I HISTORY

n 1999, thirty pastors assembled to cast the vision for a summer program that would cater to the spiritual needs of youth in the South Florida region. From this meeting, Florida Apostolic Camp (FAC) was born.

FAC was designed to foster unity, increase fellowship, and enhance the spiritual development of Apostolic youth in an annual summer retreat setting. Youth camp quickly became a summer tradition for families from churches throughout the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and the United Kingdom. By 2001, the farreaching effects of FAC was unquestionable. The leadership of FAC realized that this vision could no longer be limited to age or location. It was then that Florida Apostolic Camp became Apostolic Camp International (ACI). ACI is strategically designed to position youth to positively impact the global community, empowering them to demonstrate core Christian values, while possessing a Christ-centered character. This is achieved through balanced programs, opportunities for fellowship, teaching, preaching and spiritual growth that is grounded in The Word of God. This year, 2019, we celebrate 20 years of ACI. Since the beginning, the mission has remained the same: “Taking Apostolic Youth to a Higher Dimension!” Over the years, ACI has served numerous campers from approximately 136 assemblies, and 496 souls (and counting!) have received the Gift of the Holy Ghost during camp. As a 2019 camper, you are now a part of the journey, heritage, and legacy of ACI. You are a part of ACI’s history and future. Let’s go higher!

WELCOME

HELLO CAMPERS! The summer’s most anticipated event – Apostolic Camp International – is here! Welcome to the remarkable grounds of Southeastern University, this year’s home for ACI, as we engage you in a dynamic Christ-centered program that we trust will exceed your expectations! It’s hard to believe that 20 years have gone by. Truly, God has been good. We began this program with one objective: “Taking Apostolic Youth to a Higher Dimension.” The ACI staff has worked diligently to prepare for your arrival, and we expect a wonderful week of worship, edification, fellowship, and much more. We believe your ACI experience will be enjoyable and life-changing. If there is anything we can do facilitate this, please don’t hesitate to contact any member of the staff. Thank you for being a part of ACI 2019! In His Service,

Bro. Dwayne A. Stewart Director, Apostolic Camp International 6

ACI 2019 is taking place on the beautiful campus of Southeastern University (SEU) in sunny Lakeland, Florida. SEU is a Christ-centered institution of higher learning and was named one of the fastest growing liberal arts universities in the nation by The Chronicle of Higher Education. Founded in 1935, SEU has survived the test of time and is now the alma mater of some of the most talented and dedicated servant leaders in world. The campus is filled with great amenities, state of the art facilities, and a warm and hospitable staff.

F.A.Q

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS When do campers check-in and out? • Check-in on Monday, the first day of camp, is from 1 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. • Check-in on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday is 7:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. • Check-out on Saturday is 8:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Where is the camp office and what are the office hours? • The camp office location is the Sawgrass Room in the Student Union building. • Camp office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday (closed for lunch) and 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday (closed for recreation). What do I do if I lose my room key and cannot find it? • The lost key fee is $10 and must be remitted before departing the campus. What if I have a medical emergency while at camp? • We take special care to look out for the safety of all our campers as well as our guests. On our staff and team of volunteers are medical personnel that are available for medical emergencies should they arise. If the medical emergency is deemed critical, our medical volunteers will call 911. • Any medical expenses due to injuries and/or illness must be handled by the campers’ insurance company, the information of which should have been provided to our staff during registration.

ACI – THE GOD ORDAINED JOURNEY

Apostolic Camp International (ACI) is a remarkable God-ordained journey. I’m indeed thankful to God for giving us this vision in 1999 and for the many faithful partners who have kept the vision alive, affording us this opportunity to celebrate 20 years of indescribable joy, sacrificial excellence in service, anointed preaching/teaching, and Holy Ghost outpouring. It is impossible and, thankfully, unnecessary for me find the words that will do justice to the journey that is ACI, as the success of the journey is best seen and shared by all of us who are living testimonies of the positive difference ACI has made on our lives, both socially and spiritually. In 1999, God assembled and ordained a staff to give leadership to ACI. For the most part, that staff is still together today. He first chose Minister Mark Brown and then Sis. Michelle Thompson to give leadership to the amazing team, until Bro. Dwayne Stewart was elevated to lead three years ago. Please join me in celebrating the chosen leaders of this Godordained Journey that is ACI. When we started the journey at Lake Geneva the inaugural ACI theme was: “My God, Me, My Destiny.” For 20 years, we have remained committed to that theme. That commitment must not change during “The Amazing Race,” for as we grow “Deeper In God,” He will “Ignite” a passion in all of us to “Live the GOSPEL” throughout every stage of the journey. By obedience to the Word and submission to Holy Spirit, we have kept ACI focused on the “One Way” path directed to the eternal Destination. It is my hope and prayer that this new generation of Apostolic youth will stay on course and spiritually “Check Your Pulse” along the way. “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (KJV) S. TEAMS All ACI 2019 campers have been assigned to teams. Each team has been designed to focus on the spiritual growth of each camper during the week. Team members will find support for their personal walk with the Lord Jesus, develop new friendships, and have fun as they work together to see which team will reign supreme as ACI 2019 Champions!
