(An award of £20.00 will be made to each Driving Turnout attending the Show) Affiliated to The British Driving Society.

All exhibitors are asked to please provide a brief description/history of the vehicle and their horse/pony (Please DO NOT use the Name of your horse/pony or the Name of the Driver/Owner in your details). This will be read out by the Commentator. PLEASE submit details with your entry form.

60. Open Driving Class: Horses and ponies 4 years old or over.

Open to any vehicle to include Traditional/Traditional Type Vehicle, Exercise Vehicle and Trade Vehicle, Show Wagon and Sulky’s are not allowed. All turnouts to be suitable harnessed.

The Show offers a Best Young Driver Rosette in the class, Young Drivers 8-17 years of age, a competent experienced adult groom, aged 18 years or over to be carried at all times. Attention is drawn to Rule 6.3 concerning hard hats BDS Year Book.

The class will be judged in the Ring together, and if sufficient entries forward on the day the class will be split at the Judges Discretion, a Concours d’Elegance will run within the class and will be judged separately by a chosen Judge.

The classes will be run under BDS Rules and Show Affiliation.

The Sally & Jane Perpetual Cup to the winner of the Class.

The Palms Cup presented by Mrs. Palms for the Best Exhibit not exceeding 12.2hh (128cm) and under.

Special Rosette and prize of £5.00 will be awarded to the Best Exhibit not exceeding 13.2hh (138cm).

Special Rosette and prize of £5.00 will be awarded to the Best Exhibit exceeding 13.2hh (138cm).

Special Rosette to the Best Young Driver.

The British Driving Society offers Rosettes to the Champion and Reserve Champion and Best Young Driver.
