Dear Members, Thank goodness the COVID-19 challenges are fading in so many areas! Businesses are opening and Executive Orders are changing, but some restrictions continue to create a true supply chain issue with the Club in general. For instance, during the pandemic, we changed to the individual packets of ketchup from using bottles in the restaurants. Additionally, we use them in to go orders. These tiny little packets used to be $.07 each, then they elevated to $.09, and then up to a hefty $.33 for just one packet.

As we continue to offer more services, and open up to accommodate more activities, we hope you will support your Club during our renovation. To add to the supply chain issues and delivery delays, numerous cargo ships caring containers of products (many of which were golf-related apparel) have toppled over and been lost at sea. I am proud we have such a creative team to respond to these challenges, and to be able to adapt so Member services do not diminish. New competencies and thought processes have kept GCC providing Member services and amenities without much mishap. We will continue to be diligent and dedicated in our

Men’s Wednesday Night League
Calling all GCC men together for our fun-filled Wednesday Night Men’s League! This is your chance to sign up early for the GCC Men’s Night League. Registration begins August 23rd . This season each individual will accumulate points to win prizes that will be presented at our famous end-of-the-season beer and sandwich party. All rules and information will be outlined in the September newsletter. The league will start on Wednesday, September 15th. Don’t forget to sign up early with the Tennis Pro Shop. Welcome, Nate Palmer Greensboro Country Club is proud to announce our new Tennis Professional, Nate Palmer. Nate comes to GCC from Buffalo, New York where he worked at the Miller Tennis Center. He was responsible for developing the junior program from ages 4-18 beginners to coaching the junior academy. Nate was also fully responsible of teaching the ladies teams.
Upcoming Events Summer Tennis & Pickleball Family Social July 22nd
Prior to the Miller Tennis Center, Nate worked at the Village Glen Tennis Club in New York, teaching both adults and juniors. Nate’s playing career was developed through his junior background with a top 50 ranking in the Eastern Section. His college career landed him at the top ranked Abraham College, where he played #3 when the team finished ranked third in the nation. He was also four-time single champion in the section.

This is an event for everyone, even if you don’t have children, come out and enjoy a fun night of activities, food and drinks. Adult tennis and pickleball will be organized by our tennis staff. There will be a hamburger and hotdog station along with adult & children beverages.

Message from Tyler What a great start at Greensboro Country Club! I am so excited to be here as the Director of Golf, and want to thank all of the members who have made my first weeks at GCC so comfortable. I would also like to thank the entire golf professional staff here at the Club. They worked tirelessly through the busiest time of the year before I arrived, and the whole team should be recognized for their hard work during this transition. My wife, daughter and I are settling into Greensboro, and we are excited to call it home for our family. For those of you I have not yet met, I'll look forward to seeing you around the Club soon!

Congratulations, Gordon Johnson! What an amazing story and an almost unbelievable golf feat! The odds are 67 million to 1 on a player making two holes in one during the same round of golf. GCC's own outside service staff member, Gordon Johnson, accomplished this feat on Wednesday, May 26th at Bryan Park - Players Course. Gordon Aced the 3rd hole using a 9 iron and Aced the 17th hole using a 5 iron. Way to go, Gordon!
