Hello Gators! Summer has been great but to be honest, it does get somewhat boring without having anything to do. I am itching to go back to school to see my friends and key club, but I could live without the work!

Board Meeting June 19 Blaze Pizza 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
On June 19th, everyone who was available on board went to Blaze Pizza to discuss upcoming events and future fundraisers. All board members except for the vice president attended. It was great fun to see them again and we were very productive talking about what we were already planning to do and what needed to be done. -Ly Huynh Editor
It was my first time to go to a Kiwanis meeting and I had a great time. I got to see what their meetings were like and different types of subjects they talk about. I was glad that I got to participate in this meeting. I also got to speak for our school’s club. It was a fun event to experience as an officer.

ICON July 4 — July 10 Chicago, IL
ICON July 4 — July 10 Chicago, IL
From July 4-10, 2018 I attended International Convention with the CNH District in Chicago, Illinois. This was an amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone in the future. First arriving I immediately saw how diverse Key Club International is, from the Bahamas and Jamaican Districts to Canada and Taiwanese Districts, I could see how international we really are. I loved making new friends within our district with the California and Hawaii Lieutenant Governors and District Chairs. I voted for the new International Board of Key Club, judged the KCI talent show, and volunteered at provided workshops. The touring portion of the trip consisted of a riverboat tour, eating at the famous restaurants downtown, saw and took pictures at the bean, the aquarium, planetarium, and museum. This experience was like no other, I love Key Club! Hector Ballez Division Service Chair

nt’s Since not many people attend ICON from region 5, I’m happy to say there was one person that attended from our club! I hope many of our members did service over the summer and knocked out some hours! I’m excited to get back on the grind next month! (: - Jennele Nguyen President
