Time to Tango Continued from page 11 The 2021 season culminates in the Union City Fondo on October 2, featuring a variety of road and gravel rides for everyone who likes to ride bikes—from new riders out for a cruise to seasoned pros looking for punishment. Distances range from a leisurely 30-mile road ramble to a demanding 100-mile mixed surface event called the Toughskin Open that drags riders up and down hills, across gravel, dirt, water crossings, and extreme obstacles. With several additional route options, this annual event is a chance to get out with friends and family and to mingle with cycling enthusiasts from all over, including local MACC riders. The Spin the District series is a labor of love by the ATL Airport District, the Southside’s Tourism and Convention Bureau, to help promote cycling in the area and continue the conversation of diversity and inclusivity.
