Bulletin Editor Hi Gators, As November begins to wrap up and December comes closer, Green Valley Key Club is still working hard to build their home, school, and community. This month we have implemented new service projects to our club to insure that we do just that. Even though each member is focused on the upcoming break, our club is still very active to make sure that everyone has a happy holidays. Happy Holidays, Nick Phillips Bulletin Editor

Fall Rally South 610

Fall Ral l “Fall Rally was absolutely unforgettable. Even though we had to get up super early it was 183938% worth it! I was upset that only 4 GV kids were able to represent but it just made it possible to meet so many new people. I loved the actual Rally and the budding but I would have to say my favorite part was afterwards when we were just walking around and getting on rides when we would just pass other regions and ask how they felt because it was hilarious to see their remixes and show them ours. All these different rallies and conferences only strengthen my love for key club and get me more excited for what's to come. :) -Brooklyn Darmody, 11

November DCM 10 10

November “The DCM took place at Basic on, November 16. It was an great experience to see all the schools to come into one place. I was able to get inspiration from representors of other Key Clubs. From activities to do with the club to great fundraisers and events. The highlight of the event was that one of Green Valley Key Club officers, Jennele Nguyen, won officer of the month. -Thao Huynh, 10

DCM

"The November DCM was held at Basic High School. At this DCM, we listened to the other 8 high schools' presidents that who attended this event talk about the things they have done in the past month. From that, I and the others officers were able to find new ideas and events to install into our club to improve it. After the president's report, Jasmine, Division 28 South LTG, assigned new buddy schools for each club and gave a speech which encompassed her term so far. Then, Jasmine announced the recognitions for this month and I was ecstatic to hear that our own Jennele Nguyen was named officer of the month." -Nick Phillips, 12

Kiwanis “The Kiwanis DCM was held at Las Vegas PBS. In this event the officers got to spend time together and learn how Kiwanis is run. We also got to learn more about Baby’s Bounty and help to put the donations away to be delivered. There was a bubble gum competition with the whole Kiwanis and in the final round it was Mrs. Santee verses Jennele and Mackienzy, which Mrs. Santee won. At the end of the meeting the a raffle was held up at the end.” -Thao Huynh, 10

16

DCM

"This was my first Kiwanis held event that I have attend within my two years of Key Club. It was an interesting experience and I was able to learn more about the K Family. At the DCM, we helped bring all the donations to Baby's Bounty, a Green Valley Kiwanis Service Project, as well as help clean up afterwards, because our rides didn't come until an hour later. During the DCM, there was a competition between the Kiwanis and Key Club member to see who could blow the biggest bubble, and our own advisor, Mrs. Santee had won the competition. We also help run the raffle that the Kiwanis held after the DCM" -Nick Phillips, 12

Nate Mack Parents’ Night Out 18 10

Nate Mack’s Par “I had so much fun doing this. Any chance I have to work with kids, I know I'm going to have a fun time, and this was no exception. I had a blast playing laser tag and eating pizza (Napoil's not Little Caesars they had the good stuff). We played Flashlight Tag and my team was called Team Guacamole and we kicked so much butt (I think). At the end, we watched Finding Dory and it was so lit because kids are sweet and it was for a good cause. Team Guac all the way!” -Brooklyn Darmody,11

“At Nate Mack Elementary members were babysitting kids, while parents had the night out to go do Christmas shopping. Members taught little kids how to make ornaments and coloring cards for their families. A game of flashlight tag was also held during the event where kids were chosen by a member to be part of their time. The Key Club members were also treated to free pizza and popcorn for their efforts. At the end of the night everyone gathered in the auditorium to watch the movie Finding Dory.” -Thao Huynh, 10

ents’ Night Out “December 9, 2016 key club volunteered at Nate Mack's parents night out. Key club volunteers watched elementary children while their parents were allowed a night out. All of the proceeds went to a 5th grade boy at Nate Mack who has recently been diagnosed with Leukemia. The children did arts and crafts, ate pizza, played flashlight tag and ended the night cuddled in sleeping bags watching finding dory. All of the little ones had a wonderful night of festivities.” -Amber Stringari, 12

President’ “So far this month as been a great one. We were able to participate in many school and community events, including gator-give and a donation to our Kiwanis to help support a family in need. We also participated in baby’s bounty. Hopefully can implement more new activities throughout the year that were just as fun and rewarding as this month’s were.”
