Songs of Praise and Comfort Great is Thy Faithfulness Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father; There is no shadow of turning with thee; Thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not; As thou hast been thou forever will be. Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed thy hand hath provided; Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me! Summer and winter and springtime and harvest, Sun, moon and stars in their courses above Join with all nature in manifold witness To thy great faithfulness, mercy and love. Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide; Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside! Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed thy hand hath provided; Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
What A Friend We Have In Jesus
What a friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer! Oh, what peace we often forfeit, Oh, what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry Everything to God in prayer!
Are we weak and heavy-laden, Cumbered with a load of care? Precious Savior, still our refuge Take it to the Lord in prayer. Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer! In His arms He’ll take and shield thee, Thou wilt find a solace there.
Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged Take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful, Who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness; Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised Thou wilt all our burdens bear; May we ever, Lord, be bringing All to Thee in earnest prayer. Soon in glory bright, unclouded, There will be no need for prayer Rapture, praise, and endless worship Will be our sweet portion there.
A 74 YEAR JOURNEY OF LOVE & COMMITMENT
To My Husband
I love it that you’re not like anyone else I know. I love it that you married me, knowing that it wouldn’t be simple, that living with me was unlikely to be a walk in the park. I love it that out of all the thousands of ways it could have turned out, my life turned to you. And now, everything marriage has taught me. The good times and hard times, all the fun and struggle and change. This sweet complicated togetherness of ours. I love it I love you.
To Our Father
Thank you Dad for all the years of giving and caring, of patient teaching and loving discipline, Thank you for all the years of listening to our problems, guiding us into making our own decisions, and sharing our disappointments as well as our dreams.
After Today
By Annette Taylor-Spence What will tomorrow be like after today... When you are no longer here to show me the way? When the new day dawns with a great big smile... How will my heart feel as I sit and reflect for a while? How do I move on while holding to the past... Worried that in time these memories will not last? Wondering if next week, next month, next year... Everything will be erased as if I did not care Tomorrow will never ever be like today Because today you have left - gone away Leaving memories of the times we shared Of all you did to show us you cared I do not know what tomorrow holds But I will face each day as life unfolds With the assurance that Jesus is in control I will step into the future whatever the toll Comfort and strength comes from God above The one who enfolds me with His love For each tomorrow when a new day I face I will hold fast to Jesus and continue this race Yes, tomorrow will never be like today But tomorrow I can welcome a brand new day

For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been thus destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see God. (Job 19:25-26 ESV)
