PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Tis the season to be jolly!
As the Christmas holiday approaches, I would like to take a moment to thank our members. Without you, there would
PRESIDENT JUDI STITH
be no Woman’s Club. I hope that this holiday season is filled with lots of joy, love, and family. May the New Year, 2019 bring you good health, and prosperity!
The holidays should be time for celebration, generosity, and giving meaningful gifts. Of course the best place to do your shopping is on December 7th, at the Woman’s Club building for the Silent Auction event. There will be several big bidding items, as always, for you to bid on. (no live auction this year) Barbara Stancill and her helpers have been very busy creating gifts to be purchased. The Christmas tree and all the decorations are up and ready for a joyful meeting. Chris Kracmer and her committee will be serving a delicious lunch. Reni Cook has scheduled a choir for us to enjoy. The club is ready for everyone to get in the Christmas spirit. The Fall Brunch was a big success! Thanks to all our members who attended and invited family and friends to join them for this fun event. Thanks to Brenda Skinner and her committee for all the food and bacon cooking that makes this event successful. Projects next event will be Winter Bunco on January19th. This night is always so much fun. Good food, prizes for everyone and so much fun. Please save this date for a goodtime! The Cindy Taplin Tea on November 17th, benefiting Brighter Tomorrows, was well supported by Grand Prairie Woman’s Club members. Several members displayed table settings, others provided food for the tea and many more attended. Thanks to all members who help make this charitable event a success! I want to wish you all a blessed and jolly Christmas and a very happy New Year!

KIDS I.N.C.
BARBARA LEVITZ
BARBARA STANCILL
The time is drawing near for our transition to close the location at the Boze Building on College Street. We will be packing up the kid’s clothes and distributing them to the three different schools (Adams, LBJ and Truman). The counselors at these schools will be handling the appointments and clothing the children. We will still be purchasing the clothing and recording statistics which is needed for our grant funding.
We are in dire need of coats as the weather has turned really cold. Jorja Jackson Clemson spoke with the City of Grand Prairie and they will be doing a coat drive for us. If anyone would like to donate, we will be happy to take them. We would like to thank Janelle Bicknell D.D.S. for her donation. We are still taking monetary donations. We are trying to give new clothing now instead of gently used. We appreciate all donations, whether large or small. Thank you for your continued support of this program. Without your help, this program would not be possible.
