WAS
HER LIFE
B
rianna Symone Britt was born on February 15, 1995. A native of Miami, Florida, she was a proud graduate from Miami Carol City Senior High School (home of the Mighty Chiefs), graduating Magna Cum Laude Class of 2013. While attending MCC she was a dedicated member of the superior rated Flagette Team. Brianna attended Broward College, majoring in English. She was a passionate blogger, writer and an aspiring author. Brianna’s life would seem too short to many. However, those who were touched by her
understand that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her infectious smile could melt the hearts of those around her and though she never spoke a word, her voice
and thoughts could always be heard. Brianna possessed strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds and challenges. With her courage, she led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. She would spend hours reading and writing creative stories; she enjoyed music, sleeping late, spending time with her best friends, but most of all Brianna was a phenomenal make-up artist. With Brianna’s passing we remind others that her life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss her every day, especially her winning smile and laughter, she will forever remain in our hearts. Through her teachings about life, we are able to create wonderful memories. She is survived by her loving
parents Jacquelyn Carter Britt and Frederick Leon Britt; sisters, Alexis Britt and Unika Carter; brother, Travis Evans; maternal grandmother, Marion Carter and paternal grandmother; Eleanor Britt; niece Jiselle; nephews Terry and Alexander; and hosts of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Her grandfathers - Fred Carter and Freddie Britt have already left this earthly abode. We remember them all with love.

The flower that blooms in adversity is the most beautiful of them all. Many are the plans in a man’s heart but it is the Lord’s purpose that will prevail. All things work together for the good of those who love God.

DO YOU SEE ME NOW!
The Poets’ Corner

As I stand in the mirror two reflections I see… One quiet and shy - the other adventurous and full of life. Who would imagine I would be on earth for only a quick moment. In one reflection - so many things I never got to say or do… But in my other reflection I lived… loved… dreamed… Explored my passion for composing creative literature. Don’t cry for me - I am walking on streets of gold No more sadness… no pain… no tears here can be found I had a contagious smile on earth - Well, you should see me now. I will say goodbye for now… I know I will see you all one day. I used to write, paint faces, and design while on earth. Do you see me now… painting masterpieces in the sky? Love you Bri
- 21 DASHES Annette Taylor-Spence
You bounced on the scene and the world took notice Vibrant...vivacious...full of vigor Here comes Bri, always on the go... One dash to fill...an allotted time The dash, the only time we have Not measured in hours, days, or years But the content of a purposeful life Was that your goal - Did you realize? Twenty one years to some a gap... Of youthful days designed for fun For you a lifetime...your entire span To learn, to grow, to touch our lives When others faded - you glowed Your smile radiated through a crowd 21 dashes...full of laughter and love As you raced to the finish and left your mark
