Among Us Night (Saturday, December 5 @ 3pm-4pm)

This December, Our Key Club decided to do another Among Us Night with our members. It was a fun night for our members to socialize and interact with each other before the festive holidays begin and we’re out of school. As some managed to become good impostors in the game, there’s others who are still learning how to keep their impostor identities a secret from the other players. This is what our Key Club members had to say about their experience in the Among Us Night. “Among Us Night was great, I got to socialize with people and I even got to be an imposter in the game. It was funny because it was easy for the members to tell I was the impostor. I couldn’t help but laugh!” - Julian Espinoza

“We all had a Google Meet where we all got on this very fun game called Among Us. It was a really good way to get to know my fellow Key Club Members.” - Ariyon Comer

DCM Meeting (Wednesday, December 9 @ 5pm - 6pm)

During This month’s DCM, Our LTG talked about the Division Contests our club will be having, and the raffle winners for our Division’s committee. These 3 people who’ve won the raffle are Rayyan Utama, Justin Abenoja and Xue Pingjian. They may not be from Green Valley Key Club, but we want to congratulate them for winning the raffle! Other than that, Out LTG has given us one of her final DCM advice about being a better version of yourself, as her term is coming to an end. So congratulations to our LTG, Lorelei Casillian for making the best of our 2020-2021 Key Club term and giving our members the strength needed to thrive through 2020.

Opportunity Village Cards Live Session (Saturday, December 12 @ 2:30pm - 3:30pm)

Opportunity Village Cards Live Session was a good opportunity for our members to write holiday wishes to the people in Opportunity Village, and to increase our member’s service hours. Like the Cards for TLC and St. Rose Hospital, we got to write messages of positivity for the people receiving the cards to lighten up their day. This was also a nice session for our members to get creative on the covers of each card! Here’s a couple of cards that our members made throughout the participation of Opportunity Village Live Session.

Throughout this month of December, our GV Key Club Vice President, Isabelle Jones has created a chalk art drawing. A wonderful way to serve her neighbors with jolly throughout the Holiday seasons. Check out her artwork!.

December was a pretty “chill month for us! We had an Among Us Night to keep our members connected before winter break. Opportunity Village Card Live Session was one of our service events this month. We tried to keep events as minimal as we could this month, because it was finals and everyone was preparing/cramming! Thank you for reading the newsletter! See ya next month <3 Angel Mascarenas 2020-2021

Welcome Back to the Gator Gazette! This December was a fun yet relaxing month to complete some service hours with one live session event on making cards for the people in Opportunity Village. We also had our DCM Meeting before it is time for the new LTGs and other leaders of our district to be elected in the following month that comes. It was nice to hear about the raffle winners for our Division’s Committee, and hear some life advice from our LTG once more before winter break comes along. Other than that, our activities were quite short so we can spend the holidays at home with our families and loved ones. I can’t wait to see what events January has for us, and we’ll see you next time on The Gator Gazette!
