Tina Turner

Queen Pop Rock Legend, Tina Turner died on May 24, at the age of 83, in her home in Zurich, Switzerland. She had been battling illness for some time, she was diagnosed with intestinal cancer in 2016, and received a kidney transplant in 2017, and in recent years had a stroke. Tina was married to her husband Erwin Bach for a decade. Her first Top Ten Hit “Proud Mary” also earned her First Grammy Award for “Best Vocal R & B Performance.” While in her 30’s, after her divorce from her abusive husband the late Ike Turner, in 1984 she released “Private Dancer” which sky rocketed her into Pop Music, that album also produced one of her most noted hits “What’s Love Got To Do With It”, which garnered her three Grammy awards in 1986, sold over five million copies, and ended up being the title of the movie depicting her life story. In 1988, her touring career broke world records, selling $100 million in tickets making a Guinness World Record, as the most sold tickets ever for a solo artist. In 1991 she and former husband Ike Turner were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. She was inducted again as a solo artist in 2021. She received a Kennedy Center Honor in 2005 and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018. There are so many accolades she has earned throughout her career, she fought long and hard throughout her career and didn’t give up in times she could’ve, but she persevered through it all becoming one of the greatest to ever do it, making her a lifetime iconic figure, her music is timeless and will live on, WE SALUTE YOU QUEEN!

Jeff Bradshaw

One of the greatest trombonists of my time is releasing a new project on June 23, titled “Jeff Bradshaw 20” as he celebrates 20 years in the music business officially, I watched his career from its inception as a teenager playing for Philly’s Own, Tony Moore & Jehovah Chosen” to now currently being on tour with Patti LaBelle. He started his solo career and launched his first project in 2004, “Bone Deep”, by then he had already shared the stage with so many major music icons such as Michael Jackson, Earth, Wind & Fire, Patti Labelle, Erykah Badu, and many others. In 2012 he issued his sophomore long-player, Bone Appetit, which featured a host of guest artists, including Kindred the Family Soul, Raheem DeVaughn, Floacist, and Marsha Ambrosius whom of course he played for throughout his career. He released double singles from the new album last month May 19, titled “Make Some Time” featuring Eric Roberson, and “Carrie’s Bread Puddin” where he celebrates his mom, meanwhile I LOVE BREAD PUDDING!

Jeff puts out great music and he gives us so many vibes, jazz, pop, gospel, neo soul, and R& B, he leaves no stone unturned, this project also features Raheem DeVaughn, Eric Roberson, and Tonex aka BSlade bringing the gospel heat “Maintenance Man” the album is FIRE!
