"..Make a clean break from the beliefs that are holding you back"

VB

LIBRA -

ARIES

Famous Scorpio

Hayrich Juliana Born: November 21, 1984

SCORPIO

October, 23 - November, 22 If you aren't careful to keep your eyes straight ahead and focused on the future, the past is likely to catch up to you, Scorpio. Don't look back, even if you don't see anything in front of you. You must continue to move forward. It's true that this is easier said than done. Nevertheless, you feel inspired to give it a try.

WELLNESS You can enjoy today's transit, because it is a time to focus intensively on yourself and your personal needs. In fact, this is a wonderful transit for grooming. Enjoy making yourself as attractive as you possibly can. Get that haircut, get the nails done, have a massage to make your skin lovely and radiant, soak in the tub with real rose petals. Indulge yourself in healthy pleasures and ask no questions: as long as it's healthy, you deserve it!

2

March, 21 - April, 19 As a person who embodies affection and tenderness, you may feel especially resentful about your mood. It will be difficult to charm a smile out of anyone or achieve any semblance of harmony. Moreover, the friction won't spare siblings - even close friends may quarrel.

TAURUS

VIRGO

August, 23 - September, 22 It isn't because your new projects demand such precision that they're causing you problems. You tend to think details keep you from having a global vision, but that simply isn't true. There's no conflict between the long-term view and short-term needs. You just think that the latter gets in the way of the former.

LIBRA

September, 23 - October, 22 This is a good moment to abandon old beliefs and moral values. Your view of life has changed and, above all, you're more aware of how your outdated, preconceived ideas sometimes poison your life. The past no longer concerns you. It's time for you to make a clean break from the beliefs that are holding you back.

April, 20 - May, 20 A longing for comfort and the small, simple pleasures in life is likely to cripple your initiative. Have you decided to withdraw from the career whirl for the time being? Or perhaps you're just discouraged by the lack of enthusiasm in your colleagues. In any case, this would be a good day to stay home and rest.

PISCES

May, 21 - June, 20 For the past several days, you've been fairly lucky in financial and material terms. But the day ahead will be an exception. If you're planning to make an investment, sign a contract, or purchase a major item, postpone it until another day. June, 21 - July, 22 The way you act when you first meet people is typical of Cancer. What is it that you do? You try to teach them something. It seems that you always have a lesson to impart, making you prone to giving advice when it isn't always wanted. July, 23 - August, 22 Your philosophy of life comes naturally. Others need to study, listen to experts, or sign on to various allegiances. You, on the other hand, already have a profound outlook on life that you surely inherited from your past experiences.

November, 23 - December, 21 This would be the moment to say yes to your destiny. You're a little frustrated because things haven't been moving forward the way you'd like. But now that opportunities are coming your way, you find you're holding things up. You're just afraid, that's all. December, 22 - January, 19 Don't expect to meet the partner of your dreams today. Rather, your romantic hopes are likely to meet with frustration. It would be better to devote your energies to something more realistic, such as your financial situation. January, 20 - February, 18 Try not to get tangled in other people's words. It could be that you're accidentally misconstruing their statements because you aren't listening closely. Rather, your mind is focused on your own thoughts, even though you snap to attention when something hits you wrong. February, 19 - March, 20 You will have to expect a few disturbances in the harmony that has reigned over the past few days. For example, your needs may not match those of your mate or close friends, or you may feel restless. Minor worries about the future may intrude on people's good moods.

'Dream' come true for Rob & Chyna

French Montana and Iggy Azalea came under fire after they posted photos on Instagram posing with a bejeweled elephant in Montana's backyard. The elephant, wearing jewelry, was delivered to Montana's house for his birthday on November 10. "I love animals more than people!!" he posted. "Happy bday to me. Positive vibes at the Casa." People flooded the comment sections on the pictures accusing Montana and Azalea of supporting animal cruelty. Montana responded to the comments, telling people the elephant was taken care of.

Jean Girigori Art Gallery The story behind it all

When it comes to art, I like to see it as music; it doesn’t have to be explained to be beautiful. The artist displays a feeling which can be interpreted differently, while keeping the original meaning. One of Curaçao’s artists that does this very well is Jean Girigori. Let’s see what her art is all about…

Jeon Girigori has spent most of her life living on several Caribbean islands. Growing up there wasn’t easy, but it laid the foundation of becoming a professional painter. She continually strives to express both the pleasure and suffering of the Caribbean life. Her paintings show this very clearly through the colours, objects and the way she portraits the people. Seeing the paintings truly is pleasure for the eye but either joy or pain for the heart. In her own art gallery there’s the opportunity to speak with her personally and learn more about the paintings’ meaning, which is extremely interesting! Visit the Jean Girigori Art Gallery at Kwartje #75, Santa Rosa, on Kaya Kent U Zelf. By: Shari Jourdain

GOWEEKLY 46 2016 COVER STORY

Can you describe your journey to Yoga and, how has it changed you? My Yoga journey started a few years ago when I was going through a really rough time in my life. I became very anxious and had a hard time controlling my emotions. Yoga helped me find peace of mind but most important it helped me find myself. But the moment when I started teaching Yoga is when it really became my passion. To be able to guide people on a positive path is something that fills me up every day and that is what gives meaning to what I do.

For you, Yoga is a way of life and not a way to exercise. Can you explain this?

Adriana Muñoz Adriana Muñoz is a 500 hour Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor who is specialized in one on one sessions, which are customized to adapt each and every student. Yoga is her passion and a way of life. ‘’The goal of Yoga is to become the best version of yourself. It's a never ending journey of selfdiscovery where every day you learn new things.’’ On November 24th, you can experience a healthy fit night out at Madero Ocean Club with yoga and workout by Adriana and Jos. Editor: Sendeliz Gibbes | Photography: Irene Zúñiga

Yoga is a way of life because it's a constant practice and discovery of many things. People always think that Yoga is about doing some stretches; but it's a journey of self-discovery where you learn how to be in control of your mind, in control of your breath and to become fully aware of your body. Once you have that, you gain total control of your life and no external factors can disturb that inner peace you get from Yoga.

What is the goal of Yoga as you see it? Beyond the walls we often construct, how are we all truly connected in this practice? The goal of Yoga is to become the best version of yourself, it's a never ending journey of self-discovery where every day you learn new things. By becoming your better version, you transmit good energy to the people around you, creating a more positive

and healthy environment. We are all energy and what we are inside will be reflected on the world around us.

What advice would you give someone who feels they can’t practice yoga because they don’t have the ‘’right kind’’ of body? There is no “body type” to practice Yoga. I have all kinds of students, from very fit athletes, elderly to obese. People often get intimidated by Yoga because they see pictures going of someone who is super flexible practicing complicated postures. Honestly, I love those pictures, but to me, that’s art. A Yoga class for someone might be to just go on the mat and practice breathing exercises. Everyone is different and each person has to find what they need from their Yoga practice.

Can you tell us more about your concepts, ‘Fusion workout’ and ‘Fit night’ with Jos? I started working with Jos because we are both very passionate about helping and motivating people become healthier and from that point “Fusion” was created. The idea was to have a mixed class that starts with a strength/ conditioning part and ends with Yoga; giving our students a completely balanced workout. This experience is enhanced with sound off technology which consist on noise cancelling headphones, giving the participants a more intimate and up close experience with the instructor and the music. The “Fit night out” concept is to provide something different from the usual night out at a bar, to give people a healthy option to go out with a friend or partner and workout together. After the workout

they can stay and enjoy good food and drinks while networking with other people who also enjoy a healthy lifestyle. Recently we took Fusion to Costa Rica and we had a very positive response. The next project is to make Fusion corporate and also to have retreats abroad.

Next month you will launch your clothing line ‘SULARA WEAR’. What can we expect?

kitchen will also offer healthy food for purchase. Come and listen to the beats of a live DJ on Sound Off and enjoy a great healthy night out. For more info: www.yogawithadri.com yogawithadri yogawithadri

I was looking for a clothing line that is comfortable but most important, a clothing line that has good quality fabrics and to bring it to the island to share with my students. Recently I was in my home country Costa Rica and I found SULARA. The whole concept of the brand and the owner of the company resonated with me immediately. So we partnered up and SULARA will be available in Curaçao next month. Most people who are into fitness, walk around in their workout clothes all the time. SULARA is an activewear brand that has multifunctional designs, perfect for workout or casual wear. We will have our first SULARA pop-up store at Madero Ocean Club on Nov 24 at 8:30 pm. Madero

TIPS & TRENDS GOWEEKLY 46 2016

Black is White

Mermaid blankets

Whiten your teeth with Curaprox toothpaste! Curaprox is a charcoal-based whitening toothpaste and yes, and its jet black! Rather than bleaching teeth, charcoal absorbs surface stains to return teeth to the shade they were approx. 5185 coffee runs ago!

We remember when Ariel swam onto the big screen with her bright green tail and ruby red hair, we’ve been desperate to follow in her… footsteps? Now, the mermaid blanket gives you a fishtail while doubling as a super comfy throw. From super thin knits to extra thick yarns, there’s something for every type of weather or central heating level. This blanket will make you feel pretty magical. Just remember ladies, these aren’t waterproof!

Night Cream

Turkey + Apples

One of the main benefits of a good night cream is the anti-aging power it possesses. Ingredients such as glycolic acid, salicyclic acid and retinyl acetate help in replacing old skin with newer skin quicker which basically means it’s harder for wrinkles and fine lines to appear. Our Top Fav is: Clinique Turnaround Overnight Revitalizing

If you crave crisp apples for an afternoon snack, why not kick it up a notch and nosh on this quick apple snack, which takes mere minutes to prepare?! Turkey, Cheddar Cheese and Granny Smith apples are an intriguing sandwich pairing. Between meals, skip the bread and cut the apple in round slices for a solid, cracker-like base.

Moisturizer! It delivers overnight energy to the skin to help reverse the effects of sun damage and ageing.

Top 3

Beauty Hacks 1. Smudge mascara on your bottom lashes for a lived-in eyeliner look. Gorg! 2. Frozen ketchup packets on your eyes to get rid of bags 3. Wash your make up brushes with baby shampoo

Instagram-worthy dessert S'mores are a messy dessert favorite. But why not skip the sticky situation and enjoy it in a cone? This is what you need: Ingredients: 1 container marshmallow fluff 1 box store-bought ice cream cones 1 bag chocolate chips 1 bag marshmallows 1 box graham crackers

Instructions:

S’mores Ice Cream Cone!

Fill a small bowl with chocolate chips and melt them in the microwave until smooth. Place a few graham crackers in a sealable plastic bag and crush until crumbly. Dip the rim of one ice cream cone in melted chocolate and then follow by dipping it in the crumbled graham crackers. Fill cone with fluff and add a layer of chocolate chips and repeat with a second layer. Top with three large marshmallows (optional: torch marshmallows until brown and toasty). Delicious!
