Greensboro Country Club January | February 2020

General Manager/COO's Message (336) 275-8506

Dear Members, I hope everyone had a very happy holiday! As I look back upon the year, I would like to extend my gratitude to the 2019 Board of Directors and the President, Jason Bohrer for their dedication to GCC. It was a pleasure to work with all of the Board members and the 2019 Committees. I am looking forward to working with our 2020 Board and the new President David Egerton toward the common goal of ensuring Greensboro Country Club is the premier country club in the Triad.

as well as the North Carolina state government as to when we are to lower and raise the flag as a mark of respect in someone's memory or due to a certain incident. These notices are monitored to ensure the flag is always in compliance with government observances. I sincerely thank the Board, Committees, Membership and staff for their support over the past year and a half that I have been at GCC. I wish everyone a happy and prosperous new year in 2020!

Sincerely, To that end, from an operational and COO's perspective, the Board Policy Manual (BPM) is essential to Terra S.H. Waldron, CCM, CCE providing direction and guidance for the Club. The General Manager/COO BPM is a road map that: • provides a source for all ongoing Board policies; • facilitates orientation of new Board members to current policies; • provides transparency to members regarding Board operations; • ensures an efficient review of current policies when Welcome New Member considering new issues to prevent redundancy or conflict in existing policies; We would like to wish a warm GCC welcome to our • provides clear, proactive policies to guide the new Member! General Manager/COO and staff. I encourage all members to review the BPM on the website, under the "Governance" section of the "Board Thank you for choosing Greensboro Country Club! of Directors" page.

Your GCC staff is committed to providing exceptional programs and services to the GCC Membership. We have been planning for a terrific 2020 with new programs in Golf, Tennis, Fitness, Food and Beverage, and Administrative areas. Watch for details as we move into the new year! On an operational note, we have had many Members inquire about the procedures for lowering the flag at the front of the Clubhouse to half staff. Please know that in addition to noted days of memoriam, we receive notifications from the federal government
