the following, the method used is quantitative, to do the techniques are Technical Cabinet; using the technique of signing, whose instruments are: Bibliographic Records , Textual Records and Summary Sheets . For bibliographical use the APA system. Technical Analysis Texts. Reviews documented texts, through appointments documentation. As technology field; applying Guide Surveys. With its instrument guide survey. Other instruments, such as: photographic or digital camera. The data that we record be specific , ie each site will collect the necessary information, we will also use statistical tables with absolute and percentage amounts , perception presenting tourist district Motupe , tables that will tailor will be proportional to our results; made in the program Excel 2010.

The alleged limitations we could find in conducting our research, serious, eg lack of cooperation of people to our surveys and not be taking photos at the Holy Cross.

ANALYSIS OF THE RESULTS DISCUSSION From the results obtained in our research, we have been able to visualize the high demand for local tourist district Motupe with one motive that is devotion she has for the Cross of Chalpón or also known as cross Motupe (See in Figure 4), which is located in the territorial extension of the current department of Lambayeque, in the jurisdiction of the province of the same name, being the home to the eastern slopes of the Andean foothills typical of Lambayeque (Fernández, 2012, p. 19). For the large number of tourists visiting the district Motupe , we know that today develops more fully the religious and cultural tourism in the district of Motupe , as I mentioned Tola ( 2011), the regional government would boost religious tourism to this end may also be known cultural attractions (See table 1) that exist in the district Motupe , as well as Barretto (2006 ) said cultural tourism is one type of tourism that seeks understanding human history through time , through the knowledge of its tangible and intangible heritage ; in this sense the cultural tourism, seeks to strengthen the identities of the country, in a particular city , community or sector;

which is an important contribution to know that we must give great value to the different attractions that are located in this district As we know long Motupe has been visited by a large number of devotees who are identified with the Cross of Chalp贸n and each year you demonstrate your faith, devotion (See Table 2) , and fidelity to this , thanking him for miracles granted during the year. Every year in the month of August a great holiday to cross Motupe where hundreds of policemen guarding this place for safety of pilgrims and maintaining order and good organization of all this is done ; however when survey results were shared as fifty percent of people were dissatisfied with the order at this time , since many of them were victims of robberies in the past but not for that reason stopped going , but ask that each year better organization and giving more security (See table 3. ) people .

CONCLUSIONS The religious and cultural tourism in the district of Motupe, thanks to high demand generated each year benefits both the district and its inhabitants.

The organization and order is one of the most influential alternative for tourists because they want to have more security for all and you get better every year , having more inflows not only local, national , regional but also international tourists.

La Holy Cross of Chalpon is considered the main reason for visits in the district of Motupe because most tourists visiting the district do to venerate his devotion to the cross.

RECOMMENDATIONS To motivate learn more about the religious tourism that exists in the district of Motupe , thus obtaining a greater demand for not only local, national , regional but also international tourists, as this could generate more revenue to the district to improve different aspects such as: infrastructure, cleanliness, order , etc.; likewise show the richness of cultural tourism that has the district of Motupe GRATITUDE
