Songs of Hope Precious Memories

I’ll Fly Away

Precious memories, unseen angels, Sent from somewhere to my soul. How they linger, ever near me, And the sacred past unfolds.

Some glad morning when this life is o’er, I’ll fly away; To a home on God’s celestial shore, I’ll fly away (I’ll fly away).

Chorus: Precious memories how they linger, How they ever flood my soul. In the stillness, of the midnight. Precious sacred scenes unfold.

Chorus: I’ll fly away, Oh Glory I’ll fly away; (in the morning) When I die, Hallelujah, by and by, I’ll fly away (I’ll fly away).

Precious father, loving mother Fly across the lonely years And old home scenes of my childhood In fond memory appears

When the shadows of this life have gone, I’ll fly away; Like a bird from prison bars has flown, I’ll fly away (I’ll fly away)

Chorus

Chorus

As I travel on life’s pathway, Know not what the years may hold; As I ponder, hope grows fonder, Precious memories flood my soul.

Just a few more weary days and then, I’ll fly away; To a land where joy shall never end, I’ll fly away (I’ll fly away)

Chorus

Chorus

Songs of Hope cont. On Jordan’s Stormy Banks On Jordan’s stormy banks I stand, And cast a wishful eye To Canaan’s fair and happy land, Where my possessions lie. Chorus: I am bound for the promised land, I am bound for the promised land; Oh, who will come and go with me? I am bound for the promised land. O’er all those wide, extended plains Shines one eternal day; There God the Son forever reigns, And scatters night away.

No chilling winds or poisonous breath Can reach that healthful shore; Sickness and sorrow, pain and death, Are felt and feared no more. When I shall reach that happy place, I’ll be forever blest, For I shall see my Father’s face, And in His bosom rest. Filled with delight my raptured soul Would here no longer stay; Though Jordan’s waves around me roll, Fearless, I’d launch away.

If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. (1 Corinthians 15:19-20)

Remembering Grandma With love from all your grandchildren

It’s always sad but comforting, to silently recall Your smile and dear familiar face, so loved by one and all For the world may keep turning and change from day to day But precious memories of you, will never fade away And here’s hoping that this message, which carries so much love Will somehow find it’s way to you, in heaven up above It’s to let you know, dear grandma That although you are at rest You’ll live forever in the hearts, of those who loved you best Contributed - Author unknown

Memories of my Mother-in-Law Donovan Dennis

Eugennie and I sat up late at nights talking and eating. She was my companion. She was my ice-cream, banana, and mango partner. One of her sayings was “banana and mango can eat anytime”, so we often enjoyed them when we were up late. We also laughed a lot and watched movies together. My mother-in-law meant the world to me and so with her passing it hurts a lot. However, I know she is resting in the arms of God because she knew her personal saviour - Jesus Christ.

Mother Beverlyn

My mother was a caring person She was a strong prayer warrior She set the example of how to serve God and be true She was humble and peaceful She was always giving She had a heart full of love Take your rest mother – you are at peace with Jesus

Thank You

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all those who supported us during this time of loss. We will always remember your kindness and love which was extended in so many different ways. Pall Bearers

Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1 Corinthians 15:51-52
