Data from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce suggests that 99% of all businesses in our country are small businesses, and those 33.2 million small businesses make up roughly 40% of the United States economy.

Our community reflects the national numbers on a smaller scale. The Greater Green Bay Chamber defines any business with less than 50 employees as a small business. Small businesses make up more than 80% of our membership base, and we are proud to offer them support and resources through programming, events and workspaces.

This edition showcases just some of the small businesses that have invested in Greater Green Bay, doing meaningful work and making direct contributions to our local community. As you read their stories, continue supporting them and other small businesses in our area by shopping small this holiday season and throughout the year.

FOODelicious Catering: From Passion to CommunityDriven Culinary Excellence

FOODelicious Catering was born from my lifelong passion for food and a dedication to a healthier, more personalized approach to catering. My career began early in the Chicago catering scene, where I managed high-profile events, crafting menus for intimate dinners and grand celebrations alike. Over the years, I honed my skills through roles in diverse settings—diners, country clubs, and more—each adding a unique layer to my expertise in crafting memorable dining experiences. This path, coupled with a personal journey toward health after an autoimmune diagnosis, laid the foundation for FOODelicious Catering, where food is both delicious and nourishing.

During the challenging years of widespread lockdowns and restrictions, FOODelicious pivoted to support our community in innovative ways. We began curating monthly boxed lunches for a corporate client, delivering 600+ meals across multiple locations. This unique service allowed employees to enjoy safe, gourmet meals during a difficult period of uncertainty. It was an opportunity to demonstrate that, even in the most demanding circumstances, we could meet large-scale needs with quality and care.

As events slowly returned, we adapted our offerings to meet evolving client expectations. For example, our partnership with the Greater Green Bay Chamber opened new avenues to engage with local businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders. Working with the Chamber allowed us to help shape local events, bringing custom menus and a warm, memorable touch to gatherings that celebrate Green Bay’s entrepreneurial spirit. We’re also proud to continue our services at the Green Bay Botanical Garden, where we are a preferred caterer and have been the exclusive caterer for their Friday night concert series. This partnership allows us to share our culinary expertise in a scenic outdoor setting, serving fresh, seasonally inspired dishes that enhance the concert experience.

Our media collaborations, like appearances on Good Day Wisconsin with Emily Deem on WLUK FOX 11 and Living with Amy, helped FOODelicious share culinary tips and tricks with a broader audience, reinforcing our commitment to helping people create amazing meals at home and at events. These segments allowed us to showcase our signature clean, customized approach, bringing viewers into the world of FOODelicious and inspiring them to celebrate the art of food.

As we look to the future, FOODelicious Catering is excited to continue serving as a trusted culinary partner for corporate and community events. Whether it’s a largescale celebration, an intimate gathering, our signature curated charcuterie tables/ boards/boxes, or ongoing corporate catering, we offer food that delights and nourishes. FOODelicious is here to elevate every occasion, providing FOOD that is DELICIOUS and a unique touch for experiences you won’t forget.

Discover the Holiday Vibe in Downtown Green Bay

Historically, a city’s downtown was the hub of business and during the holiday season, there was a special emphasis on retail shopping. Today, big box stores and online shopping have made it too easy to avoid taking the time to shop local. I’m here to ask you to reconsider. Trust, me, you won’t be sorry.

Small Business Saturday is November 30th, and locally, many of our downtown businesses will roll out the retail red carpet with special promotions and offers. When you enter a small business downtown, you will likely meet the owner. You will be greeted warmly and will quickly realize that the person assisting you genuinely cares about your shopping experience. The ambiance, product offerings and high degree of customer service matters to them because they know that in order to develop a lasting, sustainable business, they need to build a loyal customer base. Small businesses like this contribute significantly to the character of a community, provide employment opportunities, and contribute to a strong local economic impact. Throughout the country, Downtown Districts are home to many specialty shops that contribute to a special Downtown vibe and retail experience. We’re thankful that the Downtown Green Bay Districts also feature numerous impressive specialty shops, and we would love to have you discover and patronize them this holiday season.

Holiday events in the Downtown District are also a chance to create a memorable experience with family or friends. Downtown Green Bay, Inc. hosts several key events to help you

find your holiday vibe. On December 14th, a Holiday Market will be held at the KI Convention Center with local vendors filling an entire room while providing opportunities to purchase baked goods, local food products and, especially, holiday gifts. While supporting these local entrepreneurs, you’ll not only see friends and neighbors, but you’ll feel the holiday spirit and may even opt to take a photo with Santa! In addition to these events, you can catch a show at the Meyer Theatre, invite your friends to a wine tasting, plan a special holiday dinner at one of our locally-owned and authentic restaurants, or take a stroll along the Fox River to see the CityDeck beautifully lit for the holidays.

This holiday season, I’d ask you to consider an outing to Green Bay’s Downtown District. Be the initiator and surprise your friends or family by introducing them to a restaurant or festive experience, and it just might become a new tradition! Check out DowntownGreenBay.com for details. Happy Holidays!

25 Seasons of Local Entertainment for Let Me

Be Frank Productions

We’re Just Getting Started!

We at Let Me Be Frank Productions like to think of ourselves as theater for non-theater people. If you combine an episode of Saturday Night Live with a pop concert, you might have an idea of what a show of ours includes. Let Me Be Frank Productions has been entertaining N.E. Wisconsin for 25 seasons. Since beginning in 2000, we have shared over 145 different shows with over 350,000 audience members – and we’re still going strong! We are fast becoming people’s most favorite theater destination in Wisconsin. Our all-original musicals will have you wowing at the talent, laughing in the aisle, and singing a tune of yesteryear on your way home. With titles like, “Bay Beach Boys,” “2 1/2 Belgians,” and “Fort Howard: We Wipe America,” we invite you to come and join in on the fun at the historic Meyer Theatre in downtown Green Bay.

Our next show is a beloved Northeast Wisconsin tradition — our annual “A Frank’s Christmas” show featuring holiday tunes you know and love! “A Frank’s Christmas” takes place at the Meyer Theatre, November 29-December 28, 2024. What’s this year’s show all about? Well, the holiday season is for families, food, and making memories, right? Well, that’s all June Griswoldski wants for Christmas in 1965. She would love to reconnect with her sister, Lisa Johnson. The unfortunate part is that their husbands, Ward Griswoldski and “Cousin” Eddie Johnson, don’t quite get along as brothers-in-law. A few too many games of sheepshead in 1962 left Ward empty-handed and convinced Eddie was cheating. It’s been downhill since. This year will be different though! Eddie, Lisa, Ruby Sue, and Rocky Johnson from Christmas, Michigan travel to Pulaski, Wisconsin to spend the holidays with Ward, June, Wally, and Beaver Griswoldski. Wally can’t wait to see his cousin, Ruby Sue, again. Much to his dismay, Beaver is the perfect chaperone whenever Ruby Sue is around! And Rocky, well… Rocky is just happy to be included. Can Ward and Eddie put aside their differences to make this a Christmas to remember? You’ll have to see in this all-original Christmas musical comedy!

After our Christmas show is complete, we’ll roll right into our 26th season with the following titles:

Anchorman: Hello Green Bay February 6-23, 2025

The King of Krakow April 3-19, 2025

Found My Thrill on Scray’s Hill July 17-August 10, 2025

The Farmacy: Nourishing Our Community, One Meal at a Time

At The Farmacy, we believe food is more than just sustenance—it’s a path to healing. Our journey began in January 2022, founded by Lauren Posa and Dr. Patrick Flynn of The Wellness Way, with a mission to serve restorative, anti-inflammatory meals that support health without sacrificing taste or affordability.

Lauren’s story is the heart of our business. In 2018, she was diagnosed with Rat Lungworm Disease (Angiostrongyliasis), a debilitating condition that left her heavily medicated with no hope for recovery. The long-term prognosis was nerve pain and medication for life. But Lauren’s life took a transformative turn

when she discovered The Wellness Way. By addressing the factors contributing to her inflammation through personalized testing, supplements, and lifestyle changes, she came off all her medications in just a few months. This recovery ignited a passion within Lauren to bring healing through food to others.

With an associate’s degree in sustainable cuisine and certification as a health restoration coach, Lauren teamed up with Dr. Flynn, and together, they created The Farmacy. Our eatery is based on the principles that helped Lauren heal: an anti-inflammatory, nutrientdense diet using clean, simple ingredients. From cooking with avocado oil to crafting homemade meals free from processed additives, every dish we serve is designed to nourish the body and support individual health goals.

We know maintaining a healthy lifestyle can be challenging, especially when it comes to food choices. That’s why we’re dedicated to providing homemade meals that not only nourish but empower you to take control of your well-being. We focus on transparency in ingredients and affordability, ensuring our meals fit into your lifestyle without breaking the bank.

Beyond serving delicious food, The Farmacy is a community hub where you can learn how to support your health. Whether you’re attending one of our cooking classes, meal prep sessions, or catering events, we aim to educate and inspire. We’re committed to meeting your unique health needs while making healthy eating accessible and enjoyable.

This holiday season, as you shop local and support small businesses, we invite you to discover how The Farmacy can be part of your wellness journey. Together, we can nourish our community—one meal at a time.

Preserving the Heart of Your Story: The Art of Boutique Photography

In today’s digital age, where countless photos are taken, swiped through, and forgotten, there’s something deeply meaningful about creating tangible, lasting artwork that captures the people and moments we hold dear. As a boutique photographer, I’m passionate about crafting more than just images—I create heirloom pieces of artwork. My work centers on preserving the stories of families, friends, and beloved pets, bringing joy to homes through custom wall art and beautifully bound photo albums.

Each session I photograph is an invitation to pause and celebrate the unique bonds and shared experiences that define us. People come to me because they know photography is more than a quick snapshot. It’s a chance to capture a child’s laughter, the peaceful gaze of a loyal pet, and the deep connections that give life meaning. These are the memories worth cherishing, and I aim to create art that allows my clients to relive these moments every day.

The pieces I create—whether gallerywrapped canvases, elegantly framed prints, or custom-designed albums—do more than decorate a space; they honor your story and make it a part of your everyday life. Wall art transforms a house into a home, inviting you and your loved ones to pause, smile, and remember. A photo album, carefully curated and beautifully designed, becomes a treasure

that holds an entire narrative—bringing you back to those irreplaceable times with every page and offering a legacy to pass down to future generations.

Working closely with families and pet owners is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. By taking the time to understand each person’s story, I’m able to capture not only the essence of each individual but also the subtle, heartfelt connections they share with one another. This personal approach is what sets my work apart, making each piece truly meaningful. It’s not just about the photos—it’s about the emotions, the bonds, and the love that will be remembered long after the moment has passed.

Our loved ones—both people and pets— won’t be with us forever, but through photography, their presence, joy, and spirit can live on. That’s the power of a meaningful photograph: it’s an anchor to a time and a feeling, a way of holding onto what matters most. For families who value connection, emotion, and beauty, my photography offers a way to keep these precious memories alive, close to the heart, and forever part of your home.

I’m Michelle Blackman, Founder and Executive Director of the non-profit charity Giving Is Good, Inc. Based at the Startup Hub for five years, we began our mission in May 2019 to bring resources to those in need through six impactful programs:

Giving Small Businesses Space to Launch & Grow

Identifying and securing a space to operate may be a challenge for small businesses, especially those that are just beginning their entrepreneurship journey. The Greater Green Bay Chamber operates two spaces designed with the amenities and programming small businesses need to grow and thrive.

The Startup Hub is both a physical space and the virtual front door to the Greater Green Bay entrepreneurial ecosystem. It offers a centralized starting point for entrepreneurs, innovators and businesses seeking resources in Greater Green Bay.

The Urban Hub is a modern co-working space and programming hub located in the heart of Downtown Green Bay.

We invite you to continue reading to learn more about the entrepreneurs and small businesses operating out of each of these spaces.

How has your experience been working at Urban Hub/Startup Hub? Why do you work in that space? What keeps you coming back? We enjoy being a permanent tenant in the Urban Hub. Access to meeting rooms as well as phone booths, and the large gathering space allows us to meet with clients, host bidding events, and meet other business people that share in the space. It is important to Dimension IV that we remain on Broadway after doing so for over 20 years, so when downsizing after the pandemic the Hub was the easy choice.

Tell us about your business. At illumyx, we call ourselves the People Insights company. We are a boutique data consultancy that primarily works with companies going through the uncertainty of transitions. We’ve found a unique niche in serving coaches and consultants as we’ve found they often lack the time or expertise to conduct deep analysis and evaluating their impact in their client engagements. We help them add value to their client engagements by utilizing our science backed assessments for individuals, teams, and organizations/ culture.

How has your experience been working at Urban Hub/Startup Hub? Why do you work in that space? What keeps you coming back? We work with organizations and consultants from around the country. We also work with a lot of contractors so the Urban Hub gives us flexibility as we grow and develop our products/services. It’s also been a great way to network and get connected with new talent and new ideas in the community. The rent/fee is affordable and supports the current hybrid workmodel that fits our business needs.

Biebel’s Catering & Rental: Over 120 Years in the Making!

Most corporations, families and friends need a caterer for several occasions over the course of their lifetime.

Since 1903, Biebel’s Catering & Rental has been proud to be a part of many wonderful events and memories. The Biebel family started and owned Biebel’s until the current owner, Kim Agostine, bought the company in May of 2017. As Paul Biebel likes to tell the story, he ran into Kim and began to quickly and animatedly tell her his current woes of how he lost his office manager and couldn’t even use a computer!

After working with Paul for six months and negotiating a buyout, Kim dove in head-first and started building the current version of Biebel’s Catering & Rental: a local business that strives to put out a quality product with quality ingredients in an efficient, customer servicefriendly manner. It is a philosophy that is carried throughout each department, whether it is the kitchen, rental team, caterers or event planners. Our culture believes in our company vision, believes in each other and works hard to achieve above and beyond what is expected.

WHAT MAKES A CATERING EVENT A SUCCESS?

1. Easy, efficient communication in planning the event.

2. Timely follow through. We commit to customers hearing back from us within 24 hours. 3. Competitive pricing.

4. Delicious food, is presented well.

5. Service staff is attentive.

6. All needs are met during the event serve time.

7. Take down and clean up are precise. We like to say we will leave an area better than how we found it.

8. A satisfied customer!

Hiring our current General Manager, Heather, was a big step in improving our processes, technology, scheduling and overall staff management. Heather has brought intelligence, fortitude, ideas, big picture awareness and a willingness to put the team first!

Biebel’s has made many improvements over the past few years. We have built a warehouse environment in our building to make our rental program more efficient. We re-configured the kitchen to handle higher volume. We invested in equipment and vehicles to support our growing business. Most importantly, we have invested in our staff by increasing wages, adding benefits and creating a positive work environment and team concept.

As we continue to grow, we are building smartly and working hard to grow correctly.

Biebel’s averages 60-110 events per week throughout the summer and fall. We can do a large number of events in the same day and events with large guest counts.

In the spirit of togetherness, Biebel’s Catering & Rental looks forward to helping our customers this holiday season and in the new year!

Building Community. Finding Adventure.

Your hands are chalky, your forearms are burning, you haven’t stopped smiling for two hours, and you’re thinking “What the heck was that?”

“That” was the feeling you get after trying rock climbing. It’s the sense of adventure as you scale 47’, the feeling of community as you and your friends high-five after your first send, and it’s the endorphins after getting in a workout. As a small business, our goal at Odyssey Climbing + Fitness is to bring “that” feeling to all of Northeast Wisconsin. What started out as a passion project has become an opportunity for us to build a community and help people find a sense of adventure in their own backyard.

I get it, some of you are probably thinking: “Climbing? Yeah, no.” Hang in there (pun intended), and I think you’ll see there’s something for you in the Odyssey community.

Odyssey is a family business. We’re run by two brothersin-law who wanted to bring climbing to Northeast Wisconsin. So, in 2019, we got to work on trying to open Green Bay’s first climbing gym. Many twists and turns later, Odyssey finally opened our doors in February of 2023. Since opening, our mission has expanded beyond bringing climbing to Green Bay: It has become building community and providing value to people’s lives.

The challenge with talent retention is well-documented in our region. Growing up in Greater-Green Bay, there were plenty of kids that I went to school with that wanted to “get out of” the area. We believe that the value Odyssey and other small businesses provide are a solution to this perception.

Odyssey is a climbing and fitness center, yes. but we are also a platform to welcome people in, give them a sense of community, and show them that Northeast Wisconsin is an amazing place to live, work and play. We provide avenues for connection and growth. From our state-of-the-art climbing walls and fitness classes to our community events, Odyssey is a third-space that gives people meaningful connection and a great place to move and push their boundaries.

This effort extends beyond our walls. We build partnerships with other small businesses and local creators to highlight the amazing things happening in Northeast Wisconsin. We lead community bike rides to local breweries, offer specials to our Members at local establishments, and buy from fellow small businesses for events. “920 Day” has been a block party we’ve put on to highlight the cool things happening in the 920-area code. Held on September 20th for the past two years, we’ve hosted local musicians, artists, breweries, food trucks, coffee shops and more to help celebrate Northeast Wisconsin.

At this point, I bet you’re ready to throw a harness on and scale our walls. Even if you’re not, hopefully you see that there is something at Odyssey for everybody. Whether you want to climb, explore our corporate membership options, or find a way to partner, please reach out. We’re here to help Build Community and Start Adventure throughout the 920.

Every October, the Greater Green Bay Chamber pauses to recognize Celebrating Manufacturing Month. It is an opportunity to shine a light on the innovation and contributions that manufacturers make every day.

Recent data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that more than 32,000 people in our community work in manufacturing. It is an industry that helped build Greater Green Bay, and the impact of manufacturing goes beyond just producing goods; it creates opportunities and drives economic growth. We celebrate the dreamers, innovators and collaborators moving the industry and community forward. From advanced technology to sustainable practices, the sector is continually evolving, and our local manufacturers are at the forefront of these changes.

Thank you to our sponsors, members, media partners and community for making this year’s event great. With your support and engagement, we organized tours at four local manufacturers throughout the month:

• Fincantieri Marine Group

• Medalcraft Mint

• American Tent

• Jones Sign

These tours provided a behind-the-scenes look at the work happening right here in Greater Green Bay for not only those in attendance but also for thousands of others who viewed pictures and videos from the tours shared on social media throughout the month.

Although the 2024 Celebrating Manufacturing Month has come to an end, the Greater Green Bay Chamber invites you to support and thank our local manufacturers throughout the year for their contributions and dedication to making our community great.

GOLDEN APPLE AWARDS

Wednesday, April 2, 2025

5:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Oneida Casino Hotel

After being inspired by a recognition event in Florida to honor teachers, Donald J. Long, Sr., founder of Imperial Inc. (now Imperial Supplies), began to lay the groundwork for the Golden Apple Awards in 1986. Thanks to his perseverance, the first Golden Apple Awards were presented in 1994. This event is one of a few recognition events of its kind nationwide, and with our partnership with WLUK FOX 11, is televised locally.
