Word from Editor Welcome Back! December has been a pretty slow and not too eventful month for Green Valley Key Club. So, we have some members usually stay after school to make no-sew blankets. Always making sure we keep the service going. Overall, this month has been huge for most of our members because of the upcoming exams, but it was all good. Until Next Month <3 Sincerely, Angel Mascarenas 2019-2020

Word from President December has been good my term is coming close to an end and I’m pretty sad. But I’m hoping to end my term strong for the club. We are getting ready for club election which is on January 21. I’m excited to see what January has to bring Sincerely, Sarah Pelle 2019-2020

End of Semester Potluck When:

Friday, December 20, 2019 2:15-4:00

Where: What:

Green Valley High School RM.311

The End of the Year Potluck is one of the events

that our club hosts for our members almost every annually. It is a great way to send off our members for their Winter Break, and helps us all bond more as a club. There was a period where we had members eat and socialize feely. Then, after they were finished eating, everyone worked on no-sew blankets. It is an easy project for our members to complete, so everyone can still socialize and have a fun time. Actually, many members stayed after the set time to continue working, which is always encouraged.

December DCM When: December 11, 2019 from 5-6pm Where: Green Valley High School What: The DCM this month is one many of our members attend each month to be informed about what other key club’s in the division are working on. This is also an amazing way for our members to meet other key clubbers from different schools. Of course, to make things more lively, we had the ice breaker be gingerbread house decorating!

This was an extremely fun event, because while we were working, members could watch all the floats, cheerleaders, bands, etc! Our members helped everyone clean up their areas by gathering all the equipment and handing candy out to the onlookers.
