BALANCE!

My best friend is a Christian and I am a Muslim. Some may think we form

an odd pair, but I beg to differ. We love each other for the sake of God and treat each other like sisters would one another. This month’s issue is about balancing religion and your day-to-day activities. To many this may seem, like a no brainer, but it is very easy to fall into a rut of bad habits. dency to pray fajr, have breakfast (when I remember lol) and begin working. Once I start I rarely stop until it is about 6-7pm and that is only because the room gets dim and I have to switch on the light. Now, the reason why I am sharing this with you is because I end up praying dhuhr, asr and sometimes maghrib at the end of the day. When I told my best-friend that I had not been praying on time, she said: “Religion has to be a focal point. Do not forget how comforting the word of God is”. That was enough to clear my eyes and make me smell the coffee. In life, Allah swt is constantly making a way for you to get back on track. It may come from the most unlikely of sources but as long as your heart is open to it you will see it. Prayers are not to be neglected and the reward for praying on time is infinite. So why delay what you can do now for later?

FAITH

The Party Girl

WHO EMBRACED ISLAM

By: Wajih Ahmed - The Daily Reminders Her conversion from Ibiza party girl to hijab-wearing Muslim in barely three months may well raise a few eyebrows – and she admits that her friends probably think it’s another one of her fads. But trainee teacher Heather Matthews, 27, says Islam has brought her ‘love and happiness’ that she never found in her old ‘shallow’ lifestyle. Mrs Matthews, a mother of two, converted to the faith four weeks ago – two months after returning from a holiday in Ibiza. She says that the photographs of the ‘old her’ taken on that trip show all that is wrong with Western images of beauty. She said: ‘I thought I needed to act and dress in a certain way to feel good about myself. I see girls now and think about what image they are portraying to other people, especially men. ‘It is about self-respect. If you dress and act in a certain way, rightly or wrongly, you’ll be treated in a certain way. ‘Islam has taught

me about real love, not false passion and lust. I can even see the logic in arranged marriage.’ Her path to conversion began when she tried to convince her ex-husband Jerrome, himself a Muslim convert, that the religion was wrong. She was ‘very suspicious’ of the faith, and began reading up on it to support her arguments. Although they separated last year, she continued to learn about Islam and identified with it more and more. Then, four weeks ago, she completed the ‘revert’ process. She said: ‘I underwent the ‘Shahadah’ ceremony of conversion to Islam by repeating a declaration of faith in front of the Imam at my local multi-faith centre. ‘I had several Muslim sisters with me and they bought me a hijab and Islamic books to celebrate. It was wonderful.’ But she admits that her friends have been shocked at her conversion to a religion which is often seen as being oppressive towards

A study by multi-faith group Faith Matters found the number of Muslim converts in Britain has now passed 100,000, doubling in ten years. The report estimated nearly two-thirds of the new converts were women, with an average age of 27 – like Mrs Matthews.

women. ‘People are probably thinking “Oh, it is just another one of Heather’s fads”. It isn’t. It is what I’ve been searching for during the times I’ve been filling my life with instant gratification,’ she said. Mrs Matthews, from Preston, has also had a cautious reaction from her family. But it is the response from passers-by that surprised her the most – especially the effect of her headscarf. ‘No men try to chat me up. When I’m wearing the headscarf I can smile at people without them thinking it is a sexual advance,’ she said. ‘I definitely agree with Islam’s principles of not having sex with someone you’re not married to and to save your beauty for your husband. So I think my next partner would need to be a practising Muslim to understand.

‘It is easy for me to say this now, with hindsight, having made the mistakes, but I think I would have been better off with partners who my parents thought were suitable and learning to love them through friendship first.’ Mrs Matthews has given up alcohol, sticks to a halal diet and plans to fast during Ramadan. She has an English-language Koran which she reads daily, and wants to learn Arabic so that she can recite prayers five times a day. But she will not be forcing Islam on to her daughters – Ellah, five, and two-year-old Halle – from her marriage to Jerrome. ‘People think I must be oppressed but I’m a strong, confident and free woman,’ she said. ‘I know I’m one of the most unlikely people to revert to Islam. ‘It astounds me. But I’ve done it for love and happiness and it has completely changed my life.’

INSPIRING T ALE N T The brief story of woman's God-given talent and how she managed without professional training to nuture her it.

N

adia has always loved drawing, but at the age of 15 she realised that it was more than just a passion, it was actually a beautiful talent, masha’Allah. She sought to improve her talent by taking classes and learning as much as she could about the field, but unfortunately there were no drawing institutes in her city where she could take classes. However this did not stop her. She decided that she would draw an average of 2 portraits a year to practice and help nurture her talent. Each portrait is very time consuming, and although she could have practiced a lot more she told Hayati Magazine, after 3 years of consistent practice she was able to notice immense improvement. When I look at her pieces, they are very realistic and exemplary of a professional portrait artist. Each piece tells a story and as the viewer it is apparent that time and acute attention to detail was spent on each one of them. When asked about her talent, Nadia was very humble and let Hayati Magazine know that she does not see herself as a professional artist. She believes that she still needs a lot of work in order to reach such a level. She confesses that she does indeed use a grid when drawing and explains that for her part of being a professional is being able to draw without one. I do not know much about professional portrait art but I do believe that Nadia’s talent is not shy from it. Art for many is about emotions, feelings and 28

Like you may be thinking, she confirms that she does get many requests for portraits but one she was very happy about was the portrait she made of her family. Talents are very precious gifts from Allah swt

and we should try to nurture and develop them. Nadia was unable to take classes to help improve her talent, however that did not stop her and she decided on her own that she would do her best to practice. Years later, although it took her time, she is able to say that her talent has immensely improved and as she continues to work towards perfecting it she knows it may take a few more years. Working or going to university in the west?

The temptations are unbearable Aren’t they?

There is a solution to your problem... But all it requires is your sound attention and determination.

W

orking or attending university in a western country is not a walk in the park when you are Muslim and practicing. The temptations are real and too many to count. Whether it is socializing with colleagues at a bar for happy hour, or it is a night out at the hottest club with your friends from microbiology class, the temptations are there. You may be thinking that there is no possible way not to attend all of these events without seeming like a nun or a party pooper but I beg to differ.

other to build a career and make an income. You should never forget that. Everything else is extra non-important stuff. Right about now you may be thinking that I don’t understand. What are you meant to do when you get off work, on weekends and after class? The good news is, there are way more rewarding things to do.

Between classes and at the end of the day, instead of going to a bar you could go out for dinner with some friends, go watch a movie or a play or you could actually do what you were sent to do which is study. Extra studying will never be bad, in fact it will make you better prepared for your next class. Okay so now you may be think, Be that it is university or work, you are yea but that still does not make up for the attending either institution to accomplish week, or not. But my advice to you is to something; one to get a degree and the explore during the weekend. Go indoor

rock climbing with your friends, attend that baking workshop you’ve always wanted to attend, go play tennis, go paintballing, go skiing, go go-karting, take a road trip to the beach, go on a boat cruise‌ I can really go on but you the point. The best part is that it will not cost you anymore than you would pay going to a club or a bar. Other than a change in activities, you should also consider a change in friends or people you hang with on a regular day basis if you fear that they will be the cause of you slipping back into old habits. You never know though, after sharing with your friends that you will no longer be going to night clubs or bars with them, they may have a change of heart as well and decide to follow your lead. However all I know is that after a few weekends of parasailing, indoor rock climbing or skiing, your friends will be dying to come hang out with you. The same thing goes for your work life. During the week I am sure that after a long at work you are eager to get home, have dinner, maybe watch some TV then go to bed. However, if you do feel the need to go out after the work, go see a movie instead, or go to the mall. On weekends you should suggest some of these activities to your friends or colleagues. You may be surprised that they are things that they may have wanted to try for some time but had no one to go with. They are great bonding activities and in the long run, you will form better bonds then you would over alcohol.

You're probably familiar with the flavor of ginger in stir fry and Asian foods, but did you know in addition to making a tasty sauce it can help ease a stomach ache? Ginger has been found to relieve nausea, dizziness, gas, heartburn, flatulence and diarrhea. In studies it has shown to be a successful natural remedy for stomach flu and even morning sickness up to 75 percent of the time. Whether you choose ginger ale, ginger tea or other ginger remedies, be sure real ginger root is on the ingredient list. Otherwise don't expect the benefit. Make ginger tea at home by pouring one cup of boiling water over 2 tablespoons of freshly grated ginger and let it steep for 5 to 10 minutes. Strain and drink up.

A spoonful of sugar may make the medicine go down, but a teaspoon of honey can soothe a cough on its very own. Swallowing honey can help calm scratchy throats and dry coughs by coating the throat and thinning the mucus. Plus it tastes good. (Just don't give it to kids under 1 year old because they're at risk for infant botulism.) Honey can also be used as a natural antibacterial treatment on minor cuts and scrapes. Adults listen up: Most hangovers will resolve themselves in about 24 hours, but there is some evidence that the fructose in honey can speed things up. Audrey Halpern, MD, a headache specialist and neurologist, tells Health magazine that spreading a few tablespoons of honey on toast helps your body metabolize alcohol faster.

Noniodized table salt can do more than spice up a bland dinner. Salt can also help take the itch out of bug bites, calm sore throats and relieve sinus congestion from colds or allergies. Itchy insect bites are soothed in a pinch with salt: Mix salt and water to form a paste and apply to the bite. Add a little more water to that mixture and use it as a multi-purpose solution. One of the simplest comforts for a minor sore throat is gargling with warm saltwater. A similar saltwater concoction also works for minor sinus stuffiness. Saline nasal drops ease sinus congestion in infants, kids and adults. Adults can also try clearing congestion with salt and a neti pot. Mix 1/2 cup warm water with 1/2 teaspoon salt. Using a neti pot, pour the mixture into one nostril. Let it flow out the other and repeat in the opposite nostril.

HEALTH

StayHealthy PLACES THAT COULD MAKE YOU SICK By: Laura House When you travel, you leave your controlled, clean, routine environment and venture into unmarked territory. You touch, eat, even sleep on lots of foreign and possibly dirty things. But if, like me, you have an ongoing case of wanderlust, the world's germs aren't enough to deter your globetrotting ways. You have just learned how to prepare for them. Because the fact is that you can plan and organize your life to a T, but if you get sick all your plans go down the drain. Goodbye trip to Hawaii you planned months ago, goodbye presentation you're supposed to give at work tomorrow… The more you know about fending off germs, the more control you have over the seemingly uncontrollable— sickness. Here are 8 of the most germ-infested public places. Take extra care to wash your hands, take an EmergenC, sauna, slather on Bees Aloe & Witch Hazel Hand Sanitizer (or all of the above), after touching these (warning… not recommended reading for people who are already germaphobic): 1.) Soap Dispensers A little contradictory to their purpose, right? But while these seemingly harmless boxes give out soap to keep you clean, the dispensers themselves rarely are. That could be why a recent study found that 25% of restroom soap dispensers are carrying fecal material. Gross, I know. Remember how your kindergarten teacher told you to wash your hands for 15 to 20 seconds? That rule applies to grown-ups too. And add a little alcohol-based hand sanitizer if you have some. 3.) Restaurant Menus Do you really think that stressed out hostess has the time to sanitize and wipe down every menu that comes back to her between seating hundreds of customers a day? Yeah right. Considering that cold and flu viruses can survive for up to 18 hours on a hard surface, don't let your silverware touch your menu and wash your hands after ordering and before you reach for the bread- with your bare hands. 4.) Condiment Dispensers Think of all of the grubby, French fry grease-saturated hands that gripped that very same, uncleaned bottle of ketchup before you wrapped your fingers around it. Wash your hands after pumping that ketchup on your fries and before actually picking up the first fried bite.

2.) Bathroom Door Handles Ever notice someone come out of the bathroom with a paper towel still in his hand? He didn't forget to throw it away, he was just trying to avoid the multitudes of germs that pile up on the door handle. And he's not just doing that to make a scene or because he's a nutty germaphobe, he's doing it because, he's rightbathroom door handles are some of the dirtiest things you can touch (think about all of the people who don't wash their hands after using the restroom, then grab hold of the same exit handle that you use. Grab an extra square of toilet paper of paper towel on your way out to grip the door handle with. 5.) Doctor's Office I know you went there to get rid of a sickness, but it may be where you pick one up! Why? Because everyone else is there for the same reason: they're sick (which is why Skype appointments could be a good thing)! Bring your own magazines, newspapers and children's toys if you have them. Even bringing your own tissues and hand sanitizers is a good idea. HAYATIONLINE.COM

We all talk about this topic. When to wear it or whether not to wear it at all... New technology and a little experiment gives you the answer to all of your questions concerning nail polish. By Mustafa Umar (suhaibwebb.com)

HAYATI

BEAUTY

the issue One of the most common questions asked by Muslim sisters is whether or not they are allowed to wear nail polish. The frequent query about whether nail polish is halāl (lawful) or harām(prohibited) is worded incorrectly. There is nothing intrinsically wrong with wearing nail polish. The real issue is that this substance forms an impermeable barrier over the nails preventing water from getting underneath. So when a sister needs to perform wudū’ (ablution) in order to pray, it cannot be completed without first removing the nail polish. Many Muslim women have found a solution: wear the nail polish during their period since they don’t need to pray during those days. Yet many sisters will admit that they wish it would be somehow possible to wear nail polish at any time of the month. First, it is highly fashionable nowadays. Second, wearing nail polish usually indicates to another person that a sister is undergoing her period, which can be very embarrassing for others to know.. ow there is a solution. No, I’m not talking about wearing henna. Most scholars advise it as a substitute while failing to realize just how different henna is from nail polish in the world of fashion and beauty. The urge to wear nail polish on a regular basis has even led some sisters to wear a ‘peelable’ variety, which can be scraped off without any chemicals. But what if there was a nail polish that allowed the water to seep through? Good news. Inglot Cosmetics, a company from Poland, has released a new line of polish called O2M that it has labeled “breathable nail enamel”. It borrows a polymer used in some contact lenses that allows oxygen and moisture to penetrate to the nail. One sister wisely decided to call the company and was told that water vapor reaches the nail but not water in its liquid form. The question then arises about whether water vapor reaching the nail suffices for wudū’. Let’s look at the issue in detail.

44

HAYATIONLINE.COM

Reasoning Behind the Necessity of Washing There are several sisters who don’t know that nail polish prevents wudū’, and probably just as many who don’t care and will wear it anyways. But for those who do care, this analysis might help clarify things. Muslim scholars have analyzed the issue of impermeable substances in the following manner. This verse of the Qur’an prescribes the wudū’, “… wash your faces and your arms…” (Qur’an,5:6). The points that require investigation are: what is meant by ‘arms’ and what is meant by ‘wash’. Mention of the word ‘arms’ (which includes the hands linguistically in Arabic) indicates that every part must be washed and not a single spot should be left dry. Scholars arrived at this conclusion both through linguistic analysis as well as by analyzing reports from the Prophet saw (peace be upon him), which emphasize that the body parts must be washed thoroughly. From this they concluded that anything that prevents water from reaching any of these parts must be removed. For example, if someone had dried paint, dough, or wax on their hand while performing wudū’, the water would not permeate that substance and the hand would not have been properly washed. The same is true with nail polish which, when dried, forms a solid impermeable layer on the nails. This is why women are instructed to remove their nail polish when performing wudū’. Other substances that do not form an impermeable solid layer such as henna, oil, ink, and lotion are allowed due to the ability of water to penetrate through, especially when rubbing over the wet area. As to the definition of ‘washing’, it means that water flows over the surface of every body part which must be washed during wudū’. The bare minimum amount of water that must be used in order to suffice has been a matter of contention among scholars. Some stated that the part being

HAYATI

washed must drip off at least one drop of water. Other scholars held that water must have reached every area of that body part, but dripping off is not necessary. The important thing to realize is that these scholars were trying to precisely define a minimum point at which the body part in question has had water ‘flow’ over it. The first opinion did not imply that drops of water must drip from any particular area but rather from any area of one body part. For example, while washing the arm with the hand elevated above the elbow, it is likely that the water would drop off near the elbow area due to gravitational forces. For our case concerning the fingernails, this opinion (which is the stricter of the two) does not necessitate water having to drip off the fingernails. This makes sense because water usually drips from a small area when it has completely flowed over that region.Based on this difference of opinion concerning the definition of washing, scholars have differed concerning whether rubbing snow over the body parts suffices for wudū’ if no drops fall off. At first glance, it might appear to a student of Islamic Law that this example serves as a good analogy to apply to the issue of breathable nail polish. However, upon further inspection the analogy fails because the case of snow involves no drops falling whereas the case of the fingernails does involve drops falling, even if not from the nail area. Keeping this in mind, if the entire hand was immersed in water and water vapor permeated through to the nails, it would not matter whether or not an actual drop of water in its liquid form reached the nail. The entire hand is still considered washed since water reached every area.

A Test Case

BEAUTY

purple O2M on a coffee filter and allowed both to dry. She then placed another coffee filter below the painted one, squeezed two drops of water over the polish, and applied some pressure with her finger. After about ten seconds it was clear that the water was prevented from seeping through (even to the back side of the first filter) on the standard polish but clearly went through the O2M and even wet the second filter. This is sufficient to show that the claims made by the manufacturer are correct and water does indeed permeate through to the nail.

Conclusion It is imperative that issues such as the legitimacy of wearing breathable nail polish while performing wudū’ be properly researched both on the scientific level as well as the fiqhī (Islamic Law) level. It appears to me that there is a sound basis for believing the water seeps through to the nail when wearing O2M breathable nail polish. Perhaps not every brand that claims to be breathable meets this criteria and perhaps the nails need to be soaked in water for a few seconds. Nonetheless, the basis exists for permissibility. As for the questions concerning whether or not nail polish should be used by Muslim women in public, which colors may potentially cross the boundaries of modesty (hayā’), and whether these cosmetics are an extravagant use of one’s wealth are all beyond the scope of this article and not directly related to the issue at hand. Sisters must consider all those variables before using any cosmetics, but after they have done so, the research on breathable nail polish points to its permissibility.

One of my students decided to perform a test to see whether or not water actually seeped through when using the Inglot O2M nail polish. As a test case, she applied standard pink nail polish and

Let’s look at how to choose a few of these items. The key things to watch out for are the fabric and the finishing. Jeans for example are all about the right cut and fit, however in order to achieve an elegant and classy look, I advise you go for plain dark denim. Make sure that the denim is on the heavy side because lighter fabrics do not last as long. Take a look at the stitching to make sure it flawless with no lose ends. Jeans that are stretch or really tight fitting quickly fade in the areas where they crease, so bare 50

that in mind. Quality does not necessarily have to cost you an arm and a leg. I once bought a 100% cashmere sweater at Costco which cost me about $120 or so and which is far less than I would have paid if I had gone to Sacks or Bloomingdales. Another thing to keep in mind is that expensive does not always translate to quality either. I remember buying a shirt from AX and within a month the gems on the shirt were falling off and the logo was beginning to fade as well. When shopping, fabric material is everything. Read the labels; make sure the item is made of durable and lasting materials. Check the seams and

hems. Make sure everything is sewn on securely. When I’m not sure, I gently pull the fabric at the seams with both hands watching to make sure the thread does not unravel off. The more you shop with this mind set, the better the quality of the things you buy will be and in no time you will instinctively know how to pick and choose quality clothes out of a bunch. You will also begin to build a list of your favourite stores where you can trust to find quality wear. In no time you will notice that your wardrobe is lasting a lot longer and who knows you may keep something so long it turns into a vintage item down the line

From a degree in networking and computer systems to a full blown career as a professional photographer specialised in portraiture, this is the brief story of Aisha Dapchi, the women behind the lens. Edited by: Fatima Togbe

P

hotography is such a beautiful art. It captures moments in an instant and can last a life time. When I was younger, everyone took pictures with either a regular camera or a disposal one. It would take me weeks to go through a whole film and sometimes when I was really in a hurry to get my pictures, I would start taking pictures of any and everything just so I could finish up the film and have my pictures developed. If that was not long enough, you then had to wait another few days while

they printed your images; alhamdulillah for technology. Now our days almost every gadget is capable to taking pictures, and with social media, images are shared in the flash of an eye. One thing however that remains untouched is good photography. Even though you can apply filters on Instagram and Facebook to give your images the appearance of professional photographs, just like real and faux leather, you can always tell the difference. Aisha Dapchi is young mother, wife and photographer who I had to pleasure of meeting at an Islamic conference this year.

“I thank Allah SWT for all the blessings that I have” In our interview I asked whether she had always known that she wanted to go into photography and to my surprise, she told me that she didn’t. In fact, she actually wanted to pursue a career in either science or computers and ended up getting her first degree in networking and computer systems. She does confess that she has been interested in photography since she was younger and was blessed to be surrounded by a family who loved the art as well, but for the early part of her life it was more of a hobby. After she was done with her first degree, her inner passion for photography led her to take a few courses which she says immediately made her fall in love with the world of photography. She continued to nurture her talent and eventually decided to take on a degree course in visual communications with a major in photography. I was eager to ask her what inspires her to take pictures and capture moments and she told me that being a Muslim woman has a lot to do with who she is as a photographer and added that she is inspired by “anything and everything. The world around me, from the people, to the streets, nature, objects and every passing moment in time that most people neglect is a photograph. One of the main reasons why I love photography is because Allah SWT has blessed us with so much beauty in this world/life and I can express that through photography. I can communicate

stories that will help people see the beauty or pain or emotions through my pictures”. Aisha always tries to have some form of camera with her; either her DSLR, a small compact camera or her iPhone to ensure that she does not miss out on a precious moment. As a mother, Aisha confesses that sometimes she does have a natural urge to want to capture every moment in her 10 months old son’s life and that now she can take all the baby pictures she’s always been dreaming about taking. It was fitting that I also ask her whether she had the urge to take pictures during her wedding. If I were a professional photographer I would and I was glad to hear that she did indeed take a few shots during her wedding. However, since her younger sister Hauwa and her very good friend and namesake Aisha Augie-Kuta were her main photographers, she felt more at ease and trusted their talent and eye to capture the best. Aisha is specialised in portraiture which is very fitting of her love to photograph people, share their stories or simply just to learn about them. Other than photography, she does love to cook, read and do charity work. She also enjoys travelling to see the many cultures, cities and people, whom she says Allah swt has blessed us with. Her final words during our interview were these: “I am also a mother, a wife, a daughter and a photographer who lives and cherishes each day and I thank Allah SWT for all the blessings that I have”.

W

e all know Ash-Shams as being the name of a Surah in the Holy Quran meaning “The Sun and this is exactly what has inspired a this couple to name their abaya and hijab company Ash Shams. The company was founded in 2012 by a young couple

passionate about doing something rewarding for their deen. Their dream was to create a brand that is exclusive and unique for the Muslimahs of today. In our interview, they let us know that the process of choosing a name for their brand took a lot of time. They weighed many option, but none really conveyed the message they wanted their customers to get

HAYATI from their brand. However, one day they came across the Surah Ash-Shams and it just clicked. Ash Shams means ‘the Sun’ and the Sun always shines. The brand, Ash Shams, believes that a woman should also always shine in the eyes of Allah swt. By designing clothes and accessories which are within the limits of Islam, they want women to also shine on the outside and look pleasing to Allah swt. From the beginning, the inspiration for the brand was Islam. Ash Shams wanted to do something that they had a passion for and Islam is their passion. They also wanted the capture the fact that society is ever changing and the role of women has also changed. They believe that Islam liberates women and holds them in high regard; so women should not have to compromise their way of life for the duniya. This is where Ash Shams comes in. They are here to provide clothing which grasps the concept of modesty and at the same time offers a modern and sophisticated twist. Ash Shams which just launched their website and online catalogue a few days ago on the 27th of February, tell us that they are “planning to release one collection per season Insha’Allah, with each collection having an original theme”. As browsed through their online catalogue, I noticed that their designs were very elegant and seem to be a mix of day and evening wear. In our interview, Ash Shams lets us know that customers should expect a range of “traditional black abayas, which are an essential in every Muslimahs wardrobe, to beautiful evening abayas, perfect for a special occasion”.

FEATURE

In one of their advertisement posters, there is a lovely woman dressed with a niqab. I was eager to ask Ash Shams whether they would be catering to Niqabis as well (since it is a highly untapped market and they many find it hard to style their niqab). They let us know that they aspire to cater to all Muslimahs and that soon to come in their summer collection will be face coverings. I applaud their work and wish them success, insha’Allah. Although the founder are not the ones actually designing the clothes, they are very involved in the process by investing their time and effort into researching what Muslim women want and gathering ideas which are then discussed with their design team who create the sketch for the products. When asked what their favourite accessory is from their line they immediately said the Ruby Red hijab pin which is available in their online store. Finally on a ending note they have a little advice for you. “The Muslimahs of today are so independent and strong minded alhamdulillah and our advice is to be confident and comfortable in your own skin as this will reflect on the outside. And to remember that it doesn’t matter what people think of you because in the end it is Allah’s swt pleasure that we are aiming to seek, so we should always reflect and purify our intentions to meet this goal Insha’Allah”.
