Season highlishts
Welcome to the Hazlitt Theatre’s new Summer Season. We hope that you have all enjoyed a great start to the year and looking forward to the warmer months coming and combining those longer nights with a trip to The Hazlitt Theatre. The summer season for 2020 is showing a good mix of programme with productions ranging from ballet to Cannon and Ball and an outdoor Shakespeare to Kylie (Well not the actual Kylie but a damn good tribute to her). For our comedy lovers amongst you we are pleased to be welcoming such acts as the very popular Seann Walsh, Matt Forde, Rich Hall, Andy Parsons, Scummy Mummy, Noise Next Door and for some naughty nostalgia, Basil Brush is back at the theatre but with his adult only show! And talking of comedy, the Hazlitt Theatre will be continuing hosting ‘Live Nation Comedy Nights’ where several top acts can be seen in just one night. Music fanatics will be pleased to see we have a great night planned for all those who grew up in the 80's when DS:UK In Tribute to Dire Straits - The Brothers in 85 Tour takes to the stage and hopefully take you back. We complement this selection with some great Tribute Acts by way of Both Sides of Phil Collins, Beach Boys Smile, The Cher Songbook and The Sound of Springsteen.
And for the younger ones there will be a version of The Adventures of Bo Peep and The Princess and the Pea. For those that want to go on stage the summer season will see the Panto auditions take place and the Youth Theatre Department will be opening the doors in August for its annual Summer Festival with events for children aged 6 - 18 throughout the week commencing 10th August. For those that need that good old fashioned hit of theatre, we have new performances titled Jekyll & Hyde - The Comedy Version, Harpy with Su Pollard and The Handlebards are back at Cobtree Park with The Comedy of Errors. And to top it all off we’ve only got Francis Rossi in the building sharing his stories and getting up close and personal. From young to old, whether it's watching a performance or being in one, the Hazlitt Summer Season certainly does have something for everyone!

HIRE
Love of music, vocal harmony and Brian Wilson's composition are what brings five young and incredibly talented musicians together to form Beach Boys Smile (aka BBS). Their roots can be traced as far back as the 80s when three brothers sang along to the classic surf tunes of the Beach Boys in the car on their way to the sunny beach, radio cranked up high! Every time BBS put on a show, all these memories flood back and put a smile on audiences faces the world over. Sat 29th Aug 7:30pm, Theatre, Genre: Music Tickets: £23.50
