Tournament Results

Triple Crown

April 6, 2024

The Triple Crown Tournament follows a unique format, where teams of two players compete in three different formats across 18 holes. The first six holes are played in a Best Ball format, where both players play their own ball and the team takes the best score for each hole. The next six holes are played in Modified Alternate Shot format, where both players tee off, choose the best shot, and alternate shots until the ball is holed. The final six holes are played in a Shamble format, where both players tee off and choose the best drive. From there, both players play their own ball until the ball is holed.

The tournament was a great success, and we would like to thank all the participants who made it a memorable experience - it was a closely contested tournament! Congratulations to Net Champions, Charles Broadway and Cabell Poindexter, and to Gross Champions, Wes Bartlett and Russ Bell. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!

The Azalea

April 12, 2024

The Azalea One-Day Member-Guest was a sold-out show at Irving Park on Masters Friday! 100 members and guests were able to compete in a 2-of-4 best ball tournament on a blustery day. Earlier in the week, the Golf Staff was able to secure pink ‘Azalea’ hats from The Masters Merchandise Tent in Augusta, GA, which served as the prizes for the Closest to the Hole winners for each of the par 5s. Congratulations are in order for our Gross Winners: Jace Strandberg, Klein Evans, Chris Welte, & Darin McClure Net Winners and Overall Champions were Zach Truesdale, Christopher Moye, Jeff Boyan, & Joshua Rudock.
