Greensboro Country Club January | February 2025

COO/General Manager's Message (336) 275-8506

Dear Members, Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and that 2025 is off to a fantastic start. May this year be filled with joy, success and cherished memories for you and your family. First and foremost, on behalf of the entire staff, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your generous contributions to this year’s Holiday Fund. The funds were distributed in early December, ensuring a bright and festive season for our team and their families. This fund supports all of our employees, including those working diligently behind the scenes who may never interact directly with the Membership, but are essential to our success, as well as the front-of-house staff who serve you daily. Your kindness and support make a meaningful difference, and we appreciate it deeply.

January | February 2025

The Employee Holiday Party was held in early December, where we celebrated and recognized the dedication and contributions of our incredible team. This year, we honored 121 one-year service awards, 40 five-year service awards, 5 ten-year awards, 6 fifteen-year awards, 4 twenty-year awards, 1 twenty-five-year award, and 2 thirty-five-year service awards. We are immensely proud of our tenured employees and congratulate them on their remarkable achievements. Our team culture is built upon attracting top talent, fostering growth, and providing comprehensive training and development opportunities to empower each individual in achieving their personal and professional goals. As we reflect on 2024, I also would like to express my thanks for your valuable feedback and engagement, especially through our survey system (HappOmeter). Your input has been instrumental in helping us refine and enhance our programming. I am pleased to share that, with your support, we achieved an overall Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 72 for our restaurants this past year. To put this into perspective, industry benchmarks rate scores of 0–50 as Good, 50–75 as Excellent, and 75+ as World Class Service. Our goal for 2025 is to surpass a NPS of 75, aiming for continuous improvement and exceptional service delivery. As highlighted in Mr. Rankin’s recent letter to the Membership, achieving financial sustainability in our operations is vital. For the current fiscal year (October 1, 2024 - September 30, 2025), we are working with a break-even

Page 2

budget where membership dues and operating revenues are designed to cover all expenses. To maintain affordable pricing for everyday Club usage while achieving our financial goals, we rely on your continued support in welcoming new Members and maximizing our banquet revenues. In alignment with these goals, we increased the recently restructured Initiation Fee from $35,000 to $40,000, with plans for further incremental increases of $5,000 for every 25 new Members. On the capital side, we have several exciting and essential projects in progress to enhance our amenities. Our marquee project this year focuses on the Ballroom, ensuring it remains one of the most sought-after event spaces in the Triad. While some other updates—like water pumps and air handler replacements—may not be as visible, they are crucial to maintaining our infrastructure and delivering the high-quality experience you expect. As we embark on this new year, we are dedicated to elevating your Club experience, expanding our offerings, and delivering exceptional value to our Membership. The future is bright, and we look forward to welcoming you to Greensboro Country Club—your home away from home— throughout 2025. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead! Warm regards, Friedrich Eder, CCM, CCE Chief Operating Officer/General Manager

Q: How long have you been coming to the Fitness Center? A: I honestly can't remember. It's been as long as we've been members here. I will say we've been here through all three iterations of the Fitness Center. Q: How do you keep yourself motivated? A: For me it's just a commitment to my health, my ability to try and keep up with the young people, stress relief, and just seeing the community here and the smiling faces on a daily basis. Q: What is your biggest obstacle to overcome when preparing to workout? A: Honestly there isn't one. I love coming here and I make it a priority of my day to be here.

Q: What are some of your favorite exercises? A: I've really been including a lot of bands, kettle bells, stretching, cardio, endurance and full body weight lifting - but no heavy lifting. With my cardio, I stay away from running and focus more on the stair master to help save my joints from that impact. Q: What kind of music is on your workout play list? A: Honestly, anything that will keep me motivated. I typically like to keep my headphones off so that I can interact with the people here but there are some occasions where I need that extra motivation or focus and in those cases I just need it to be something that is upbeat.
