In my usual never-ending quest to get my craft room sorted, I’ve been trying to clear out some of the supplies I just don’t need. I’ve acquired quite a bit recently and need to make some more space! So if I can’t envision a project ever being made with them or if I’m not head over heels in love with them, it’s time they went. But now comes the question of what to do with them? I could never ever bring myself to actually bin perfectly good supplies, so I will have to find them a loving home. I’m lucky enough to have colleagues who are just as craft-obsessed as I am, who I can pass many of them on to, but I’ve been giving a lot of thought to what other options there are. The most obvious is to set up an Etsy store to sell them off, and if you have only small amounts you can always make matching packs. Another option is to organise a swap with a

friend or group – you will always see someone else’s items with fresh eyes and may be able to give them a whole new life! And of course, our favourite option is to give our best pieces to charities. There are so many out there that would love to have craft supplies, ranging from places like Vinnies to your local hospital or church group. And once it’s all gone, it means there’s space to fit new acquisitions (and of course you can always visit our store at www.patchworkandcraft.com.au for some great items)! What do you do with your stash cast-offs? Swing by our Facebook page and let us know!
