PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

At this writing, there is a welcome touch of fall in the air. Of course, summer is hanging on for as long as possible, but we have had a taste! Our Membership meeting last month was great. Membership Chair Brenda Skinner and her committee prepared a fabulous lunch for us and the room couldn’t have been prettier! We have three new membership applications and hope to get more at our next meeting! PRESIDENT Paulette Reid

We have been putting out as much information as we can about our ‘Elegant Designed Tables’ Event to be held on October 23, 2021 from

10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It is going to be spectacular! If you haven’t already purchased a ticket for $20, please do so as we know you will enjoy the event and it will benefit our scholarships. AND there is still space if you want to participate in designing a table. Additional exciting information will be shared about our upcoming Christmas Auction at the meeting. The paintings on display at the Club were painted by Norma Cambron, artist and mother to me and Claudette Justin. Our mother did not begin taking art lessons until she was in her 50’s and I am so proud of what she accomplished. Many of her paintings were awarded 1st place and other ribbons and many were purchased. Please enjoy viewing them. Finally, please don’t forget to call the Club (972-264-2320) and make your reservation for the October 1 General Meeting. At this time we are still having telephone recorder problems, so even though the recording states to leave a message, it is not recording a message. Please call and speak with Jill or you can email me at pr2664@prodigy.net to make your reservation. Look forward to seeing you October 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m!
