Greensboro Country Club
March | April 2024
Dear Members,
As the warmth of spring embraces us, we eagerly anticipate the arrival of cherished traditions such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Brunch, and our much-anticipated Spring Carnival
A few Club updates: It is with great regret, that I must address the delay in the new carpet installation, previously announced for January We recently received unfortunate news regarding a machine breakdown at the carpet mill, resulting in the postponement of the new carpet delivery until March. Understandably, this news may be disappointing, and I am hesitant to announce a new date until we can confirm the arrival of the carpet. Your patience and understanding during this unforeseen circumstance are sincerely appreciated
Despite this setback, I am pleased to share some positive updates from our Club. We have successfully implemented the PlatinumClubNet, offering access for Members who enjoy traveling and experiencing other Platinum Clubs worldwide. This exclusive program is available only to members of Platinum Clubs.
Our commitment to enhancing your Club experience is reflected in the positive changes resulting from our Member Survey program, HappOmeter Daily Member feedback has led to the transformation of our Wine List and recent updates to the menus in 1909 and Family Grill Ongoing server training ensures excellence in service, menu knowledge and wine expertise. The surveys have been instrumental in addressing issues, improving services and making operational changes. Our Net Promoter Score measured 68 (Excellent) in January and saw an improvement to 73 in February Our goal is to consistently achieve a score of 75 (World Class) or higher, and your continued participation in the surveys is crucial as we strive for improvement
Embracing technological advancements, we are excited to announce upcoming upgrades to our Club's website and app. Collaborating with third-party
providers, we aim to make technology work seamlessly for our Members Imagine the convenience of ordering curbside pick-up through your app or enjoying food and drinks around the pool without leaving your comfy lounge chair It is our goal to make these possibilities (and more) a reality for you.
In another significant change, we revamped our hiring process in January Employees of Greensboro Country Club are now selected based on their natural talents and abilities. Every candidate undergoes an "assessment" to better understand their strengths. Our hope is to reduce turnover, and hire more qualified individuals with the right attitude, service-driven demeanor, work ethic, positivity and friendliness.
As we diligently prepare for the upcoming summer, our team is also working on an array of events for you to enjoy Your thoughts and ideas are valuable to us, so please feel free to contact me directly with any questions or suggestions you may have.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in making Greensboro Country Club an exceptional Club
Warm regards,
Friedrich Eder, CCM, CCE Chief Operating Officer/General ManagerMembership Message
