Hudson was born in Albany, GA on November 9, 1997 to Darnell and Regina Holley. Hudson had one sibling, Rachel Holley. Hudson graduated from Bainbridge High School in 2016 and went on to attend Bainbridge College where he sought a General Studies degree. He looked forward to transferring to Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University to pursue a degree in Graphic Design. He became a successful sales associate for Hibbett Sports and Belk Department Store. He was a member of Metropolitan Cathedral of Truth, where he briefly served with the Media Ministry. Hudson became a well adored mentor for 101 Mentoring. His desire was to live a meaningful life, in peace and harmony with others. Hudson attested that 2019 had been the best year of his life; little to no sickness, he acquired his first (two) jobs, and a brand-new car. A year well-lived. Hudson has been described by his friends as a ray of light and the G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time) because of his care and concern for everyone he met, despite his own personal battles. He always demonstrated empathy and grace for others through his love for God. Hudson was known for his genuine smile, issuing hope & sound advice, and his respectful mannerism. Hudson is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Helen and Chester Holley, Sr., maternal grandfather

A Poem About

SICKLE CELL Brian Sessions

We often hear that blood is way thicker than water but never really hear to what extent Millions of people world wide feel exactly how thick bloods gets Stiff rods form, get stuck in a cell It’s like moving Thor’s hammer from hell Would rather crescent blood moons But instead they settle, by force, for crescent blood cells Would rather pop sickles only But instead its red sickle cells then blood stops flowing Five percent of the earth’s population has the trait, well 5 percent know it In any given year it’s up to 200,000 cases and that number keeps growing & growing They’ll tell, from experience, you and I in an instant “Trapped cells aren’t limited to convictions” Bodies too can feel like prisons When trading doctorates for doctor visits The most common genetic disorder in the States These traits are no respecters of race See just because you have the trait don’t mean you have the disease You could have empty pockets and still sickle stuck in your genes No pain, doesn’t mean, no trace No cure, doesn’t mean no faith Ask Ryan Clark, Tiki Barber, Prodigy, T-Boz, Lorenz Tate Rest In Peace Miles Davis Don’t get it twisted though it can fill like prison Diagnosis isn’t a death sentence But next time you quote blood is thicker than water Know that some folk feel it at its thickest There is still no universal cure for sickle cell disease. Stop what you’re doing and help raise awareness.
