SONGS OF HOPE Blessed Assurance

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! O what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God Born of his Spirit, washed in his blood

Perfect submission, perfect delight Visions of rapture now burst on my sight Angels descending bring from above Echoes of mercy, whispers of love

Chorus This is my story, this is my song Praising my Saviour all the day long This is my story, this is my song Praising my Saviour all the day long

Perfect submission, all is at rest I in my Saviour am happy and blest Watching and waiting, looking above Filled with His goodness, lost in His love

When We All Get to Heaven

Sing the wondrous love of Jesus Sing his mercy and his grace In the mansions bright and blessed He’ll prepare for us a place

While we walk the pilgrim pathway Clouds will overspread the sky But when travlin’ days are over Not a shadow, not a sigh

Chorus When we all get to heaven What a day of rejoicing that will be When we all see Jesus We’ll sing and shout the victory

Onward to the prize before us Soon his beauty we’ll behold Soon the pearly gates will open We shall tread the streets of gold

This was his life…

Born in St. Catherine, Jamaica, May 15, 1934 to Eugenie (1910 - 1968) & Augustas Needham (1904 – 1988), Clifford was the second eldest of 11 children. (Ezekiel, Clifford, Icehilda, Everald, Norris, Lilly, Hyman, Joy, Hope, Gilbert & Carmen). As a young man growing up in Jamaica, Clifford learned masonry work and farming. On the weekends, he and his older siblings would help at the market and on the family farm. In the autumn of 1959, at the age of 25, Clifford was the first of his siblings to leave Jamaica and migrate to London, England where he settled in Paddington, West London. He was soon followed by Everald, Icehilda and Ezekiel. In 1964, Clifford married Hilda Gordon who grew up in the neighboring parish of St. Mary and who had also migrated from Jamaica to London. Clifford was skilled in a variety of work and his early years in London were spent working for Southall Gas Board, a steel company, as a contract painter and decorator. From farming with his father back in Jamaica, Clifford developed a love for the outdoors and gardening. In London he rented an allotment where he would spend evenings and weekends planting and cultivating a variety of produce (potatoes, onions, corn and carrots), which he would share with his family and friends. Clifford’s other passion was wine making and he was known for his renowned roots tonic. He maintained this tonic was the cure/remedy for any ailment. In 1987 Clifford and his wife migrated once again, this time to sunny Florida where they settled in Miami. He enjoyed traveling and a yearly cruise with his friends was one of his favorite things to do. Clifford was an achiever

and loved the freedom and independence of working for himself. When he set himself a goal, without a doubt, he was going to achieve it. He was determined and driven. He liked to be busy, and for him retirement was not an option. He continued to work in his business until last year. Clifford was a man of faith. As a child, he attended the local Methodist church in Guys Hill with his mother. He was baptized and received the Holy Ghost at the age of 20. When he moved to the United Kingdom, he was a founding member of Calvary Temple United Pentecostal Church, located in Camberwell, South London. Upon moving to Miami, he made Pentecostal Tabernacle his home church when they started in 1996 and was an active member of the Opa-Locka Outreach Ministry. Clifford was a loyal friend, provider and a generous man who would help anyone in need. Clifford is preceded in death by his beloved son, Martin (1969 – 2004) and siblings Ezekiel, Hyman and Joy. He is survived by his wife, Hilda Needham; children - Audrey (Mary), Paulette and Stephen; grandchildren - Aaron, Seon and Bethany; great grandchildren - Joshua, Sierra and Landon and a host of loving relatives and friends. Although greatly missed, Clifford is forever in our heats.

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. Psalms 27: 1 & 4-5 Homegoing Celebration of Clifford N. I’M FREE

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free, I’m following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard his call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I’ve found that peace at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My Life’s been full, I savoured much, Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch, Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free.
