March, 12 - April, 20 Get-togethers in your neighborhood should prove enjoyable right now. Communication with others, particularly about possible new business interests, should bring a lot of positive information your way that you’re apt to put to work for you.

AQUARIUS
January, 20 - Febuary, 18 You’ve been working very hard for a long time, and now you might be thinking of ways to reward yourself. A trip that you might have dreamed of taking might suddenly seem to be more attainable. You might decide to actually make the arrangements. You could well decide to stay for a long time, for there is much that you can learn through this trip. Wellness The sensitive side of your nature desires what’s best for those you love - there is a deep feeling of “I would die for you” running through you with regard to your loved ones and your children. This intense emotion can be channeled into a more productive vein: caring for your body as though it were a loved one. Taking care of all its needs can be quite satisfying. This is ultimately nurturing for EVERYONE! Your life certainly does depend on your body.
2
April, 21 - May, 20 Your intuition should be operating at a very high level and thus it’s going to be easier for you to tune in to the thoughts, feelings, needs, and desires of others, particularly the opposite sex.
GEMINI
May, 21 - June, 20 Feelings are easily expressed, although more on a subtle than a verbal level. New business opportunities may open up through contact with new and interesting people. Social events and group activities should therefore contribute more to your personal growth and emotional well-being than they usually do. Make the most of them!
LIBRA
September, 23 - October, 22 The prospect of future business opportunities could have you spending a lot of time on the phone in discussion with friends or acquaintances who might have information you need. Perhaps someone you know has been very successful at an activity he thinks might interest you.
SCORPIO
October, 23 - November, 23 A rosy glow over your recent career successes could cause you to congratulate yourself over your growing bank account. This trend should continue for a while, if you keep on working as you have and maintain a positive and optimistic attitude

June, 21 - July, 22 Reflections on your recent success and good fortune with regard to career matters are likely to have you feeling strong, optimistic, and enthusiastic for the future. Creative projects are going very well, as are relationships with the opposite sex. July, 23 - August, 22 Good news from a distant state or foreign country could make your day. You could well spend the rest of the day basking in the glow of what you’ve heard. However, this isn’t going to affect your relations with others or your work on whatever projects you’re involved with right now. August, 23 - September, 22 An increase in money could bring a lot of happiness and good feeling into your home. You might be a bit concerned as to how to keep the energy going, but don’t worry about it. All signs are that your success and good fortune are going to be around for a while.
AQUARIUS -
SAGITTARIUS
November, 23 - December, 21 Recent successes in your career might inspire you to throw a celebration of some kind with a few close friends. You’re feeling especially positive and particularly charming at this time, and your confidence is likely to contribute to a new sense of closeness to those around you. December, 22- January, 19 Relations with those closest to you should be warm and rewarding. Financial matters are going so well for you right now that you’re apt to be feeling that everything will be perfect from here on out. This optimism and enthusiasm, however, doesn’t mean you’re taking your good fortune for granted. February, 21 - March, 20 Visitors in your home might include partners in business activities, members of a group with which you’re affiliated, or creative people with great ideas. Therefore, you’re likely to enjoy some intense discussions and a lot of intriguing exchanges of information.

GOWEEKLY 03 2016 TO GO THOUGHTS
Endure! Text: Ruvette Dirksz
At the start of another weekend, we prepare ourselves for joyous events such as the grand finale of the Festival di Tumba. People come together to share happy moments and to be part of an event that has earned its respect in the neighboring islands for being the biggest festival every year. It stood the test of time, enduring economical crisis and creative scarcity. Even when participation of ‘Tumberos’ were less than expected and the public in the venue less then hoped for… the festival endured.
“Tough times don’t last, tough people do!” Endurance is the power to withstand pain and hardships and the ability to generate strength to continue no matter what. We often find ourselves in adverse situations and are so easily willing to give up. Although one of the most difficult disciplines to take on, it is the one that will ensure victory. Whenever life pushes you to ‘hopeless moments’ never let it push you to quitting. As Bruce Lee once said, let’s not ask for an easy life but for the strength to endure a difficult one. We conclude, it won’t be easy but it will totally be worth it.

GOWEEKLY 03 2016 COVER STORY
Francis Sling on life and art
Artists are fascinating. Not just because of their work or talent. Artists are often special souls that aren’t easily tamed and are even more difficult to capture in writing. Francis Sling, a multi-talented local artist living in the Netherlands, is no exception. He welcomed us into his parents’ home during his holidays on the island and gave us a rare glimpse of what goes on in his mind on any given day. By: Danielle Palm On life “be the best Francis Sling in the whole world” Francis considers himself a designer. “I see or feel something and I try to capture it with whatever medium seems appropriate,” he says. But more importantly he sees himself as a part of the painting that is life. “Sometimes I cut a piece of a painting I did and I give it to someone. My way of saying to that person that he or she is a piece of art. Because that’s what I want to be,” he says. Francis sees the world as a giant piece of art created by God. We are all a speck of color that makes the artwork beautiful. “We all need to be our authentic selves. You can’t be someone else, because the artwork of life needs your contribution in order for it to be the masterpiece it is. I want to be the best Francis Sling in the whole world!” Francis believes that all we need to do to be happy and succeed in life is to be the best version of ourselves, no matter what that looks like. “I see it this way. It’s
8
On life like a human body. The eye thinks it is very important, because it sees and it believes the asshole is of lesser importance, because it’s back there. But imagine if the asshole stops working. The body can’t function!”
COVER STORY GOWEEKLY 03 2016
On art “just do it; the masterpiece will follow” When he is on the island, Francis’ studio is in the small yard next to his childhood home. He works under a huge tree and amidst flowering shrubs. Our photographer gasps and points to the artist’s expensive laptop and camera, both covered in specks of paints in all colors of the rainbow. The electronic equipment seems to match several paint brushes and colorful pieces Francis is currently working on and that are scattered all over the backyard. “I’m someone who takes care of his things, but when I work things tend to get dirty,” he says unapologetically. Francis is also a trained photographer and makes jewelry. “I know artists that are very careful when it comes to their paint. It’s very expensive,” he says. “I leave all my canisters lying around. It’s just my way of creating. But that’s ok, because I use the dried paint to make jewelry,” he says. Francis is excited to share his process of creating paintings with us. “I usually start with the back of the painting,” he says. “I layer the paint using lots of water, so it makes sense to
start with the back and keep the front clean.” Like any true artist, Francis doesn’t limit himself to paint and canvas. He shows us a finished piece of a beautiful woman that has been recently commissioned. “You see this shiny part? It’s not paint, it’s carved out of the MDF,” he says. “I’ve stopped using canvas, because with MDF you can do so much more.” His previous exhibitions included live models in front of a painted background as well.
“We all need to be our authentic selves”
Francis’ approach to creating a masterpiece? “Just start with an idea; a sketch. Don’t try to create a masterpiece, because that will paralyze you. If I’m afraid to start sketching, the masterpiece will never come. So I usually just do it and I don’t think about whether it will be any good. Otherwise, the masterpiece will never be created.”

Home Vacation
to stay a (long) weekend. There is no greater feeling then sleeping in a freshly made bed and room service!
Do you know that feeling? You just want to get away for a little while, escape your real life for a moment and just relax. Well, the perks of living on a holiday destination is that you actually can have your break quite easily. By: Shari Jourdain
Long live the resorts! If there is any place where I can really unpack myself, feel like I’m on vacation but still be close to home, it has to be a resort. And luckily, Curaçao has plenty of those. Instead of just a day visit, it’s also very nice
Family treat While a day or two in a resort can be super romantic with your lover, it’s also fun and safe for your kids. They can play in the pool all day or participate in the many fun activities most resorts host for children. Stress no more, have a mini vacation right next to home!
