Welcome The 2024 Honeoye Falls-Mendon Business Directory is sponsored by the Honeoye Falls-Mendon Rotary Club.
As Club President, I would like to let you know a little bit about who we are and what we do.
Rotarians live by a simple philosophy: Service Above Self. We are a group of people having fun serving our community and the world. Rotary is the largest and oldest service organization on the planet, encompassing 1.4 million members in 46,000+ clubs throughout approximately 220 countries worldwide. Rotary has no political or religious affiliations. The basic principles of Rotary are listed on page 41 of this directory, and you can find the Causes of Rotary International on page 40. We are your neighbors and your friends. The work we do can be seen throughout the community. We built the pavilion in Rotary Park. We refurbished the Mendon Community Playground. We pick up litter each April for Earth Day. Every December, we deliver Christmas trees to families in need, and we sponsor a free Breakfast with Santa at Flaherty’s, where we also collect items for the Honeoye Falls Food Cupboard. This is but a sample of the projects we do locally. We help propel a multitude of community endeavors, both large and small, and our work is ongoing. Additionally, we administer several programs involving youth in the community. HF-M Rotary is the Chartered Organization for BSA Troops 10 and 410 and Cub Scouts Pack 10. We also manage HF-L High School’s Interact Club, where students develop leadership skills and learn the value of serving others. Each June, we present a $500 scholarship to an exemplary Interact member. We invite you to join us in making our community and world a better place. We know that everyone has busy lives and varying levels of availability, so our Club doesn’t have attendance requirements for membership. Even incremental efforts can make a significant difference when working as part of a team! We meet for dinner most Wednesdays at 6:15 pm at Flaherty’s, or at Rotary Park during fair weather. Stop by and see for yourself what we’re all about. You can also learn more on the Rotary International website (rotary.org), our Club website (hfmrotary.org), or Club Facebook page (facebook.com/ HoneoyeFallsMendonRotaryClub). Thank you.

Bodywork Kneaded UNLOCKING WELLNESS
In the historic Italianate style brick building at the four corners in the heart of Honeoye Falls, stands Bodywork Kneaded—a beacon of rejuvenation and healing. Owned and operated by Pamela Scully, LMT, this wellness haven boasts over two decades of massage therapy expertise. From the moment you step through the doors, the warm ambiance and commitment to individualized care sets Bodywork Kneaded apart and ensures your healing journey will be successful. Pam Scully’s journey into the world of massage therapy is as unique as the personalized care she provides. Growing up in Greece, NY, Pam discovered her natural inclination for aiding others during her early involvement in organized sports. When she battled migraines in her 20s and a chiropractor suggested she get a massage before an adjustment, Pam realized her natural passion could become her career. Pam’s dedication to sports and therapeutic massage laid the foundation for Bodywork Kneaded. Pam earned her degree from the New York Institute of Massage in Buffalo in 2001. Established in Honeoye Falls in 2007, Pam initially rented space at Honeoye Falls Family Chiropractic. After
five years, she transitioned to her current location, a move that not only expanded her massage practice but also tossed her into the real estate world, as landlord of the businesses and residences in the building. In 2016, Pam fully immersed herself in the community she had grown to love, selling her house in Pittsford and moving above the businesses. Bodywork Kneaded offers integrated massage therapy, incorporating a range of techniques, including Deep Tissue massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Swedish massage, Sports therapy, and Passive Stretching. Pam’s personalized approach adapts to each client’s individual needs and history of ailments, injuries, and medications. Pam works with a wide range of clients, from high school and professional athletes to everyday people of all ages. For Pam, inspiration and passion for her practice lies in the profound impact massage therapy has on people’s lives. She says, “I enjoy helping people. It’s distressing to see people in pain, but it’s encouraging to know I helped them get to a functioning level and help them alleviate pain. It’s also pretty amazing to help athletes reach higher levels of performance.” Beyond the treatment room, Pam actively contributes to the local community. She donates her services each year to the Rotary’s annual Casino Night, baskets and raffle items to charitable events across the community and supports many youth programs and activities. Pam and Bodywork Kneaded stepped up notably during the pandemic, donating space and time to a startup company, as well as HFL Grassroots, a temporary food cupboard to help tide community members over during the shutdown. Bodywork Kneaded exemplifies a business deeply rooted in community support. As Bodywork Kneaded continues to thrive as a massage therapy practice, Pam proudly shares news of fellow business members, quickly talking up the new Bleak House Books that opened this past year. Together, the community booms. Bodywork Kneaded, with Pam Scully at the helm, is a community fixture in Honeoye Falls. With a drive to heal and a heart for the community, Pam and Bodywork Kneaded stand as pillars of wellness in Honeoye Falls. Pam says, “This is what I was meant to do,” and her passion for healing resonates in every massage session at Bodywork Kneaded. For a rejuvenating and healing experience tailored to your unique needs, contact Bodywork Kneaded at 585-802-2405 or visit bodyworkkneaded.com.

Welcome to the Village of Honeoye Falls & Town of Mendon!
As a local resident for almost 50 years, it’s so very easy to talk and write about the wonderful community we call home. Honeoye Falls has many things to boast about; among those is our incredible school district, truly one of the best in the State of New York and rivals those across the country. We have many wonderful places to worship that are welcoming and open to visitors and new neighbors. Honeoye Falls has a growing business community which can generally field all your immediate needs. The Honeoye Falls Market Place grocery store compares well to the best around and is located in the same plaza as other fantastic businesses including Ace/True Value Hardware, Colonial Liquor, a pizza shoppe and a great auto parts store. Businesses in our community provide services such as car sales, car repairs, intricate computer or phone/accessory repairs/data retrieval, legal services, real estate, insurance, engineering support, banking support, physical therapy and much more. There’s also an incredible bookstore, a gift shop, and local goods such as specialty desserts and syrups. While we’re a small village of around 2,700 residents, we have all the necessities with much more coming. Welcome to the Village of Honeoye Falls – Come for The Charm / Stay for the Experience!

Downtown Honeoye Falls
Mendon Ponds Park The quaint village of Honeoye Falls and its surrounding town of Mendon, NY are home to beautiful parks and sites of interest. Mendon Ponds Park is the largest park in Monroe County, with over 2,500 acres of land to explore. Named a National Natural Landmark in 1967, this is the perfect park to hike, cross-country ski, explore a natural
timber playground (northern end of the Quaker Pond Trail loop off Pond Rd.), and more! Feed the chickadees on Birdsong Trail by Wild Wings, and check out Sharon’s Sensory Garden, a unique sensory garden for individuals with physical and visual disabilities.
Sharon’s Sensory Garden In the village of Honeoye Falls lies the Vest Pocket Park, home of the famous Honeoye Falls Totem Pole, and often hosts photo shoots along Honeoye Creek. Follow the creek south to Harry Allen Park to visit the one-room schoolhouse and the Honeoye Falls Mendon Historical Museum, let the kids play on the playground, and hike the creekside Zebulon Norton Trail. Weddings, festivals, and a wide array of community events grace the gazebo and the ‘green’ at this quaint park throughout the year. Follow the Zebulon Norton Trail across Main St. to Rotary Park, with its pavilion, soccer fields, and an awesome playground with a massive climbing “rock” in addition to the typical fare the entire family will enjoy!
North of the village runs the level-terrain Lehigh Valley Trail, perfect for a long walk or bike ride with family and pets. Enjoy scenic views of Honeoye Creek while spotting wildlife you won’t see in the more populated areas of Rochester.
Harry Allen Park Honeoye Falls is home to favorite annual traditions such as the Memorial Day Parade through HF, paying tribute to the fallen as we celebrate the organizations that make Honeoye Falls what it is today. Saturday of carnival weekend brings the everpopular Fireman’s Parade, with representatives from fire departments and marching bands far and wide. Family / Youth Fun AROUND HONEOYE FALLS-MENDON
The Village of Honeoye Falls and the Town of Mendon may be small by some measures, but they have ample opportunities for fun for families and kids of all ages. Besides the myriad parks and green spaces that make HFM a beautiful place to live, we have unique spaces and groups specifically focused on our youth.
Mendon Splash Pad and Military Memorial at Semmel Road Park 141 Semmel Road, Honeoye Falls
Harry Allen Park Playground
Following the January 2021 crash of the Army National Guard helicopter that took the lives of three local soldiers, including Chief Warrant Officer 4 Christian Koch of Honeoye Falls, the town of Mendon installed a permanent military memorial and splash park to benefit the community at Semmel Road Park.
Behind the gazebo on the green, between the First Presbyterian Church and the Zebulon Norton trail along Honeoye Creek, Harry Allen Park has an amazing playground that has become a local favorite for children of all ages. Climbing structures, a half dozen swings, and a nice half basketball court, and the surrounding green space beckon for hours of fun.
The Military Memorial offers families and individuals a space for somber reflection to memorialize the soldiers’ lives, service, sacrifice, and mission, and the splash park brings to life the families’ wishes for a place for people of all ages to gather and learn about the men while treasuring life. Koch’s wife, Teressa DaGama, said “Christian would love a splash park and would have taken the kids there often.” townofmendon.org/community/splash-park/

owning three locations. The Salvatore’s Pizza Family loves turning jobs into careers!
Salvatore’s Old-Fashioned Pizzeria When one thinks of pizza in Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, and Wayne Counties, Salvatore’s Pizzeria usually comes to mind. Salvatore’s started as a high school project in 1978 by Salvatore “Soccer Sam” Fantauzzo. Today, Salvatore’s has over thirty locations in the Western New York / Rochester area and will soon expand into Florida and the Carolinas. Although all thirty locations are connected by a similar “look,” menu, and philosophy, individual shops feature a strong local feel and presence. Each Salvatore’s location is owned and operated by a local family. The Honeoye Falls location is operated by Mike Perrotta, who also owns the Fairport and Victor locations. Mike has been with the Salvatore’s Pizzeria family for twenty-two years, starting as a delivery driver, and now self-employed,
The HF-L location has been serving the village since 2009, managed by Zach Wilson. Wilson notes that two of the best things about working at Salvatore’s are leading the work crew and providing customers with such a highly appreciated product in a friendly, hometown manner. Local business is extensive, he says. For example, Salvatore’s in Honeoye Falls each week prepares onehundred pizzas for the HF-L School District as part of the school lunch program. The pizzeria is open seven days a week. Wilson says that Friday is the busiest day of the workweek, probably because fewer working people and families like to cook on Friday nights. Also, while one might guess Super Bowl Sunday is the biggest day of the year for selling pizzas, Wilson says that title belongs to Halloween, when pizza sales soar! While the shop prepares and sells the typical variety of pizzas such as plain cheese, pepperoni, meat lover’s, vegan, veggies, etc., among the more unusual types of pizza customers enjoy are the shop’s “Bozza Ravioli Pie” pizzas. Besides outstanding pizzas, other top sellers are their subs and calzones. The Honeoye Falls Salvatore’s shop is located at 31 West Main Street in Honeoye Falls, phone number 585582-2525. The shop has a small dining-in area as well. Customers can come in and visit Salvatore’s for lunch or dinner or to use the full menu takeout or delivery at salvatores.com/locations/honeoyefalls.

Come hang out.
20 Deep Winery Nestled just south of the charming hamlet of Mendon lies 20 Deep, “a winery for the local community by the local community.” Founded by David Gascon and Matthew Cassavaugh in 2018, 20 Deep has become a thriving hub for wine enthusiasts and those seeking a welcoming community atmosphere. Gascon, Founder & CEO of 20 Deep Winery, is no stranger to winemaking. Despite starting his career in economics, Gascon embraced his father’s winemaking legacy and pursued FLCC’s viticulture program, where he met and partnered with Cassavaugh, now the Head Winemaker at 20 Deep. Together, they planted the seeds of what would become a flourishing vineyard. The story of 20 Deep is a tale of dedication, craftsmanship, and community. With a 15-acre vineyard, yielding up to 3,650 cases, the winery has become a family affair. Gascon says even his children help with grapevine care and tasting room activities, blending learning about farming, agriculture, and business ownership with the joy of spending time with family and friends. At the core of 20 Deep’s philosophy is a commitment to excellence. Gascon emphasizes their refusal to take shortcuts, noting the extra time invested in the vineyards results in exceptional wines and positive experiences for all. One of the winery’s features is the Gamay Noir grape, perfectly suited to the Mendon region, offering a unique and rare taste experience. Beyond the bottles, 20 Deep Winery is a vibrant community space. Locals have embraced the winery, finding it the perfect venue for small gatherings and parties. The winery partners with the Mendon Library to offer community educational programs. They also host fundraising events for local causes, showcasing their natural commitment to community.

ACES Energy Pioneers in Geothermal Excellence
In the heart of Honeoye Falls, ACES Energy, a trailblazer in the world of renewable energy, invites you to discover the transformative power of geothermal heating and cooling systems. Geothermal technology unlocks the potential for a sustainable and efficient heating and cooling solution. Unlike traditional methods relying on fossil fuels, geothermal heat pumps utilize the earth’s constant temperatures underground to exchange heat. Shielded from extreme outdoor weather conditions, these systems outperform their counterparts, ensuring optimal performance even in the harsh winters of Western New York. Geothermal systems are not just a luxury; they are becoming a necessity, providing a reliable alternative to combat rising fossil fuel costs for heating. Established in 2009 by Andrew Heiligman in a rented space in Honeoye, ACES Energy moved to its permanent home in Honeoye Falls in 2013, where the business has developed as a staple in the renewable energy landscape. Heiligman, with a background in mechanical engineering and an MBA, envisioned creating a local hub for renewable energy solutions, making geothermal accessible to both residential homeowners and small businesses. What sets ACES Energy apart is their commitment to making geothermal accessible to all. The team recognizes challenges faced by rural homeowners without natural gas and strives to offer a solution. With a focus on upgrading heating systems, saving money, and creating a sustainable future, ACES Energy guides homeowners through available resources, making geothermal an achievable reality. For the ACES Energy team, the joy lies in transforming old and unique houses or complex commercial spaces. Each application presents a unique challenge, requiring creative solutions to find the most efficient way to heat and cool the space. The team takes pride in the positive
impact they bring to the environment and the financial savings it provides their customers. The heart of ACES Energy beats for the possibility of tomorrow. Each geothermal heat pump installation is a step towards a healthier future, equivalent to planting 750 trees. The team is driven by the desire to contribute to healing the earth, providing sustainable heating and cooling solutions, and saving their customers money. In 2016, ACES Energy took part in a landmark project – The Factory on Russell Street in Rochester. Collaborating with a local business, they turned an old factory into a high-end establishment with sustainable heating and cooling powered by geothermal. The success of this project has inspired other businesses to seek their own sustainability stories. “Our door is always open to discuss solutions that can lead you to energy and money savings for your home or business,” the ACES team says. ACES Energy’s goals are clear – make geothermal and solar PV accessible to the community. The team works tirelessly to sustain partnerships and provide resources for customers to transition away from fossil fuels. With upfront rebates, tax credits, and low-interest financing, ACES Energy ensures that geothermal is within reach for homeowners. This year, ACES Energy is expanding its commercial work, meeting the growing demand for geothermal heating and cooling systems in commercial spaces. The acquisition of a purpose-built flush trailer to filter sediment out of geothermal loopfield lines and hydroponic lines at installation ensures system performance for years to come. ACES Energy is deeply rooted in the community, sponsoring local youth sports teams and offering educational sessions on geothermal and solar PV to local schools. Their commitment extends beyond providing services; it involves actively engaging with and supporting the next generation of environmentally conscious thinkers. Curious about geothermal technology? ACES Energy invites you to visit their office Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. Experience the efficiency firsthand, as their office is heated and cooled by a geothermal heat pump. The team is ready to share their expertise, discuss available applications, and guide you toward a sustainable, cost-effective heating and cooling solution. ACES Energy – where innovation meets sustainability for a brighter tomorrow.

people shouldn’t have to worry about whether they can afford to keep a car on the road, a home protected, or maintain a business. Southern Hills is here to find you the best rates and coverage options, so if you have any insurance questions or have something you’re not sure how to insure, just give the agency a call and they will search out options for you. Several years ago, when the agency outgrew their office space, they knew they needed to stay in the Honeoye Falls community. They take great delight in being the only insurance agency where the owner works and lives in Honeoye Falls. It took a couple of years to finally renovate the offices at 12 Monroe Street, but now they have expanded and can offer services in a comfortably old school space. The ample space gives customers the opportunity to have meetings in a professional capacity. They have even opened their conference room to local gatherings and informal business meetings. The agency offers personal insurance including Auto, Homeowners, Tenant, Rental Property, ATVs, Boat, Snowmobile and much more. Their commercial business insurance includes Business Owner, General Liability, Business Auto, Commercial Property, Umbrella, Workers Compensation, Disability, etc. They strive to help all businesses in the area, including Auto Sales, Auto Repair, Offices, Retail Stores, Restaurants, Building Owners, Businesses that rent space, Storage Facilities, Manufacturing, Contractors, etc. In 2024, the Southern Hills Insurance Agency celebrates its 15th year of business, growing from a one room office that represented only one insurance company to setting down roots in the renovated building at 12 Monroe St. in Honeoye Falls, where they now offer more than 15 insurance companies. The agency is very thankful for the community, friends, and family who have made this possible. They are extremely proud to call the beautiful tight knit community of Honeoye Falls their home. Father/daughter duo, John and Kaitlyn Hefferon, own and operate the agency. John nears 30 years in the insurance industry and Kaitlyn worked for a Fortune 500 company before working at Southern Hills for the past five years. This family owned and operated business continues to serve the community and help protect what is most valuable to you, whether that is your home, your auto, or your business. Kaitlyn states, “We strive to do everything and make the insurance purchasing process seamless. We know insurance can be quite stressful and overwhelming, so we make switching insurance quick, easy, and painless. We really enjoy saving people money.” Especially during this time of financial uncertainty with bills and groceries,
The agency continues to be forward-thinking and looks to expand the insurance offerings and insurance companies available to better serve their community and the needs they have. They also look to grow in local talent and look to find quality employees who are seeking insurance as a potential career. In this digital age, Southern Hills Insurance bridges the gap and offers the convenience of purchasing and servicing policies virtually while maintaining a professional, local, and comfortable office space to stop in and discuss individual insurance needs with a real face to face agent. The customers enjoy having the best of both worlds. John says, “Our customers and community mean everything to us!” Customers offer insight: Robin R says, “Friendly, professional staff willing to answer any questions and help with understanding policy info any time! Happy to do business with a locally owned and operated business who gives back so much to the community. Highly recommend!” and Brittney S writes, “Absolutely fantastic and great prices.” When you insure with Southern Hills Insurance, you can rest easy knowing they’ll be there for you during the good times and the bad.

Board Members 2023-2024
Our Causes PROMOTING PEACE
Rotary encourages conversations to foster understanding within and across cultures. We train adults and young leaders to prevent and mediate conflict and help refugees who have fled dangerous areas.
FIGHTING DISEASE
We educate and equip communities to stop the spread of life-threatening diseases like polio, HIV/ AIDS, and malaria. We improve and expand access to low-cost and free health care in developing areas.
PROVIDING CLEAN WATER, SANITATION, AND HYGIENE
We support local solutions to bring clean water, sanitation, and hygiene to more people every day. We don’t just build wells and walk away. We share our expertise with community leaders and educators to make sure our projects succeed long-term.
Teddy Bear Picnic
SAVING MOTHERS AND CHILDREN
Nearly 6 million children under the age of five die each year because of malnutrition, poor health care, and inadequate sanitation. We expand access to quality care, so mothers and their children can live and grow stronger.
SUPPORTING EDUCATION
More than 775 million people over the age of 15 are illiterate. Our goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy.
GROWING LOCAL ECONOMIES
We carry out service projects that enhance economic and community development and create opportunities for decent and productive work for young and old. We also strengthen local entrepreneurs and community leaders, particularly women, in impoverished communities.
PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
Rotary members are tackling environmental issues the way they always do: coming up with projects, using their connections to change policy and planning for the future.
Service Above Self OBJECT OF ROTARY
The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster: 1. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service. 2. High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society. 3. The focus of Safe at Home is on keeping people active and mobile, working with them to overcome challenges and providing exercise classes at their gym. This integrated approach fosters wellness and mobility, enabling individuals to age actively and manage Parkinson’s effectively. Services are available both in the comfort of your home or at the clinic/gym located in
Victor and Geneva. The dedication to quality care led to Safe at Home being recognized as the Greater Rochester Score 2019 Outstanding Business. A wide range of individual programs and group classes cater to those living with Parkinson’s. From the 4-week LSVT BIG program to Parkinson Wellness Recovery Moves (PWR! Moves) and Rock Steady Boxing classes, Safe at Home advocates for individuals with Parkinson’s, collaborating with therapists and clinicians for optimal outcomes. Clients often experience significant improvements, and the right exercise regimen can help slow disease progression and alleviate symptoms. Apart from Parkinson’s programs, Safe at Home offers entertaining cardio cognitive and functional fitness classes that boost endurance and mental sharpness. The convenience of accessing therapy at home empowers individuals to age actively and confidently. With 23 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, Robin emphasizes early intervention, encouraging people to start therapy as soon as issues arise to prevent potential complications. Safe at Home also ensures smooth communication with doctors while operating in New York, a direct access state where individuals do not require referrals to begin physical therapy. To learn more, interested individuals can call 585-398-6050 or visit www. safeathomept.com. Additionally, the Parkinson’s Empowerment Podcast provides valuable insights. Robin and the dedicated team at Safe at Home eagerly await the opportunity to offer their support and expertise.

Honeoye Falls - Lima CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
Points of Cougar Pride By Gene Mancuso, Superintendent of Schools
WELCOME TO HF-L
Welcome to the Honeoye Falls-Lima School Community. Our District’s commitment to continuous improvement and to keeping our students at the heart of every decision we make is apparent in all we do. We set high standards for performance through our Strategic Plan, and are able to achieve these high expectations in large part because of the commitment of our Board of Education, staff members and community members. Members of our community participate in our schools in a variety of ways—from volunteering in classrooms to participating in program-budget planning. We take great pride in the strong partnership between our community and schools that we have built by working together.
OUR DISTRICT
high school students closer to “world class” performance. In addition, we offer instrumental music for students in grades 4-12, and numerous interscholastic sports, such as baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross-country, diving, track and field, football, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, skiing (Nordic and Alpine), soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, volleyball and wrestling. Our students achieve excellent results in a wide variety of sports and academic competitions.
OUR VISION
The Honeoye Falls-Lima School District’s collective curiosity, energy, enthusiasm and dedication drive our daily pursuit of excellence. As a centerpiece in the community, we will provide a caring, respectful, and educationally challenging environment that values and listens to its members. With our community, we will create a learning organization that provides a world-class education for our students. Teaching, learning and high standards will provide our graduates with a world-class education that will prepare them to compete in a continuously changing world.
The Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District was established in 1969 through a merger of the neighboring Honeoye Falls and Lima School Districts. Honeoye Falls, originally known as Norton’s Mills, was founded in 1791. Lima was founded three years later. Our District comprises 74 square miles and nine towns in three counties: Monroe County (Mendon, Henrietta and Rush); Livingston County (Avon, Lima and Livonia) and Ontario (Victor, West Bloomfield and Richmond).
Our graduates will think critically, creatively and independently, communicate effectively, solve problems and work cooperatively. They will be well-rounded and highly skilled in the use of languages, mathematics and the sciences. Our students will understand and appreciate diversity. They will have a variety of experiences and an appreciation for the arts. They will be self-directed learners, grounded in ethics and prepared to accept the responsibilities of a contributing member of our local and the global community.
The Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District serves a student population of approximately 2,500. Our District includes four schools located on separate sites: Lima Primary (K-1); Manor Elementary (2-5); Middle School (6-8); and High School (9-12).
STRATEGIC PLANNING AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Our students benefit from many exciting and innovative programs, as well as enrichment opportunities. Advanced Placement classes are offered in art, biology, environmental, accounting, AB calculus, BC calculus, chemistry, French, English literature, English composition, macroeconomics, American government, American history, European history, comparative government & politics, Latin, physics, statistics, psychology, Spanish, and Pre-AP humanities. The program is internationally recognized as a rigorous college-level learning experience during which students research, debate and conduct inquiry on global issues of importance. It brings our

Our strategic planning process welcomes community members as active participants. A number of goals, or strategic intents, are established around key academic areas. The intents are monitored throughout the year to identify any adjustments that may be needed in program implementation. Comprehensive and ongoing feedback from District residents, parents, students and staff drive our efforts toward continuous improvement. Residents are encouraged to attend school board meetings, which are regularly held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 pm in the Board of Education Room at the HF-L High School. We also encourage residents to take part in program budget planning and the Strategic Planning process. Contact the Superintendent’s Office for further information.
