He Leadeth Me

Congregation

He leadeth me, O blessed thought! O words with heav’nly comfort fraught! Whate’er I do, where’er I be Still ’tis God’s hand that leadeth me. Refrain: He leadeth me, He leadeth me, By His own hand He leadeth me; His faithful foll’wer I would be, For by His hand He leadeth me. Sometimes ’mid scenes of deepest gloom, Sometimes where Eden’s bowers bloom,

By waters still, o’er troubled sea, Still ’tis His hand that leadeth me. Lord, I would place my hand in Thine, Nor ever murmur nor repine; Content, whatever lot I see, Since ’tis my God that leadeth me. And when my task on earth is done, When by Thy grace the vict’ry’s won, E’en death’s cold wave I will not flee, Since God through Jordan leadeth me.

In The Great Triumphant Morning Congregation

1. In the great triumphant morning, When we hear the Bridegroom cry, And the dead in Christ shall rise, We’ll be changed to life immortal, In the twinkling of an eye, And meet Jesus in the skies. Refrain We shall all rise to meet Him, We shall all rise to greet Him, In the morning when the dead in Christ shall rise We shall all rise to meet Him, We shall all rise to greet Him, And shall have the marriage supper in the skies. 2. In the great triumphant morning, What a happy time ’twill be, When the dead in Christ shall rise,

When the Lord descends in glory, Sets His waiting children free, And we meet Him in the skies. [Refrain] 3. In the great triumphant morning, When the harvest is complete, And the dead in Christ shall rise, We’ll be crowned with life immortal, Christ and all the loved ones meet, In the rapture in the skies. [Refrain] 4. In the great triumphant morning, All the kingdom we’ll possess, Then the dead in Christ shall rise, Reign as kings and priests eternal, Under Christ forever blest, After meeting in the skies. Old Account Settled

A favorite Song led by Choir

There was a time on earth when in the book of Heav’n An old account was standing for sins yet unforgiv’n; My name was at the top, and many things below— I went unto the Keeper, and settled long ago. Refrain: Long ago, long ago, Yes, the old account was settled long ago; And the record’s clear today, for He washed my sins away, When the old account was settled long ago. The old account was large, and growing every day, For I was always sinning, and never tried to pay; But when I looked ahead, and saw such pain and woe, I said that I would settle—I settled long ago. When in that happy home, my Savior’s home above, I’ll sing redemption’s story, and praise Him for His love; I’ll not forget that book, with pages white as snow, Because I came and settled, and settled long ago. O sinner, trust the Lord, be cleansed of all your sin, For thus He hath provided for you to enter in; And then if you should live a hundred years below, Up there you’ll not regret it—you settled long ago.

EULOGY Daughter – Mrs. Evadne Gooden - Harper and Granddaughter Ceciliann Harper SONG OF MEDITATION Sister Jackie Davis SERMON Pastor Logan Morris PRAYER FOR THE FAMILY Bishop Delroy Miller RECESSIONAL HYMN

Oh I want to see Him As I journey through the land, singing as I go, Pointing souls to Calvary—to the crimson flow, Many arrows pierce my soul from without, within; But my Lord leads me on, through Him I must win. Refrain: Oh, I want to see Him, look upon His face, There to sing forever of His saving grace; On the streets of glory let me lift my voice, Cares all past, home at last, ever to rejoice. When in service for my Lord dark may be the night, But I’ll cling more close to Him, He will give me light; Satan’s snares may vex my soul, turn my thoughts aside; But my Lord goes ahead, leads whate’er betide. When in valleys low I look toward the mountain height, And behold my Savior there, leading in the fight, With a tender hand outstretched toward the valley low, Guiding me, I can see, as I onward go. When before me billows rise from the mighty deep, Then my Lord directs my bark; He doth safely keep, And He leads me gently on through this world below; He’s a real Friend to me, oh, I love Him so.

Mable Elizabeth Gooden Nee Morris (Aunt May) June 15, 1930 – February 13, 2018

unday June 15,1930 may have gone down in history as just another day for many but not so for the Morris’ family. Clementina and Wilford were blessed with the birth of their precious child Mable Elizabeth Morris, affectionately called May. Very early in her life her entrepreneurial spirit mingled with kindness and a deep sense of love and loyalty endeared her to the hearts of many. Aunt May grew up in Darliston and later nurtured her own children in this town, passing on the spirit of entrepreneurship to them. Mable worked hard and did very well in anything she chose to do. In her early years, she worked for a while with Bishop Robinson and later as a caregiver with a family in Kingston. She always worked in one field or another but would always pull out her business skills and use them to help to support her family as much as possible. A woman of grace, unsurpassed kindness and love, Mable Gooden was wife to Cornelius Gooden for 57 years. Their love flourished and grew over the years and so did their household. The mother of 3 boys, Kevin, Uton and Darnville and 3 girls Evadne, Judith, and Angelina. She consistently extended the borders of her immediate family and the walls of her home to give to one and all. It is no wonder that it was always a delight for the children who came to visit Aunt May for holidays. It was not surprising to those who knew Mable, that her young heart would have responded to the loving appeal of a savior who gave his life for all. She met and fell in love with the Lord Jesus Christ and her life is a testimony of prayerful love, service and devotion to her God. She was a member of the choir, Sunday School Teacher and a Missionary as she ministered in the church. Many souls were drawn to the Lord through her missionary work in Carawina Petersfield. Throughout her life she impacted the lives of many. Her passion was to alleviate the plight of the neglected. She often visited the sick and shut in always ministering to their needs. Aunt May’s generosity will remain as part of her legacy and will never be forgotten. Aunt May went home to be with the Lord on February 13, 2018. She passed away quietly at the family home in Darliston. Mable Elizabeth Gooden is lovingly remembered by her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchild, brothers, James, Wilbert, Cleveland, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A brother and three sisters predeceased her. May her soul rest in peace.

My Grandma

How do you match a love That seeks no return unrequited prayers That has no boundary- where strangers felt That was nothing short of overwhelming You couldn’t, I just sat and baked in it.

The love was pure and unadulterated seemingly not of this world When bellies were empty you filled When bones ached you mended When souls strayed you prayed And like a shepherd, the herd always felt safe I cried so many nights for I knew I lost a piece of me. The best piece, the piece that everyone envied. I’ve learned that people will forget what you said or what you did but people will never forget how you made them feel. While watching from above I hope to make you proud. To: Grandma From: Nykyle Gooden-Peters

All that I am or hope to be I owe it all to my angel mother -Abraham Lincoln

When I Must Leave You When I must leave you For a little whilePlease do not grieve And shed wild tears And hug your sorrow to you Through the years. But start out bravely With a gallant smile; And for my sake and In my name live on And do all things the same. Feed not your loneliness On empty days. But fill each working hour In useful ways, Reach out your hand In comfort and in cheer And I in turn will comfort you And hold you near; And never, never Be afraid to die. For I am waiting on you in the sky!
