2011 Legislative Conference

We had a very productive Legislative Conference in Raleigh on June 7 & 8. The House and Senate completed their busy work schedule before the self-imposed “crossover” deadline passed. Both the House and Senate considered hundreds of bills and we can proudly report that all of our legislative priorities are well positioned. The governmental affairs are key to our housing industry to track and to ensure legislation supports residential construction. Thank you to our members who traveled to Raleigh for our Legislative reception and visits. A good state wide turn out attended the reception on Tuesday night and it was great to have our members walking the halls of the legislative buildings! It was interesting to see where our elected officials office had moved to. The new majority came out all right with their new office locations. More photos page 10
