The Lincoln Business Builder is sent to all members of the HBAL. The Home Builders Association does not accept responsibility for or endorse any statements or claims made by advertisers or authors of any articles.

When I began my presidency last year, I thought it would go a bit different than how it turned out. This year has been a time of uncertainty and has required all of us to learn the art of being flexible. Events were planned, rescheduled, replanned and even canceled. Meetings were moved to Zoom. I don’t know if anybody else is excited for the day we can get rid of Zoom meetings and go back to good old-fashioned face-to-face meetings. What we thought was a pandemic which would be over this summer has continued into the new year. I could not have kept up with all the continuous changes without the incredible hard work of Michaela, Jennie, Laure and Andrea. You are the foundation of HBAL that keeps all of us going. I appreciate all of your work this past year with being flexible, rescheduling and replanning our events to help keep everyone safe. HBAL would crumble without you. As I sign off as your President of HBAL I would like to remind everyone to keep your focus on the future. This year I have witnessed great leadership from members of the HBAL community which gives me hope HBAL will continue to grow and thrive. I am grateful for my time as president and look forward to seeing what the future of HBAL holds.

Happy New Year and welcome to 2021! I hope your holidays were happy and everyone stayed healthy. I can’t say I’m sad to see 2020 end. Here’s to a better year in 2021. The Remodelers Council Sue Eaton December meeting Remodelers Council went virtual due to Chairperson size restrictions on gatherings. We had a great time playing trivia. Congratulations to Pam and Shelbie with Reynolds Design & Remodeling on winning our trivia game. Thank you to Jennie Korth for coming up with some good questions. I would also like to thank Heidi Polacek with Lincoln Cabinet for serving as our 2020 Chairperson. The Remodelers Council has decided to forgo our January meeting. Join us for our first meeting of the year on February 24. We will be touring the finished Post Lofts. We originally toured this space last March during the remodeling stage. It will be exciting to see how they have changed. There will not be a March meeting as the Home and Garden Show has been moved to March 12-14.
