The original idea was simple. Create a hugely entertaining function party band that performs classic party music and is ultimately a lot of fun. 15 years after first conception and The Talent has the same core team of seasoned professionals, developed an unrivalled sound, performed with some of the biggest names in the music business and fundamentally still have an absolute love for what they do.

Who are The Talent?... The Talent is no ordinary party band. They have an energy on stage second to none, an ever increasing repertoire (500 songs and growing), five amazing lead vocalists and the bands focus on entertaining make for a live performance of truly world class proportions. Songsheets are distributed by the band upon arrival at the venue and names of the budding stars are collected along with the song choice ready for the performance of their lives. Your Bandeoke Band will compere and introduce each singer to the stage leaving you to work on your vocal performance and usually start the night off with a short set to warm up the crowd before getting the guests up to sing and show what they can do. Frequently asked questions... WHY SHOULD WE USE MONITOR MUSIC? Monitor Music Ltd is a professionally managed agency offering years of experience within the music industry. From the very beginning of your planning we understand how important it is that the artists we supply are of the highest quality. We have a large roster of top quality artists from soloists to 12 piece bands, female/male vocalists, string quartets and DJs. Extra mood lighting and accessories (starcloths and dancefloors) can be expertly added to your entertainment package if you wish. You will be allocated your own personal assistant so no matter where you are with your booking you will receive a high level of customer care with prompt, expert and impartial advice.

DO THE ARTISTS HAVE THEIR OWN PA EQUIPMENT AND LIGHTING? All of our artists supply their own PA equipment and lighting (subject to limitations set by venue) which gives you added peace of mind to know that the artists are familiar with their own sound and everything will run smoothly on the night. Most importantly there is no extra charge for the artists to use their own equipment. We would advise you to check with the venue to ensure they are happy with our artists using their own PA and lighting equipment. Additional lighting, to add mood and atmosphere can be hired from www.monitorlighting.co.uk.

CAN WE SEE THE ARTIST PERFORM LIVE BEFORE WE BOOK THEM? This is very difficult to answer as the majority of the artists on our roster are professional function bands and therefore do not perform at many public events. It may however be possible for you to attend a private function but this is at the discretion of the client. The demo CD/DVD included with this pack shows our artists performing live so you are able to listen to the sound as if you were there.

HOW LONG WILL THE ARTIST PERFORM FOR? Most of our artists, especially at functions, will perform 3 x 45 minute sets. This is dependent on the start and finish times. When you contact us we’ll always discuss the best options for your event.

HOW LONG DO THE ARTISTS TAKE TO SET UP THEIR EQUIPMENT? The majority of our artists will need between 45 minutes and one hour to set up their equipment and sound check ready for the performance. Larger bands may need up to one and a half to two hours depending on the size etc. We will always discuss with you arrangements for the artist to set up in order to create as little disruption to your day as possible. We are more than happy to liaise with your venue on your behalf and you can safely leave the arrangements to us – we’ve had lots of experience!

WILL I BE ABLE TO REQUEST A CERTAIN SONG FOR THE ARTIST TO PERFORM?

STILL GOT QUESTIONS?

The answer is YES. All of our artists are more than happy to learn a song for you. Please give us at least one months notice so that the artists can familiarise themselves with it.

CAN I CHOOSE ALL THE SONGS I WANT PLAYED FROM THE REPERTOIRE LIST? You will see our repertoire lists and we ask you to pick the type of songs you like and let us know of any songs that you definitely do not wish to be played. This allows the artists to perform the type of songs you like. The artists know which songs will get the crowd up and more importantly keep the crowd dancing all night long so we do not ask you to select every song for performance. Once they know your likes and dislikes, there is nothing else for you to worry about.

HOW DO I BOOK A BAND/ARTIST/DJ OR LIGHTING? Please contact us either by phone or email with the date of your function and the artist(s) you would like to book. The final balance payable is due two weeks before the day/night of the function. Please note, no reminder will be sent for this and it is your responsibility to ensure payment is made.

WILL THERE BE ANY A DDITIONAL COSTS? All costs will be outlined within the contract and no hidden charges will be sprung upon you at the last minute. When we are quoting for the artist we will take into consideration how far they will need to travel etc. If you require an early set up i.e. if you would like the artist set before an afternoon meal, there will be a small charge. If you require the artist to perform after midnight there would also be a small additional charge – but this can all be agreed at the time of booking.

BLACK & WHITE CHEQUERBOARD DANCEFLOOR If youâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;re looking for an elegant dance floor to complete your event, then one of our black and white chequerboard dance floors could be exactly what you require. LED (FUNKY) DISCO DANCE FLOOR

Our Retro Floor is a traditional 70s style floor with red, yellow, blue and green illuminated, flashing squares. The squares can flash in any pattern and in time to the music if you wish. It can be set up virtually in any covered space including ballrooms, marquees and houses. Our illuminated floor panels come in 1m square sections and can be arranged in square and rectangle shapes. LED Uplighters are the most popular form of lighting for marquees and halls and are generally placed floor standing every 3 metres around the sides of the venue to highlight decorations and alcoves or simply wash the walls and ceilings with ambient light.
