Junior Outdoor Badge Day  

Calling all Juniors! Join us at Camp Ken-Jockety for a day-long badge earning event where you’ll earn the Animal Habitats and Eco Camper badges and be just one step away from earning your Camper Badge! This will bring you very close to completing your Outdoor Journey requirements. You’ll learn how to plan your camping trip and essential camping skills like how to start a fire, Leave No Trace Principles, and outdoor cooking basics. You’ll even get to cook your own lunch and a snack outside! Participants will leave this program with all three badges they earned. Lunch and a snack will be provided.

Mind Your Medicine 

Juniors and Cadettes will join our student partners from the OSU College of Pharmacy to learn about how pharmacists handle, compound, and measure medicines! ROX Strong and Worth Defending

In this signature Ruling Our eXperiences (ROX) safety and selfdefense workshop, ROX staff will teach girls critical and evidencebased verbal and physical skills that can be used in high-pressure or threatening situations. In this interactive workshop, Girl Scouts will learn statistics and common myths around harassment and violence along with tools and resources to increase communication and support in potentially difficult situations. Through this powerful and supportive all female experience, Girl Scouts will discover their strength, courage, and value. This workshop will be held outdoors in Columbus, Ohio weather permitting.

Join Stargazers Casey and Tak for a fun overnight to earn the Space Science Investigator Badge. Learn about the size of the galaxy we live in and how to use a star wheel to find constellations by the seasons. Some of those constellations have amazing stories to tell. Come and see! Engineer for a Day with NiSource

Our partners at NiScouce are excited to introduce your Girl Scout to the engineering field. At this program, Girl Scouts will start the day with breakfast to fuel their minds before digging into a hands-on engineering challenge where they’ll work as a team to solve a problem presented by real engineers. Everyone will move on to explore different stations showing demonstrations and exploring other parts of engineering. To end the program, everyone will enjoy lunch, an engineering challenge awards ceremony, and then hear from a panel of women engineers. Girl Scouts will receive their STEM Career Exploration Badge.

Agent of Change Virtual Journey 

Throughout five online sessions, you’ll dive into the Agent of Change Journey. During this journey, you will discover the special talents of yourself and other Girl Scouts, and learn how to use those powers to make your community a better place. Participants will complete activities on their own before each session. At the end of the five sessions, Girl Scouts will be ready to implement their Take Action Projects. This program is a great option for Juniors who need to complete a journey before starting their Girl Scout Bronze Award.

Social Butterfly with CoMo Dance

Do you know how to be a polite attendee at a professional performance and reception? Spend time at the theater with the Columbus Modern Dance Company. The workshop will begin with etiquette lessons and crafts. After a one-hour break, you’ll put your skills to the test at a special matinee performance of modern dance. Semi-formal attire should be worn. Adult supervision is required. Adults must register and pay the program fee. Attendees will complete the steps towards earning the Social Butterfly badge, which can be purchased at your local GSOH shop.

Badge Day at the ZMA: Fun with Painting!  

Bring out your inner artist as you discover a wide range of paintings at the Zanesville Museum of Art. Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts are invited to explore the ZMA galleries, create several exciting painting projects with a variety of different paints, and complete steps to earn badges. Activities fulfill several requirements for the Girl Scouts Brownie Painting Badge and the Boy Scouts Art Merit Badge. The activities are based on the Brownie Painting badge, but all ages are welcome.

Stargazers Overnight  

This experience inspires the next generation of astronomers. Girl Scouts will develop an understanding of the different constellations while learning about how a telescope works at the Armstrong Air and Space Museum in Wapakoneta, OH. Then they will cap off the evening with a sky view using the museum telescopes and binoculars (weather permitting).

The Bronze Award

Did you know you can make a BIG impact on your local community by earning a Bronze Award with your troop?

Troop 9305 of Adams County did some research after visiting their local animal shelter and figured out that the cats there needed more enrichment and physical activity. They worked together to create a special “catio” outdoor play space for the cats there, so they were able to get their energy out in a safe way outside.
