Sodium: Otherwise known as salt, sodium is necessary to maintain nerve and muscle health. However, many people consume too much sodium, oftentimes because of processed foods. WebMD notes that sodium intake should be limited to 2,300 milligrams or less per day. Certain people, such as those over the age of 51, African Americans or those with certain conditions, such as hypertension and diabetes, should consume no more than 1,500 milligrams of sodium per day.

Save money and stay cool as temperatures rise
Excessive energy bills can be a concern in spring and summer, just as much as they are in the winter. So how can you save money while keeping your home cool? The solution is simple: Top up your attic insulation.
A poorly insulated attic is a primary source of energy loss, forcing your AC unit to work harder than necessary over the warmer months. Most attics are insulated, but oftentimes the amount of insulation present is inadequate - especially in older homes. Over time, insulation can settle and compact, allowing heat to escape through gaps.
Topping it up is easy. Ideally, you want to aim for a depth of 16 inches of insulation for an overall R-value of 50. When existing insulation is present, simply level existing insulation to the top of the joist. Lay a fire- and moisture-resistant batt insulation on top of joists, running perpendicular to the first layer. Ensure batts are butted against each other tightly. Fit batts closely to cross joists; cut batt if necessary (this can be done easily with a serrated blade or bread knife) and leave no space between layers. Don’t forget to insulate the attic hatch to the same level as the rest of the attic. Apply weather-stripping to the edge of the hatch to reduce air leakage. Keep in mind that only IC-rated electrical fixtures can have insulation placed with zero clearance. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and local building code to insulate around the chimney.
When a house is insulated properly, energy savings can add up over time. Remember, insulation starts working the moment it is installed and can last for the life of the building.
Reduce energy costs and improve the safety of your home through energy efficiency measures in owned or rented property.

LOW-COST WAYS TO REVAMP LIVING AREAS
Establish the budget. Homeowners should figure out how many dollars they can designate to a living room makeover before purchasing supplies or hiring out the work. Figure out the scope of the remodel, visit stores or suppliers to price out materials, get estimates from contractors, and then plan for some unforeseen circumstances along the way to determine if this type of renovation is affordable. If not, scale things back until the project more closely aligns with your budget.
Discardsomeitems.Homeownerswhoaredownsizingfromlargehomes may need to part with some of their furniture to make their transition to smaller homes go more smoothly. For example, homeowners may need to get by with just one bedroom nightstand and may even need to replace their existing nightstands with something more compact. Discarding living room end tables and downsizing to a smaller coffee table also can help homeowners make smaller common areas more welcoming and less cluttered.

REMODELING
THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE REPLACING WINDOWS
Moisture problems indicate windows need to be replaced. Condensation that shows up as fogging between double-pane windows or on the inside of windows indicates that the windows are starting to fail. If installing a vapor barrier in the basement or crawl space, ventilating properly when showering or cooking, or using a dehumidifier indoors does not remedy the situation, it might be time to replace windows.
PLANNING AHEAD IS VITAL TO A SUCCESSFUL RENOVATION
Determine your motivation for renovating: Renovation projects often involve balancing needs and wants, and determining if a project is a necessity or a luxury can set the timeline and course of the project. Is the roof leaking? If so, immediate action is necessary. Could the kitchen be a bit more functional? If the kitchen is still manageable, a homeowner may be able to wait a little bit to get better prices on appliances or contracting services.
Separating needs from wants helps homeowners map out a viable timeline that maximizes productivity and affordability.

Leaving An Estate To Charity
One doesn’t have to be a famous movie producer or sports star to donate assets to charity in wills. Individuals sometimes make the choice to leave a portion of their estate to a favorite charity to create a legacy that helps the unfortunate. Such a decision may surprise family members, so it may be wise to discuss plans when drafting wills and ensuring that the correct method of bequeathing estates to charities is followed.
When a will is written, it is typically in a person’s best interest to consult with an estate-planning attorney prior to making any decisions. When working in conjunction with a financial planner, an attorney can help you grow your estate and ensure your assets will be distributed according to your wishes.

* “Sunburn can be soothed with plain vinegar. For the back, arms or legs, soak a washcloth in room temperature vinegar and lay it on the affected area for 15 minutes, then rinse. For the face, soak a cotton ball and lightly dab on burned areas.” -- I.E. in California
* “Bug bites can be treated with banana peel. Use a small piece of the peel laid white side down over the bite. Secure with a BandAid. Leave on at least 5 minutes. is works especially well for my kids, who seem to think it’s fun.” -- W.S. in Alabama
* “Old farm trick: I keep a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol mixed with water on my garden cart. If I think I got into some poison ivy, I spray the skin area pretty thoroughly with the alcohol. It’s the oil that spreads the rash, and the alcohol stops it from spreading pretty well.” -- J.J. in Florida

EQUAL HOUSING OPPORTUNITY
STATISTICS SHOW JUST HOW BIG SMALL BUSINESS IS
Small businesses have such a big impact on their communities, and the world at large, that it might be time to reconsider refering to them as “small.” According to the World Bank, small businesses have a major impact on the world economy, especially in emerging countries. In such nations, small and medium enterprises contribute up to 60 percent of total employment and up to 40 percent of national income. Small businesses figure to frame their economies in emerging countries in the coming decades, and they’re already doing so in developed nations, such as the United States and Canada.

Electric motorcycles
With the number of electric motorcycles gaining popularity and getting more powerful, there is a concern for safety from a few points of view.
Thank You York Vet Hospital
A traditional (gas powered) motorcycle must be inspected yearly, licensed, insured and ridden with its headlight on by a rider who has taken and passed a rider’s test and must be wearing a DOT approved helmet and follow the same rules of the road that cars and trucks follow.
Some E-Bikes can go over 40 miles per hour and do not have the same requirements as a traditional motorcycle nor is the rider subject to the same regulations as the traditional motorcycle rider is.
I have observed E-Bikes riding on sidewalks, riding against traffic on roads, passing other vehicles and not safely following the rules of the road. I think E-Bikes are a great form of transportation and look forward to when they are safer for the rider and other vehicles on the road.
The Entitlement of the [local road] Coners
We recently lost our two girls (cats) within a month. One was expected but the other was a shock as one week she was fine and the other not. The care that they received from the staff, especially from Dr. Dan, was amazing. They squeezed us in for appointments and were so compassionate and honest. We are so lucky to have a local place to take our pets. A big thank you for all of those who take care of beloved animals!
Thank you!
I did not ask his name, but I would like to thank the gentleman that returned our shopping cart at Walmart Saturday in the rain. He had to get wetter than necessary waiting as we finished unpacking it. Thank you with a capital T!
I am struck by the sense of entitlement exhibited by many [local road] residents here, as they use cones and other claim staking devices to commandeer public property for personal use during July festivities.
Fundamentally, a property right is a negative right - the right to exclude others from using an asset. If I were to park my car in your driveway or on your lawn in July or any other time because I feel entitled to do so, I'm sure you would be justifiably brusque in informing me of your right to exclude me. (You might even growl "GET OFF MY LAWN.") In contrast, you have no right to exclude me from using an open parking space on the right-ofway of a public highway. Please explain why you think otherwise. And don't whine it's because of the property taxes you pay. I think the lake towns should ban the practice of coning public parking spaces. OR create a database of the public parking spaces and auction them off online as leases to the highest bidders.
SOY FOODS PACK A POWERFUL PUNCH
MOMENTS IN TIME The History Channel
* On July 16, 1863, the draft riots enter their fourth day in New York City in response to the Enrollment Act. Although avoiding military service became much more difficult, wealthier citizens could still pay a $300 fee to stay home.
The Cleveland Clinic notes that soy foods provide a host of nutritional benefits. Plant protein, including soy, can provide cardiovascular benefits, including helping with people with high blood pressure lower their blood pressure to healthier levels. While many people rely on animal-based proteins to get their daily recommended intake of protein, soy foods are naturally free of cholesterol and low in saturated fats. That makes soy foods more heart-healthy sources of protein than animal products. The Cleveland Clinic says substituting soy foods for animal-based proteins a few times per week can reduce a person’s risk for cardiovascular disease. Soy foods also can be a great source of dietary fiber, though the U.S. Soybean Export Council advises consumers that not all soy products are the same. The USSEC notes that foods like soy milk and tofu contain very little fiber. People who want to utilize soy beans as a source of dietary fiber should look to foods that utilize the whole bean, such tempeh, soy flour and textured soyprotein.TheUSSECalsonotes there’s some confusion in regard to the connection between soy foods and iron, though the group admits research is ongoing. While a 1/2 cup serving of cooked soybeanscontainsfourmilligrams ofiron, thephytateandsoyprotein present in soy foods reduce iron absorption, meaning that the body won’t really benefit from the iron. However, theUSSECrecommends consumers purchase fermented soy foods, including tempeh and miso, because the body might absorbmoreironfromthesefoods than it will when consuming other types soy foods.
TO YOUR GOOD HEALTH

Man’s Restless Legs Raise up to a Foot in the Air at Night
DEAR DR. ROACH: Do you have any recommendations to stop restless legs at night? My husband has been to many doctors to find a cause or a solution to stop them. His legs have raised up as much as a foot in the air at night, constantly jumping and causing many sleepless nights. No one seems to have a solution for him. -- J.O.
ANSWER: Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a common condition where people have the urge to move their legs. It’s usually worse at night and associated with an unpleasant sensation that is relieved by movement. People with RLS often have involuntary jerking movements of their legs during sleep, unimaginatively called “periodic limb movements of sleep.”
Your husband may have these periodic limb movements without RLS, which is then considered periodic limb movement disorder. Treatment recommendations require an exact diagnosis. I often see his condition misdiagnosed or continue on for years without a diagnosis. The diagnosis is confirmed by a sleep study where the limb movements are recorded and characterized. Once the diagnosis is made, there are a few important considerations:
The first is that this condition often coincides with iron deficiency, which should be looked for and treated, if necessary. (The underlying cause for iron deficiency also needs to be found.) It may take weeks or even months after iron replacement for the leg movements to get better. Prior to medication treatment, a review of any medicines your husband takes is appropriate, as some can cause similar symptoms. Regular exercise, avoidance of caffeine and alcohol, and good sleep (ironically) can all improve symptoms in some people.

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT NERVE INJURIES
What do peripheral nerves do? Johns Hopkins Medicine notes that peripheral nerves send messages from the brain and spinal cord to the rest of the body. This is done through a network of 43 pairs of motor and sensory nerves that control the functions of sensation, movement and motor coordination.
If medicine is needed, medications like pregabalin or pramipexole may be the first-line treatment, depending on the results of the sleep study and how intermittent the symptoms are. A new therapy called neurostimulation is a drug-free approach that has been shown to be effective. One device, the tonic motor activation, was approved by the Food and Drug Administration for RLS and will hopefully be available shortly.
But there are many experts in this condition. He should see a sleep medicine expert.

Teeth whitening is a minimally invasive way to improve your smile, appearance, and self-esteem. Most dental clinics offer two options for professional teeth whitening: an in-office treatment and a take home kit. In-office whitening treatments cost more than professional take-home kits, but they can achieve a higher level of bleaching in just over an hour. For many people, the ease and convenience are worth the extra cost. Alternatively, a dentist can dispense a professional take-home kit, sometimes referred to as “trays and gels.” This option takes one to two weeks to achieve the desired whiteness level. The trays are custom molded to your teeth and the dentist can fine-tune the peroxide concentrations, offering some advantages to over-the-counter whitening kits.
At
BATAVIA FAMILY DENTAL,
improving the look, health, and function of your smile is our primary focus. From cosmetic dentistry to general family dentistry to preventive care, we are dedicated to working with our patients toward the goal of achieving the healthiest, most attractive smiles possible. Are you curious how today’s dental procedures can virtually change your life? We’d be glad to tell you about the many ways we can help make your smile a dazzling one. Just call us at 6 Batavia City Centre,585.343.4246.
P.S. Teeth whitening treatments offered at a dental clinic use higher concentrations of peroxide, allowing them to produce whiter teeth than over-the-counter options.

• Plantar fasciitis often begins with irritation and tearing of the fibrous band of tissue on the bottom of the foot, which may eventually result in the formation of a heel spur.
• 95% of our patients’ symptoms are resolved with conservative treatment, avoiding surgical intervention.
• We also offer surgical procedures with the best post op success rates using Endoscopic Plantar Fasciotomy techniques (minimal incisions and scarring; often back in a shoe in 1 week).

Homemade hummus with truly unique taste
Hummus provides a delicious and healthy alternative to less nutritional dips. Versatile and available in various flavors, hummus can be whipped up at home for those who prefer to make their own dips. The following recipe for “Garbanzo-Carrot Hummus with Grilled Yogurt Flatbread” from James Campbell Caruso’s “España: Explore the Flavors of Spain” (Gibbs Smith) includes some Moroccan flavors that give this easy-toprepare recipe a truly unique taste.
Garbanzo-Carrot Hummus with Grilled Yogurt Flatbread
Makes 2 cups
2 medium carrots, peeled and chopped
Salt
1 cup cooked garbanzo beans, drained
4 teaspoons chopped cilantro plus 1 teaspoon for garnish
2 tablespoons chopped red onion
21/2 teaspoons ground cumin
11/2 teaspoons ground coriander seeds
2 tablespoons lemon juice
4 teaspoons olive oil
2 teaspoons chile flakes
2 teaspoons Moroccan Spice Blend (see below)
Coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 batch Yogurt Flatbread (see below)
In a medium saucepan, combine the carrots with 2 quarts water and 2 teaspoons salt. Bring the mixture to a boil then reduce the heat and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes, until the carrots are tender. Remove the pan from the heat and allow the carrots to drain and cool in a colander.
Combine carrots and remaining ingredients, except for Yogurt Flatbread, in the work bowl of a food processor and puree until smooth. Season to taste with salt and pepper and garnish with the remaining cilantro. Serve with fresh, hot Yogurt Flatbread cut in wedges.
Moroccan Spice Blend
Makes about 2 tablespoons
In a small resealable glass or plastic container, combine 1 teaspoon each of: ground cumin, ground turmeric, saffron threads, ground coriander, ground cinnamon, ground smoked paprika, finely grated lemon peel.
Yogurt Flatbread
Serves 4
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon coarse salt
21/2 cups plain yogurt
Olive oil
Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into the work bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook. Add the yogurt and mix on low speed for 2 minutes. Cover the work bowl and allow the dough to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Preheat a gas or charcoal grill to medium. Scrape the dough from the work bowl and turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. Roll the dough into a long log and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and use a rolling pin or tortilla press to flatten it into a 1/4-inch-thick tortilla shape. Brush each “tortilla” lightly with olive oil. Grill each for about 40 seconds then turn and cook another 40 seconds.
The Enchanting Melodies of the Hopeman Memorial Carillon: A July Series at the University of Rochester
BY SUZIE WELLS
Wednesday evenings in July, melodic sounds fill the air around the University of Rochester as carillonneurs perform a captivating blend of classics and contemporary scores. is summer tradition, held at the university’s Hopeman Memorial Carillon atop the Rush Rhees Library, offers a unique auditory experience, inviting the community to enjoy the harmonious bells that resonate across the campus.
e carillon is a chromatically tuned percussion instrument played with a keyboard that controls 50 touch-sensitive bronze bells suspended above the crown of the library, between the top columns of the bell lantern. e Hopeman Carillon is one of only seven carillons in New York State and about 190 in North America, making it a rare and treasured instrument.
July 10 – Jennifer Lory-Moran
Jennifer Lory-Moran has advised the Cornell University Chimes program in Ithaca since 2000. With over 30 years of experience playing the chime there, Jennifer has also performed on carillons at the University of Rochester and Alfred University. Although chimes and carillons both consist of tuned bells, the techniques to play them can vary significantly, depending on the playing stand installed.
Jennifer’s journey into carillon music began in 2012, and since the nearest carillon was two hours away, she embraced distance learning with the Royal Carillon School in Mechelen, Belgium, taking lessons via Skype with a practice keyboard in her living room. Her dedication has led to notable achievements, including winning the Yale University Guild of Carillonneurs arranging contest with her arrangement of “Pure Imagination.”
Her performance this summer will include widely recognizable folk songs, such as “ e Water is Wide,” “Shenandoah,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” as well as Willy Wonka favorites such as “ e Candy Man Can” and “Pure Imagination.”
During her performance, Jennifer will play a selection of pieces including the “Dark Chocolate” movement of Alice Gomez’s well as “Sunrise, Sunset,” a poignant piece reflecting on the swi passage of time, notable with her daughter’s recent college graduation.
July 17 – Abby Pan
Abby Pan, a graduate of the Royal Carillon School in Mechelen, Belgium, brings a diverse musical background to her carillon performances. With a degree in English and Physics from Wellesley College and currently pursuing a PhD in Physics at Stanford, Abby’srepertoireisasvariedasheracademicinterests.
Pan
Her performance will include “Memory” from Cats, “One Summer’s Day” from Spirited Away Tchaikovsky’s “Chant d’Automne.” Additionally, she will perform the Civil Rights Movement’s unofficial anthem, “Hymn to Freedom,” Joey Brink’s “American Gothic,” and Alice Gomez’s “Lament and Allelujah,” as well as jazz standards “Summertime” and “Autumn Leaves.”
July 24 – Joseph Min
JosephMin,arecentgraduateoftheRoyalCarillon School, now attends the Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation. He plays the carillon at Riverside Church and is a member of the Riverside Ringers handbell group.
Joseph’s performance theme, “In the Wind,” guides listeners on a melodic breeze through the day, with composers and themes scattered throughout the concert as the wind scatters elements around as day progresses. His selections include “Wings of the Morning” from American Gothic, “Dos Oruguitas” from Encanto, and “Colors of the Wind” from Pocahontas. He will also play Joey Brink’s “Eaux Troubles,” inviting the audience to experience the fluidity and dynamics of water through music.
July 31 – Andrea McCrady
Dr. Andrea McCrady, adjunct professor in carillon studies at Carleton University in Ottawa and Dominion Carillonneur at the Peace Tower Carillon, has an extensive background in both carillon music and medicine. Appointed in 2008, she has played the carillon since 1971 and has studied at various prestigious carillon schools in Europe.
Her performance will follow an “On the Move” theme, taking listeners on a journey through different modes of transportation. Her program includes “Bicycle Built for Two,” John Lennon and Paul McCartney’s “Yellow Submarine,” Gerry Goffin and Carole King’s “ e LocoMotion,” Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again,” and John Denver’s “Leavin’ on a Jet Plane.”
At the conclusion of each recital, attendees may greet the soloist on the library steps. is post-concert meet-and-greet provides a wonderful opportunity to connect with the performers and learn more about the art of carillon playing.
Don’t miss this chance to experience the enchanting melodies of the Hopeman Memorial Carillon at these free, public concerts. Whether you attend in person or join the live stream, these concerts promise to be a highlight of the summer. roughout the school year, check out the weekly concerts on Sundays at 5pm.

What plants are best for: full sun, partial, and full shade around the Rochester area?
While this question is almost impossible to answer, as every landscape designer would have differed views, when it comes to selecting plants for different lighting conditions in the Rochester area, native plants are a great choice, following the “Right Plant. Right Place.” principle. Here are some recommendations:
Simply Perfect
WEDDING INVITATIONS
Created just for your big day, we've put together sets of stunning wedding invitations to perfectly match
Full Sun: Some native plants that thrive in full sun include Black-eyed Susan, Purple Coneflower, Butterfly Milkweed, and Little Bluestem. These plants are adapted to the local climate and will flourish in areas with direct sunlight.
Partial Shade: For areas with partial shade, consider planting native species like Wild Geranium, Virginia Bluebells, Foamflower, and Wild Ginger. These plants can tolerate some shade while still providing beauty and ecological benefits.
Full Shade: In areas with full shade, native plants like Woodland Phlox, Wild Columbine, Wild Bleeding Heart, and Wild Ginger are excellent choices. These plants are adapted to low light conditions and will add color and interest to shady spots.
By selecting native plants that are well-suited to the specific lightingconditionsinyourgarden, youcancreateasustainable and thriving landscape while supporting the local ecosystem.

Beat the heat during a summer wedding
Choose hairstyles and makeup wisely. Brides may prefer up-dos to keep hair off of their necks and allow for breezes to cool their bodies. Rely on makeup primers and powdered foundations so that makeup does not melt in the heat. Waterproof cosmetics are adviseable so that perspiration won’t cause makeup to run.

Honeybees and other bees require some sort of shelter. Dead trees and plants provide adequate shelter, so don’t be so tempted to pull out all of the undergrowth in the name of aesthetics.
Log flume rides allow thrillseekers to extend their fun into the water. The modern log flume may be traced back to old mill rides that used tracks to guide boats through tunnels and hills. Modern log flumes are much more splash-intensive.

Prayer is a highly personal thing, since we all discuss our affairs with our own version of a Supreme being in our own way. Everyone prays..... especially at times of extreme stress. Just as “there are no atheists in foxholes” so, too, there is no one who doesn’t turn to his God for help when he knows his own resources are not adequate for the need at hand.
People in dire straits are the ones who are most apt to pray “heartily.” And, in telling God about our problems, we are very apt to gain new perspective..... perhaps even discover solutions for ourselves. In fact, this could be God’s answer to our prayer.
Families of all faiths and creeds can be certain of perfectly appropriate services when they put their trust in us.
WHY BUY LIFE INSURANCE?
Facing one’s mortality and the prospect of leaving family members behind is not always easy. Death, financial security and planning for the future are all difficult subjects, but planning ahead can make matters much easier in the long run.
Life insurance needs frequently come up when making plans, and many people find that purchasing a life insurance policy is a worthwhile investment. Life insurance holds an important place in overall financial planning. One of the most apparent benefits of life insurance is that it will provide a considerable sum of cash upon the insured’s death, which can be put toward the cost of funeral arrangements, housing and dependent care. Beyond end-of-life bills and care, life insurance can offer other advantages, say the experts at Allstate Insurance Company. Life insurance can provide a family with a financial safety net. When a beneficiary is named, life insurance can serve as an inheritance for that person or people. Heirs may face estate taxes after a loved one dies, and life insurance benefits may help offset all or a portion of the costs.
There may be benefits to life insurance while a person is living as well. The life insurance information site Term Life 2 Go says that, depending on the policy, life insurance can be borrowed against to pay off debt, buy a house or live off of dividends from the life insurance investment. This can provide a source of supplemental retirement income. Gateway Financial advisors say that many life insurance plans are extremely flexible and can be modified as needs change. Death benefits may be decreased if desired, and premiums can be skipped, reduced or increased.
Business owners also can use life insurance policies to their advantage. Including life insurance with the list of other benefits offered to prospective employees can entice top-notch candidates.Sole proprietors may use life insurance as a business continuation plan so that insurance proceeds can keep the business in the black until it is sold or a replacement owner is found.
Shopping for life insurance requires careful research and an understanding of the products available. Consumers should have a thorough understanding of term and whole life policies, what premiums will cost, what the death benefit will pay, and if there are any living benefits. For example, living benefits may cover some costs for chronically or terminally ill people.
Working with an experienced life insurance advisor can help people navigate the types of policies available to them.

THE RIGHT WAY TO LEAVE A JOB
Provide ample notice. Even if it is time to move on, ensure that your current employer has plenty of time to interview potential replacements and train someone to take your place. This ensures an easy transition for all involved, and can show your employer that you have the company’s best interests in mind. While two weeks’ notice is the standard, if you have held a professional position for some time, extend the courtesy to three.

GET A HANDLE ON WORK-RELATED STRESS
Take more time off. According to the “State of American Vacation 2016” report from Project: Time Off, American workers failed to use 658 million vacation days in 2015. Vacation is not just a time to getaway, butavaluable, effective way for workers to recharge. The APA notes that avoiding the negative effects of chronic stress and burnout requires workers to take time away to replenish and return to their pre-stress level of functioning. Taking time off to disconnect from work and avoid thinking about work can be just what workers need to overcome their work-related stress. And plenty of workers have the time to take off; they just need to take it.
Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is no small task for today’s working parents. But such a goal is possible.

RELOCATING FOR A NEW JOB
Emphasize organization. Much of the stress associated with relocating can be traced to the logistics of uprooting oneself and one’s family. Men and women who are unaccustomed to making lists may want to start, as doing so can help keep track of all the tasks that need to be completed before hitting the road. Various unique tasks, from canceling utilities to changing insurance policies, must be completed before moving, and it’s easy to lose track of what’s been done and what hasn’t. Maintaining a to-do list and checking off tasks as they’re completed can simplify the relocation process.
