COO/General Manager's Message

Dear Members,

As the holiday season draws near, we are delighted to share the exciting events happening at the Club. These occasions have been thoughtfully planned to help you celebrate in style.

Our Holiday Market will take place on Tuesday, November 12, offering the perfect opportunity to discover unique gifts and prepare for the festivities in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

For Thanksgiving, we invite you to enjoy a memorable buffet at both the Irving Park and the Farm campuses. For those who prefer to celebrate at home, we offer pre-order Thanksgiving meals, allowing you to enjoy the tradition without the stress of preparation. However you celebrate, we are honored to be part of your holiday.

On Saturday, December 7, Santa Claus will join us at Irving Park for our beloved Breakfast with Santa. In addition, Mrs. Claus will be with us for Brunch on Sunday, December 8, and we invite Members from the Farm to join in the celebration.

The holiday season wouldn’t be complete without our annual Holiday Gala on Saturday, December 14. This elegant event is a highlight on the Club calendar and a cherished tradition that brings Members together yearafter-year.

These are just a few of the exceptional events planned. We encourage you to stay informed by reading our weekly updates and visiting the Club’s website calendar for details on all upcoming activities.

We would also like to address recent feedback regarding staffing. We understand concerns about turnover in certain areas and acknowledge the challenges we face in hiring and retaining experienced staff. The competitive labor market affects many businesses, and while we often invest in training new employees, some leave for higherpaying opportunities elsewhere. This challenge extends beyond dining services; our Golf Course Superintendent, Doug Lowe, has experienced this with his team as well.

That said, we are proud of our dedicated team. More than 50% of our current staff have been with us for over a year, with over 60 employees serving the Club for five years or more, and 20 plus employees for over a decade. We also take great pride in honoring those who have served 20, 25, and even 35 years. Their loyalty is vital to our success.

To attract and retain top talent, Greensboro Country Club offers a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k), medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, vacation, and paid time off. We remain committed to supporting our team.

We deeply appreciate the feedback we receive from you, our valued Members. Your insights and suggestions help us continuously refine our offerings. Whether through surveys or direct communication, your input helps shape the Club experience. Please continue to share your thoughts by replying to any Club emails or completing our restaurant survey. Your feedback is crucial to enhancing our services.

As we approach this festive season, we extend our warmest wishes to you and your family for a joyful and peaceful holiday. We look forward to celebrating with you and making this season truly special.

With kind regards,
