Looking Back

November marked the 10th Anniversary of the opening of the Dog Park at Haverford Reserve. Our mission-- to establish a fenced in, off-leash dog park where well-behaved canine citizens can exercise in a clean, safe environment. Residents and township staff teamed up to develop a beautiful, well-maintained space, open to all dog lovers and friends. The park came to fruition after many years of residents requesting a place for (wo)man’s best friend. That day, November 21, 2010, we had 167 dogs participate in the costume parade. Over the last 10 years thousands of dogs have enjoyed the park. Parade Grand Marshall Bailey with township officials
