Centro de todas las miradas Sotogrande cuenta con varios pilares fundamentales en los que construye su cultura, presencia, forma de vivir y exponente al exterior. De sobra es conocido por todos las gran relevancia a nivel mundial que alcanza el mes de agosto la zona con la celebración del Torneo Internacional de Polo en Santa María Polo Club y por supuesto, contar en la zona con varios de los mejores campos de golf de Europa, hacen que el deporte sea mucho más que ocio en desarrollo económico de la zona. Por todo lo que conlleva.

Pero por supuesto, y con ese perfil inspirado en el deporte que caracteriza a Sotogrande, situada a la orilla del Mar Mediterráneo, el agua y su dimensión en el mundo de la vela no pueden ni se quedan atrás. Vivimos un año apasionante en Sotogrande en cuanto al mundo de las regatas se refiere, con un gran volumen de actividades y unas cuantas citas claves en el calendario de la vela nacional e internacional.

Si bien a principios de verano, disfrutó la zona de un primer plato como fue la celebración de la Sotogrande Cup de RC44, un evento de escala internacional que como tal, obtuvo una gran difusión y repercusión en medios especializados de todo el mundo, además de numerosos aspectos económico-sociales en la zona, el mes de agosto dispuso de otra gran cita.

La XV edición de la tradicional regata de Sotogrande, un evento clásico de los agosto de Sotogrande que cada año trata de superarse e ir a más, fue un nuevo éxito en participación y competición, con muchas de las categorías abiertas hasta la última manga. Pese a una primera jornada fallida por el viento y niebla, las dos restantes puro espectáculo en las aguas de Sotogrande.

Con dos platos de excepción, la guinda no podía ser menos con la celebración del Campeonato de España de J80 del 3 al 6 de septiembre. Esta categoría, con mucha afición en la zona (durante el resto del año se celebra el Circuito NH Resort de esta categoría en Sotogrande), coloca de nuevo a este rincón en el gran escaparate de la vela nacional. Recordar que en 2016 Sotogrande acogerá el Campeonato del Mundo de dicha categoría.

Todo un lujo el nivel de la vela.

Y por supuesto, agradecer su confianza durante todo el verano en Grupo HCP y sus diferentes cabeceras para estar informado de todo lo ocurrido en Sotogrande. Durante el año seguiremos al pie del cañón igualmente. Y un consejo: no se pierdan la gran final de la Copa de Oro este sábado, punto cumbre del polo en Sotogrande.

Sotogrande waters Sotogrande has several cornerstones on which it builds its culture, presence, way of life and outward image. Early in the summer the area enjoyed an appetiser in the form of the RC44 Sotogrande Cup, an international event that received wide publicity in the specialised media around the world, as well as bringing numerous socio-economic benefits for the area, and in August another big event was held.

The 15th Sotogrande Regatta, a classic August event in

Sotogrande that gets better and better every year, was once again a resounding success in terms of turnout and the competition, with many of the categories wide open until the last race.

Despite a first day affected by wind and fog, the two remaining days delivered some great entertainment on Sotogrande's waters.

With two exceptional occasions, the programme will come to the perfect end with the Spanish J80 Championships from 3 to 6 September. This class, with a great following in the area (during the rest of the year the NH Resorts League is held in this class in Sotogrande), will once again make this destination a showcase for Spanish sailing. In 2016 Sotogrande will host the World Championships in the class.

Carta del director Una temporada inolvidable Han sido muchos años, más de siete, viviendo una situación permanente de crisis, donde los negocios, los empleos, la estabilidad económica de las familias y empresas han sufrido de lo lindo para mantenerse a flote. Es obvio que se precisaba de un soplo de aire fresco que nos indicase que esto cambió, y para ello que mejor que disfrutar de una gran temporada veraniega, donde la fluencia de visitantes y su correspondiente consumo ha demostrado que estamos en signo ascendente. Y qué mejor para ello que actuar con sensatez, y mostrar lo mejor de cada uno de nosotros hacia nuestros ilustres visitantes. Y permítanme algún matiz, ser sensato es ofrecer calidad de servicios, lo mejor de cada despensa y a ser posible, a los mejores precios. Y esto es extrapolable a cualquier sector, porque tantos meses anhelando un contrato de servicios, una opción de venta de una Villa o simplemente un trabajo, se debe traducir en la mejor sonrisa y el mayor esfuerzo para satisfacer a nuestros potenciales clientes. Basta de meter la pata. Y créanme, este año nuevamente se ha fallado en algunos detalles, y lo digo porque me lo han contado en más de una ocasión a pie de barra o paseando por la playa. "No se debe abusar, nos cobraron muy caro y nos sirvieron mal en tal lugar..." Esta frase la he tenido que soportar y a alguno le dije que al menos, desde este medio, nos comprometemos a denunciar los "súper agosto" que pretenden llevar a cabo en algún comercio o negocio. Estas no son formas de crecer y volver a tiempos mejores. Ahora toca ser profesionales al máximo exponente. Y por suerte, cuando estoy escribiendo esta carta editorial, me encuentro a miles de kilómetros de Sotogrande disfrutando de unos días de descanso en familia y he podido comprobar como el nivel de servicio en nuestra zona es de calidad en líneas generales, por lo que no nos viene nada bien que algunos se salten a la torera las reglas del juego del turismo de calidad que todos deseamos y proponemos.

Entramos en la recta final de agosto, es más, este medio que tiene entre sus manos, lleva en la mancheta de portada la fecha del uno de septiembre, porque la vuelta al colegio y

al trabajo es cuestión de horas. La salvedad de lo lúdico deportivo lo representa uno de los acontecimientos más emblemático de la temporada, la gran final de la Copa de Oro de polo, que previsiblemente será como una réplica parcial de las últimas finales de Palermo, La Dolfina vs Ellerstina, en este caso, y si a pocas horas de las semifinales no me equivoco, Valiente y Ellerston, disputarán una de las mejores finales de los últimos años con un enfrentamiento directo entre los dos mejores jugadores del mundo, Adolfo Cambiaso y Facundo Pieres.

Siguen con los problemas de aparcamientos, las playas se saturan con más coches en ocasiones sobre la arena que visitantes, en fin, si estamos a unos meses de nuevas elecciones municipales, se podía haber hecho algo más por las zonas que generan riquezas, y menos brindis al sol y salir en las fotos de las fiestas del pueblo y los eventos que organizan las empresas privadas. ¡Que manera de hacer pueblos!

An unforgettable season For many years, more than seven, we have been living a continuous state of recession, in which businesses, jobs, the economic stability of families and companies have greatly suffered to keep themselves afloat. It is obvious that a breath of fresh air was badly needed to show us that change was imminent, and for this, what better than having a great summer season, during which the flow of visitors and their corresponding spending have shown us that we are in an upward trend. And what better than acting sensibly, showing the very best of each one of us towards our illustrious visitors.

And let me just clarify this a little further: being sensible means offering quality of service, the best from the pantry, and if possible, at the best prices. And this can be extrapolated to any sector, because after so many months of wishing for a services contract, a sales option for a villa or simply a job, this should be interpreted through our best smile and our best efforts to satisfy our potential customers. No more putting our foot it in. And believe me, this year we have still been lacking in some details, and this I say because comments have reached me on more than one occasion while standing at the bar or strolling along the beach. "We were given high prices and poor service in such and such place. People shouldn’t take advantage..." I have had to put up with hearing this phrase and to some I have replied that through this medium, at least, we promise to denounce those who go for abusive overcharging in their shop or business.

This is not the way to grow and return to better times. Now we have to display the epitome of professionalism. And fortunately, while writing this editorial, I am thousands of kilometres away from Sotogrande making the most of a few days relaxing with the family and I have been able to see how the level of service in our area meets the general levels of quality, so it is definitely not to our advantage that some people flout the rules of quality tourism that all of us desire and propose.

August is now coming to a close, and in fact, the front cover of this publication that you are reading bears the date of the first of September, because the start of the school year and the return to work are just a few hours away. The exception provided by sport and entertainment is represented by one of the most emblematic events of the season, the final of the polo Gold Cup, which we anticipate will be a partial replica of the last final in Palermo, La Dolfina vs Ellerstina, although in this case and just a few hours from the semi-finals, if I am not mistaken, Valiente and Ellerston will dispute one of the best finals of the last few years, with a direct confrontation between the two best players in the world, Adolfo Cambiaso and Facundo Pieres.

Turning to other issues, the years pass and the local administrations are incapable or have no idea of how to look after a quality tourism resort such as we have here, the parking problems continue, the beaches become saturated, sometimes with more cars on the sand than people, and in short, if we are just a few months away from local elections, something more could have been done for the areas that generate revenue, and less toasting and appearing in photos of parties and events organised by private establishments. What a way of supporting the town!

Cada fin de semana, cuando mayor se hace la afluencia de personas y usuarios a las zonas de costa del Valle del Guadiaro (playas, Puerto Sotogrande, Mercadillo…) vuelve a aparecer la problemática de las zonas de estacionamiento de vehículos que en días y fechas claves, como es sin duda el verano, son insuficientes para dar cobertura a la demanda de visitantes.

La capacidad de las zonas de

aparcamiento para vehículos destinadas en la zona de Torreguadiaro (aparcamientos de la playa, zona del cuartel junto a los dos torres y Avenida Mar del Sur más algunas zonas habilitadas tras la quita de guardarríles) continúan sin contar con la capacidad necesaria para la gran demanda. Ello, da lugar a estampas como la de estas imágenes cada fin de semana de vehículos estacionados a la entrada del Puerto Deportivo

y en otras zonas ajardinadas.

Con todo las consecuencias que conlleva…menos afluencia a los negocios, incomodidad, multas de aparcamiento, etc.

Every weekend, when the influx of people grows in the coastal areas of the Guadiaro Valley (beaches, Sotogrande Marina, street market...) the problems with the parking areas at key times of year, like the summer, re-emerges, with insufficient spaces to meet the demand among visitors.

The capacity of the parking areas for vehicles in the Torreguadiaro area (beach

parking, barracks area near the two towers and Avenida Mar del Sur, plus a few areas since the barriers were removed) is still insufficient for the high demand. This leads to images like these each weekend of vehicles parked at the entrance to the Marina and other landscaped areas.

This has many consequences: less traffic for businesses, inconvenience, parking fines, etc.

Destacan los 14 rescates en Torreguadiaro y Playa Sotogrande durante el puente de agosto

Protección Civil realiza casi 500 actuaciones en las playas de la zona durante este verano

El personal de Protección Civil realizó 477 actuaciones en el litoral de la zona desde que comenzase la temporada de playas, el 22 de junio. Destacan las llevadas a cabo en el puente de agosto, cuando el temporal de levante ocasionó numerosos problemas, hasta el punto de que varios voluntarios tuvieron que ser atendidos tras rescatar a bañistas que imprudentemente se habían introducido en el agua a pesar de ondear la bandera roja.

En concreto, entre los días 16 y 18 de agosto y ondeando la bandera roja, hubo que realizar siete rescates en la playa de Puerto de Sotogrande, y otros siete en la de Torreguadiaro. Estas cifras suponen más de la mitad de los rescates realizados en la primera playa durante todo el verano (un total de diez) y más de un tercio de los llevados a cabo en

Torreguadiaro (19 en total).

El informe de Protección Civil referente al periodo comprendido entre el 22 de junio y el 20 de agosto, se han realizado 43 rescates, 16 traslados en ambulancia, 364 asistencias sanitarias, se han atendido 31 picaduras y se han recuperado a 23 menores.

Por playas, en AlcaidesaTorrecarbonera se registraron dos rescates, dos traslados, 25 asistencias sanitarias, dos atenciones por picaduras y tres menores recuperados; en Cala Sardina no hubo traslados en ambulancia, pero sí dos rescates, 28 asistencias, cuatro picaduras y dos menores; en Puerto Sotogrande, diez rescates, tres traslados, 20 asistencias sanitarias, una picadura y seis menores; en Sotogrande, dos rescates, doce asistencias, dos picaduras y un menor, sin producirse traslados; y en Torreguadiaro, 19 res-

cates, cinco traslados, 62 asistencias sanitarias, seis picaduras y cinco menores recuperados.

El dispositivo de socorrismo y salvamento organizado por Protección Civil de San Roque cuenta con los siguientes medios humanos y técnicos: 60 socorristas, a los que se unen ocho jefes de playa; 14 enfermeros; ocho tornos de rescate (aparatos para sacar a los bañistas del agua cuando las corrientes lo ponen difícil); tres embarcaciones; tres ambulancias; dos kayaks; un todoterreno; y un servicio de vigilantes de Medio Ambiente.

The Civil Defence personnel have performed 477 actions on the local coast since the bathing season started on 22 June. Over the August public holiday, when the easterly storm caused numerous problems, several volunteers has to be attended to after rescuing swimmers who had imprudently gone in the water despite the red flag flying.

From 16 to 18 August, with the red flag flying, seven rescues had to be carried out on the Puerto de Sotogrande Beach, and another seven in Torreguadiaro. Torrecarbonera there were 2 rescues, 2 transfers, 25 cases requiring medical assistance, 2 stings and 3 minors retrieved; at Cala Sardina there were no ambulance transfers, but there were 2 rescues, 28 cases requiring assistance, 4 stings and 2 minors retrieved; at Puerto Sotogrande, 10 rescues, 20 requiring medical assistance, 1 sting and 6 minors; in Sotogrande, 2 rescues, 12 medical assistance, 2 stings and 1 minor, with no transfers; and in Torreguadiaro, 19 rescues, 5 transfers, 62 medical incidents, 6 stings and 5 minors retrieved.

The life-saving and rescue deployment organised by the Civil Defence Organisation has the following human and technical resources: 60 lifeguards, including eight beach managers; 14 nurses; 8 rescue winches (devices for pulling bathers out of the water when currents make it difficult); 3 boats; 3 ambulances; 2 kayaks; a 4x4; and an environmental surveillance service.

La Urbanización Playa de Sotogrande, uno de los propulsores de los espigones En la última edición de El Periódico de Sotogrande, en la entrevista realizada a Ramón Luengo, director general de Sotogrande SA, se repasaba el estado de la obra de los espigones en la Playa de Sotogrande. Además de que la propia Sotogrande SA forma parte de los propulsores del proyecto, cuenta con la colaboración de la Entidad Urbanística Parques de Sotogrande y de la Urbanización Playa de Sotogrande. Aclarar de esta forma que figuraba el nombre de Comunidad de Apartamientos Playa cuando realmente la referencia a la que hacer mención se trataba de la Urbanización Playa de Sotogrande.

La Asamblea General de la EUC Parques de Sotogrande aprueba el presupuesto para 2015 EL pasado día 13 de agosto se celebró la Asamblea General Ordinaria de la EUC Parques de Sotogrande en el salón de actos del Real Club de Golf Sotogrande con una amplia asistencia.

Como en ediciones anteriores, el Presidente y el equipo directivo de la Entidad, expusieron a todos los asistentes los principales asuntos marcados en el orden del día, y dieron respuesta a las preguntas y consultas planteadas durante la Asamblea.

Durante la misma, se adoptaron acuerdos por unanimidad en los asuntos declarados en el orden del día (aprobación de las cuentas anuales del ejercicio 2013 y presupuesto para el ejercicio 2015, liquidación de deudores y actuaciones contra los morosos).

De especial interés fue la exposición de asuntos relacionados con la urbanización como: • Trabajos en materias de Seguridad, mantenimiento y jar-

dinería. Con una amplia explicación de las principales actuaciones realizadas en el servicio de seguridad; la mejora de viales asfaltados; red contra incendios; señalización viaria; actuaciones

en zonas verdes y podas realizadas.

• La playa de Sotogrande. Donde se informó que en el mes de julio se han iniciado los traba-

jos, por parte del Ayuntamiento de San Roque, para la regeneración de la playa, mediante la construcción del espigón SUR situado junto a la zona de la Depuradora. A fecha de la Asamblea, las obras de este espigón estaban prácticamente finalizadas. Posteriormente se procederá al aporte de arena y a la ejecución del espigón NORTE está prevista para la primavera del próximo año 2015.

Tras el oportuno turno de ruegos y preguntas, donde el equipo de gerencia tomó nota de solicitudes de varios vecinos, la Asamblea concluyó tras dos horas de duración, agradeciendo el Presidente de la Entidad a todos los presentes su participación y confianza mostrada con el Consejo Rector.

EUC Sotogrande Parks General Assembly approves 2015 budget The EUC Sotogrande Parks Ordinary General Assembly took place on 13 August at the assembly hall of Royal Sotogrande Golf Club, with a strong attendance.

As in previous years, the President and management team of the Entity set forth to all attendees the main orders of business, and answered questions and queries raised during

the assembly.

During the assembly, resolutions were unanimously agreed upon for the matters stated in the agenda (approval of the annual accounts for the 2013 fiscal year, and the budget for the 2015 fiscal year; liquidation proceedings against debtors and actions against defaulters).

Of particular interest was the discussion of matters related to

the resort, such as: - Projects in terms of security, maintenance and gardening.

An extensive explanation of the main steps being taken for the security service; paving improvement works; fire prevention network; traffic signs; completed works in green areas and pruning.

- Sotogrande beach. It was reported that in the month of July work commenced, by San Roque Town Council, on improvements to the beach, through the construction of the south breakwater situated near the treatment plant. When the Assembly took place, these works were almost complete.

La película “El Niño” se estrena en los cines el viernes 29 de agosto xz M. G.

La pelíclula “El Niño”, la nueva apuesta de Telecino Cinema se estrena el próximo 29 de agosto. Recordar que su rodaje se efectuó en su mayoría en el entorno del Campo de Gibraltar y en particular en varios de los momentos en Sotogrande, concretamente el Puerto Deportivo y varias avenidas de la urbanización.

Además, su rodaje motivó

algunas quejas y revuelo por parte de vecinos de Sotogrande de que se vieran imágenes del enclave en una cinta relacionada con el tráfico de drogas.

“El Niño” reúne a dos grandes de la gran pantalla, como son el director Daniel Monzón y el actor Luis Tosar, que ya triunfaron como pareja cinematográfica en “Celda 211″.

Recordar que dicho largometraje les supuso la conquista de ganadora de ocho Premios Goya, incluyendo mejor película, mejor actor y mejor director, para estos dos protagonistas.

El rodaje de la película tuvo una gran repercusión en los medios comarcales la primavera del pasado 2013.

Poco más que el susto. El incendio de una freidora en la cocina del Hotel Sotogrande motivó el desalojo por unas horas, por precaución, de unas 140 personas que ocupaban las habitaciones más cercanas a la cocina. El hecho, que se produjo pasadas las 7 de la tarde del pasado lunes, 25 de agosto, fue controlado antes de las diez de la noche por los 10 efectivos del cuerpo de Bomberos de San Roque y Algeciras que se desplazaron hasta el lugar.

Fueron necesarios dos extinto-

res de CO2 y un turboventilador.

El incidente provocó que por precaución unas 140 personas fueran desalojadas de sus habitaciones aunque el fuego se controló con rapidez. Aunque la demora para que las personas pudiesen acceder de nuevo a sus habitaciones fue más bien motivada por la espera a que se despejase de humos la zona afectada, para la que se necesitó la actuación de los bomberos con un turboventilador.

Little more than a fright. The fire in a fryer in the Hotel Sotogrande kitchen led to the evacuation of around 140 people (those with room near the kitchen) for a few hours, as a precaution. The incident, which took place just after 7 pm on Monday 25 August, was under control before 10 pm thanks to 10 fire fighters from San Roque and Algeciras who attended the scene. Two CO2 extinguishers and a turbofan were needed.

The incident meant that, as a

precaution, around 140 people were evacuated from their rooms, though the fire was quickly controlled. The delay to the people returning to their rooms was mostly due to having to wait for the smoke to clear from the affected area, for which the fire fighters used a turbofan.

Un estudio deTurismo de la Junta de Andalucía eleva la calidad del sector y su gran atractivo cara al exterior

El sector del golf en la zona genera cerca de 40 millones de euros durante el pasado curso xz Redacción/M.G.

El sector del golf en el municipio de San Roque representó unos 20 millones de euros durante el pasado curso deen 2013, si bien habría que añadir a esta cantidad los ingresos indirectos que estos turistas de alto nivel adquisitivo provocan en sectores como la hostelería.

Según un estudio de la Junta de Andalucía, el golf dejó en la Comunidad Autónoma unos 500 millones de euros durante el año pasado, de manera que lo generado en el término municipal de San Roque de manera directa e indirecta superaría los 40 millones de euros.

El alcalde, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, y la teniente de alcalde delegada de Turismo, Dolores Marchena, presentaron los datos de este estudio de la Junta en relación con otro elaborado desde el Consistorioo consultando a los mismos clubes del municipio.

Según el estudio de la Consejería de Turismo de la Junta de Andalucía, durante 2013 la comunidad recibió 452.000 turistas que tenían como principal motivación la práctica del golf, lo que supone un incremento del 5,4% respecto al año anterior. En base a esta cifra, la cantidad correspondiente a San Roque sería de unos 45.000 turistas.

xz El golf supone uno de los grandes pilares económicos de la zona, con los torneos comercioales y el turismo de lujo vinculado al deporte.

Con un gasto aproximado de 500 millones de euros en toda Andalucía, por lo que a “grosso modo” la cifra correspondiente a San Roque sería de 41,5 millones. Aunque esta cifra podría ser mayor teniendo en cuenta la demanda y calidad de los campos de la zona. Este visitante se caracteriza, según el citado estudio, por una estancia media de 12,8 días, gastando más 86 euros al día. Este segmento repercute en otros como la restauración y las compras.

Destaca que el 66% de los turistas encuestados para este

estudio señalan que su única motivación para visitar Andalucía es la práctica del golf. Durante su estancia en la región recorren tres campos distintos de media, y dan una nota alta al destino turístico andaluz: un 8,8 sobre 10 puntos.

En cuanto a la mejora del negocio prevista para este año se estima que este incremento será mínimo, de entre el 1% y el 3%, pero otros clubes hablan incluso de una subida de hasta el 15%. Respecto al comportamiento de los clientes de los clubes, el número de

salidas registradas en 2013 se sitúa en una media de 40.000, si bien se llega en algún caso a las 64.000. Aunque hay que tener en cuenta que los socios pueden hacer unas 30 salidas al año, los visitantes suelen hacer una. Eso sí, es práctica habtitual que los turistas

durante su estancia jueguen en varios campos. Respecto a las nacionalidades de los clientes de los clubes, la teniente de alcalde destacó que se habla de un total de 27 países de todo el mundo, si bien predominan los europeos, en especial los británicos.

El edil del Valle del Guadiaro, Juan Roca (PIVG), atiende a El Periódico de Sotogrande para valorar, a menos de un año de una nueva cita de elecciones municipales en San Roque, la marcha del verano y un balance de lo que ha supuesto la actividad del partido del Valle del Guadiaro en el equipo de gobierno municipal y los hitos más destacados. Una cara amable en la zona que razonadamente centra esfuerzos en el desarrollo y crecimiento del Valle del Guadiaro.

La clave de los éxitos de un gobierno llega por mirar con lupa el gasto público; esto te permite llevar a cabo más actuaciones y con más sensatez. Este tema se quedó en una anécdota. ¿Creyó que tras la renuncia de Manuel Melero y la crisis en el PA podía dejarles en minoría?

Fue todo muy rápido y la actuación política del alcalde, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, en este sentido fue impecable. Luego llegó Pilar Núñez, que está haciendo un buen trabajo, y trajo igual de rápido la normalidad. entrada de Puerto Sotogrande, ¿un nuevo éxito?

Su éxito se debe a que se ubica en una situación clave. El pasado año logró doblar la actividad y consultas de registros anteriores; este año marcha por el mismo camino. ¿Cómo valora el mantenimiento de las playas?

Se logró comenzar los trabajos de limpieza con antelación, algo que hemos corregido con respecto al pasado año y eso facilita muchos las cosas. Los trabajadores municipales, en colaboración con el personal estacional del Plan de Choque han realizado un trabajo excepcional y no son pocos los vecinos que lo han reconocido.

Además, se ha incidido mucho en actividades para niños de concienciación en materia de limpieza y cuidado del medio ambiente. La playa es de todos y es responsabilidad también de los usuarios colaborar con su buen estado. ¿Es el Polideportivo de Pueblo Nuevo el buque insignia en inversiones de este mandato?

Completamente sí. Era un proyecto necesario y que tendría que haberse ejecutado hace diez años al menos pero eso ya es agua pasada y se trata de una gran noticia que se encuentre en su última fase. Logra poner fin a una gran demanda en la zona y estamos convencidos de que invertir en deporte es invertir en salud. La segunda fase si me preocupa algo más. La urbanización y adecentamiento del acceso requiero un esfuerzo por parte de las arcas municipales [el coste ronda los 450.000

euros] y no podemos dejar que se quede aparcado. El objetivo es que todo esté a pleno rendimiento para la próxima primavera. Es una cuestión capital para este equipo de gobierno y trabajamos en encontrar la mejor solución.

Se plantea una intensa carrera política hasta las próximas elecciones municipales, ¿qué papel jugará el PIVG? ¿No cierra puertas al diálogo con nadie? ¿Y la aparición de Marina García como candidata del PP cree que será un golpe de efecto?

¿El Polideportivo y el Centro Medico son los dos mayores logros del mandato?

El PIVG no se cierra puertas con nadie.

Somos un partido pequeño que va creciendo y nos estamos consolidando como una fuerza seria. Tuvimos una buena experiencia durante dos años con el Partido Popular y la actual con el PSOE también está siendo positiva. Lo más importante es un buen trabajo en conjunto y el respeto a unas opiniones y otras, mientras esto se mantenga, el diálogo es posible con todo el mundo. Y en el caso de Marina García, tengo muy buen concepto de ella tanto en su perfil personal como político y en lo referente a la alianza de USR y PP, ya veremos como sale. Sin duda, existen valoraciones positivas y

Protagonizan el balance positivo en materia de infraestructuras. Así se atiende a los dos grandes proyectos para la zona y dotan de un importante perfil de servicio social para los vecinos del Valle del Guadiaro. El Centro Médico de San Enrique es referencia tanto material como de personal y logra atender unas necesidades muy importantes para los residentes. Y sí, me siento muy orgulloso de la consecución de estos dos proyectos.

La remodelación de la gasolinera de Torreguadiaro contemplaba una serie de mejoras en al vía de servicio que aún no han comenzado...

Cuenta con mejoras en las dos vías de servicio por parte de Cepsa. La ejecución permanecía a la espera de unos permisos de la Junta de Andalucía y debería comenzar a realizarse en el plazo de unas semanas. ¿Cómo valora el pacto de gobierno de estos años con el PSOE y PA? La ampliación presupuestaria para los campos de fútbol, parecía uno de los pocos puntos de desacuerdo durante el pacto de mandato.

La experiencia estos años con nuestros socios de gobierno ha sido y es muy positiva. Se han tratado de hacer cosas y se han conseguido muchas de ellas. Y sí, es cier-

negativas a ello. Ya comprobaremos el resultado.

El PIVG se ha mostrado crítico con ciertas decisiones administrativas y presupuestarias de Mancomunidad y de Arcgisa, especialmente por los gastos políticos...

Arcgisa lleva a cabo un buen servicio y cuenta con una larga cartera de profesionales que realizan a la perfección su trabajo. El problema viene de la mano del encarecimiento de ciertas partidas a causa del gasto de los sueldos políticos de la entidad. Algo a lo que nos oponemos. Pero en lo que se refiere a la labor de los profesionales de Arcgisa, todo lo contrario, hacen una gran labor. ¿La nueva Tenencia de Alcaldía de Pueblo Nuevo logrará ofrecer al ciudadano servicios administrativos sin tener que desplazarse al casco de San Roque? ¿Cual será el siguiente paso en el Valle del Guadiaro?

El sentido de abrir la nueva Tenencia de Alcaldía en Pueblo Nuevo es ofrecer un servicio diferente al que ya se realizan en las otras alcaldías del Valle del Guadiaro.

El propósito es poder mantener abiertas estas oficinas y desde la de Pueblo Nuevo, una zona neutra y accesible, lograr realizar una serie de servicios (administrativos, de urbanismo,...) que eviten al vecino tener que desplazarse hasta San Roque casco, en caso contrario no tendría sentido hacer lo mismo que ya se viene realizando en las diferentes alcaldías. Es un paso a dar y que trabajamos en ello.

"The key to success for this government is to look closely at municipal spending" Valle del Guadiaro councillor Juan Roca (PIVG), speaks to El Peri贸dico de Sotogrande to assess, less than a year away from the next municipal elections in San Roque, the progress of summer, and examine party activity in Valle del Guadiaro for the local government and its biggest milestones. A friendly face in the area that sensibly focuses its efforts on the development and growth of Valle del Guadiaro.

- Valle del Guadiaro is this year once again a leader in the summer season...

As ever, polo stands as one of our greatest attractions and strengths. For yet another year, Santa Mar铆a Polo Club has raised the bar here, hosting an international event that echoes far beyond our borders. It's even gone a step further, as all signs indicate that some teams could stay in the area over winter, all helping the area to become a great year-round equestrian destination. And of course, golf is not far behind. It's the 'king of sports' in this region, and attracts players from around the world, as well as a high volume of luxury tourism connected with the sport.

- Early statistics indicate a good level of hotel occupancy and a widespread opinion that it has been an excellent summer for the area.

It's more than certain that 2013 records will be beaten. The outlook is very positive, with a high number of tourists and visitors. People have found that on beaches, beach bars, terraces, bars, shops... that there's been non-stop activity throughout the whole summer, and if the weather is good, we'll still have the month of September, which can also be very competitive for the service industry.

And looking at the different events and celebrations in the area, they've been more 'generous' than in previous years, with a high volume of activities and events that add to the value of the area and serve as attractions.

- In terms of infrastructure, parking around the beach area continues to be the 'king' of all complaints. Is there a real solution for this problem?

Parking is a real concern. In the case of Torreguadiaro, for example, the number of people it attracts is incredible, it's one of the busiest spots of the summer season. The parking issue is something that undoubtedly detracts from this. We have already managed to add the area by the former barracks with capacity for 50 cars [the next step we hope will be to buy the premises], but there is still not enough space. We're working on different options, but we have to find a definitive and secure solution, which will entail

getting the proper infrastructure. There are a great number of restaurants, and making customers' and visitors' lives comfortable and easy is the priority.

- The Tourist Information Point at the entrance to Sotogrande Marina, a new success?

Its success is due to the fact that it's located in a key spot. Last year we managed to double activity and enquiries compared to previous records - this year we're on the same track.

- What about maintenance of the beaches?

Clean-up efforts have managed to begin early, something we've corrected after last year, and which makes many things easier. Municipal workers, together with seasonal staff from the Action Plan, have done an exceptional job, and more than a few residents have noticed this.

What's more, activities for children to raise awareness of keeping clean and caring for the environment have had a great effect. The beach is for everyone, and it's also everyone's responsibility to keep it in good condition.

- Is the Pueblo Nuevo Sports Centre the flagship investment of this term of office?

Absolutely, yes. It was a necessary project that should have happened at least ten years ago, but that's water under the bridge now and it's great news that it's now in its final phase. This will finally solve the great demand in the area, and we're convinced that investment in sports is an investment in health. The second phase I worry about a little more.

The urbanisation and clean-up requires a major draw on the municipal coffers [the cost is around 450,000 euros], and we can't put it on hold. The aim is for everything to be fully operational by next spring. It's a major issue for the government team to work and find the best solution.

- Are the Sports Centre and the Medical Centre the two greatest achievements of this political term?

The main thing is the positive outlook in terms of infrastructure. This is served by the two major projects for the area, and gives and important raise to the municipal services profile for residents of Valle del Guadiaro. The San Enrique Medical Centre is both a material and personal model, and addresses some very important needs for residents. And yes, I feel very proud of the achievement of both these projects.

There will be improvements made to both service roads by Cepsa. The work is still awaiting some permits from the Andalusian Regional Government, and it should begin within a few weeks.

- What are your views on the tripartite pact over the last few years with the PSOE and PA? The budget increase for football pitches seems to have been one of the few points of disagreement within the pact of this political term.

The experience over the past few years with our colleagues in government has been and remains very positive. They've tried to do many things, and they've succeeded in many of them. And yes, it's true that there have been differences in opinion that have been resolved without too many problems. The PIVG is characterised by being very cautious when it comes to public spending. The key to success in government comes from examining public spending very closely; this allows you to carry out actions more often and more sensibly. But this is anecdotal.

Did you believe that following the resignation of Manuel Melero and the crisis in the PA this could leave them in the minority?

It all happened very quickly, and the political actions of the mayor, Juan

Carlos Ruiz Boix, regarding this was impeccable. Then came Pilar Núñez, who is doing a great job, and brought things back to normal just as quickly.

- It looks like there'll be an intense political race before the next municipal elections. What role will the PIVG play? Will you keep the doors for dialogue open to everybody? And will the appearance of Marina García as candidate for the PP have a knock-on effect?

The PIVG won't close the door on anyone. We are a small party that's growing and emerging as a serious political force. We've had a good experience for two years with the Partido Popular, and the current relationship with the PSOE is also positive. The most important thing is to work well together and respect each and every opinion. As long as this happens, dialogue is possible with everyone. And in the case of Marina García, I hold her in high regard both personally and politically, and as for the alliance between USR and PP, we'll see what happens. Certainly, there are positive and negative views on it.

We'll see what the result is.

- The PIVG has been critical of certain administrative and budgetary decisions of the Association of Municipalities and of Arcgisa, especially for political spending...

Arcgisa performs a good service and has a long line of professionals performing their jobs perfectly. The problem stems

from the increase in some parties due to spending on political salaries of the organisation. Something that we oppose. But as regards the work of the professionals at Arcgisa, on the contrary, they're doing a great job.

- Will the new Deputy Mayor of Pueblo Nuevo be able to provide administrative services to citizens without moving from San Roque? What will be the next step for Valle del Guadiaro?

The reasoning behind opening the new Deputy Mayoralty in Pueblo Nuevo is to offer a different service to that already

being offered in the other municipalities in Valle del Guadiaro. The purpose is to keep these offices open, and from Pueblo Nuevo, which is a neutral and accessible area, a number of services can be performed (administrative, planning...) without the resident needing to travel to the centre of San Roque, otherwise it would not make sense to do what is already being done in the different municipalities. It's the next step and we're working on it.

La obra en sí está prácticamente finalizada, si bien quedan pendientes los trabajos relativos al equipamiento y a la urbanización de la zona. El objetivo es inaugurar el pabellón totalmente operativo antes de que termine el actual mandato del equipo de gobierno, a finales de la primavera de 2015.

El alcalde, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, explicó que “se trata de una demanda histórica de los vecinos del Valle del Guadiaro, una obra que durante años sufrió una paralización y que incluso hubo que cambiar su ubicación inicial.

Finalmente, este Equipo de Gobierno ha podido relanzar los trabajos comprometiendo a una

UTE (unión temporal de empresas) encabezada por Masfalt, que está ejecutando la obra con un presupuesto de 1,2 millones de euros”.

El primer edil detalló que la ejecución está prácticamente ultimada, si bien quedan pendientes dos cuestiones. Por un lado, obras como la instalación del firme de la pista polideportiva (baloncesto, balonmano, fútbol sala...), así como lo relativo a los gimnasios, por un importe inicial de unos 100.000 euros, si bien esta cantidad se intentará rebajar. En segundo lugar, los trabajos relativos a la urbanización de la zona (saneamiento, alumbrado...), para los cuales se están encontrando más dificultades de financiación.

El nuevo pabellón cubre una superficie de unos 1.400 metros

cuadrados, y consta de tres partes diferenciadas. Por un lado, la pista deportiva, con sus correspondientes graderíos, almacenes y aseos. Además, otra zona también cubierta, en la que se encuentran dos vestuarios, dos despachos de monitores, enfermería, zona de instalaciones y dos salas de actividades deportivas (gimnasio, danza, yoga...). Y, finalmente, una zona al aire libre donde se ubican dos pistas de pádel y una zona de encuentro de los deportistas.

The sports centre of Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro, a complex that will cover the whole of Valle del Guadiaro, moves one step closer. Work is almost completed, with only works related to equipping and urbanising the area still to be completed. The aim is to inaugurate the fully operational centre before the end of the current government's term, in late spring 2015.

Mayor Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, explains that “this is responding to a long-standing demand from the residents of Valle del Guadiaro, a project which for years suffered paralysis and even had to change its initial location. Finally, this government team has been able to revive the works, committing to a joint venture headed by Masfalt, which is overseeing the work on a budget of 1.2 million euros."

The mayor explained that the

work is almost complete, save for two issues. Firstly, the installation of the sports court surface (for basketball, handball, football...), as well as the installation of gyms, at an initial amount of 100,000, though they will attempt to reduce this amount.

Secondly, works pertaining to the urbanisation of the area (sanitation, lighting...), for which they are finding challenges in funding.

The new complex covers around 1,400 metres squared, and consists of three different parts.

Firstly, the sports hall, with its bleachers, storerooms and bathrooms. Secondly, another covered area, containing two changing rooms, two instructors offices, first aid room, facilities area, and two rooms for sporting activities (gymnastics, dance, yoga...). And finally, an open air area with two pádel tennis courts and a meeting area.

Los diestros Manuel Díaz “El Cordobés”, David Fandila “El Fandi” y Javier Conde protagonizaron la corrida de la Feria Real de San Roque, que registró algo más de media entrada. Javier Conde sustituyó finalmente a David Galván ante la lidia de los astados de Manuel Blázquez.

Manuel Díaz se dispuso con gran triunfador con el indulto del cuarto toro de la tarde. El Fandi, con cuatro orejas y un rabo, el otro gran triunfador que salió por la puerta grande.

Sin embargo, la suerte no estuvo en demasía del lado del bueno de Javier Conde, que entró finalmente en el cartel al sustituir al joven matador David Galván y poco pudo hacer en una tarde en la que no terminó de cuajar su toreo. Entre los asistentes se contaron 400 jubilados y pensionistas que presenciaron el espectáculo por tan solo 5 euros, ya que los 15 restantes del precio de su entrada los abonaba el Ayuntamiento. xz Fantástico ambiente en la Corrida de Toros de la Feria Real de San Roque.

El Consistorio destina en sus presupuestos 22 mil euros para aquellas familias que cumplan los requisitos.

Este año se han cambiado algunos de los requisitos exigidos para recibir las ayudas, y se entregará un importe fijo de ochenta euros.

El pasado año se entregaron 110

ayudas de las 147 solicitadas, por un importe cercano a los 10 mil euros, lo que supuso una media inferior a los 100 euros por familia.

Podrán optar a las ayudas a la adquisición de libros de texto y material didáctico escolar para alumnos del Segundo Ciclo de Educación Infantil durante el curso 2014/2015 todas las familias con escasos recursos económicos con niños de entre 3 y 5 años, único tramo de la educación obligatoria en el que este material escolar no está subvencionado por

la Junta de Andalucía.

Una vez comprobado que se cumplen los requisitos exigidos, las solicitudes se baremarán. La concesión se efectuará en régimen de concurrencia competitiva. Las ayudas se adjudicarán en orden inverso de magnitud de la renta per cápita de la familia del solicitante.

Un incendio afectó entre 25 y 30 hectáreas de monte bajo y arbolado en la Sierra del Arca. El fuego se inició sobre las 22.00 horas del martes 19, y fue controlado en la madrugada siguiente. Se originó en tres focos, por lo que todo hace indicar que fue provocado, según fuentes municipales.

El primer edil sanroqueño, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, valoró el suceso como el “incendio más grande, y esperemos que el último, de este verano en San Roque”. Explicó que el fuego afectó a un triángulo formado por El Albarracín, la Finca La Doctora y el antiguo Casino, y que aunque las labores de extinción concluyeron sobre las 5 de la madrugada, a lo largo de la mañana continuaban los trabajos en la zona para refrescarla y vigilar posibles rebrotes. Manifestó que “el fuerte viento de poniente dificultó las cosas, ya que hacía galopar las llamas y la cabeza del incendio iba cambiando”.

“Todo hace pensar -recalcó Ruiz Boix- que el fuego fue intencionado, porque se originó en tres focos distintos y porque se inició en horario

nocturno. Se suma así a la lista de otros de similares características que se están dando este verano en la comarca, como los que han afectado a Algeciras y a Guadalmesí, en Tarifa”.

Según informó el Consorcio Provincial de Bomberos, intervinieron en este suceso personal de los parques de San Roque, Algeciras y Guadacorte, junto con los del Plan Infoca, Guardia Civil y Policía Local.

El servicio se inició a las 22.06 horas de la noche del martes 19 con el aviso a la Sala de Emergencias del 085. Los Bomberos se retiraron sobre las 6.00 de la mañana, aunque volvieron menos de dos horas después tras recibirse un aviso de existencia de rescoldos en la zona del centro de rehabilitación de drogodependientes de Montenegral, unas instalaciones que fueron desalojadas previamente durante unas horas.

Otros momentos peligrosos fueron cuando las llamas amenazaron algunas viviendas de El Albarracín y cuando la cabeza del fuego avanzó hacia la A-7.

A fire destroyed around 25-30 hectares of scrub and woodland in Sierra del Arca. The fire began around 10pm on Tuesday 19th, and was under control by early the next morning. It originated in three points, indicating that it was intentional, according to municipal sources.

San Roque mayor Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, described the event as the "biggest, and hopefully the last fire this summer in San Roque." He explained that the fire affected a triangular area formed by El Albarracín, Finca La Doctora and the old Casino, and that although it was extinguished around 5am, work continued throughout the morning to continue to cool it down and monitor possible new outbreaks. He stated that, "the strong westerly wind made things difficult, as it whipped up the flames and the head of the fire kept changing."

"This all suggests," stressed Ruiz Boix, "that the fire was intentional,

because it originated at three different points and began at night. It joins the list of other similar incidents that have occurred this summer, such as those which affected Algeciras and Guadalmesí in Tarifa."

According to the Provincial Fire Consortium, staff from San Roque, Algeciras and Guadacorte parks took part, as well as members of the Infoca Plan, Guardia Civil and local police.

Action was taken at 22.06 on the night of Tuesday 19th following a call to the 085 emergency number.

Firefighters withdrew at around 6am the following morning, but returned less than two hours later after receiving notice of embers near the Montenegral rehabilitation centre, facilities that had previously been evacuated for several hours. There was also danger when the flames threatened some homes in El Albarracín, and when the head of the fire moved toward the A-7.

El Tribunal Superior de Justicia insta al Consistorio sanroqueño a pronunciarse sobre la adjudicación del TG-22 xz Redacción El Tribunal Superior de Justicia, Sala de lo ContenciosoAdministrativo, instó con su Auto del pasado 13 de julio al Ayuntamiento de San Roque a tener que tomar una decisión sobre la adjudicación de la parcela del TG-22. Un proceso que se alarga en el tiempo desde hace más de diez años y que reclama contar con una solución que ponga fin al tan dilatado proceso.

Las opciones con las que contaría el Consistorio para resolver el conflicto contaría con tres variantes principales: como sería confirmar la adjudicación en favor de Venta de Viviendas y Edificios Rehabilitados S.L. (Werh), ganadora en su momento de la adjudicación (incumple parte del pliego de condiciones), hacerlo en caso contrario en favor de Sotogolf (que a su vez también incumple parte del pliego de condiciones) o una tercera vía de declarar desierto el concurso por incumplimiento de las dos partes.

Debemos tener en cuenta que en las dos últimas opciones llevaría de la mano una cantidad a rembolsar por parte del Consistorio superior a los 17 millones de euros, correspondientes a la inversión ya

realizada por WERH, del mismo modo sería previsible que una adjudicación a SOTOGOLF acarrearía un nuevo y largo procedimiento judicial por los mismos motivos a instancia de WERH. Una cuestión necesaria de contar con una solución práctica a todos los efectos para las partes y que finalice con algo firme tras tantos

años de proceso.

Además, la propia dilatación en el tiempo del proceso ha tenido consecuencias en la propia parcela, que recientemente está siendo desbrozada y sometida a labores de limpieza, para los vecinos de la zona ya que durante mucho tiempo se han ido quejando de los efectos negativos de ello para la zona.

Furthermore, the very length of the court proceedings has had consequences on the land itself, which has recently undergone work for clearing and tidying up, for the residents of the area who have been complaining for so long about the negative effects on the area.

Asimismo, alumbró un total de 255 empleos en la comarcao. Los más de 170 nuevos proyectos empresariales presentan una inversión inicial estimada de 3,1 millones de euros –exactamente, 3.169.398 euros-. Y fueron promovidos por personas emprendedoras, en su mayoría jóvenes menores de 40 años, así como una destacada presencia de mujeres.

Cara al segundo semestre, Andalucía Emprende, a través de su Dirección Provincial en Cádiz, tiene prevista una nove-

dosa actuación denominada ‘Premio Localidad Emprende’.

El contenido de la iniciativa consiste en organizar un concurso en una veintena de localidades con la colaboración de los respectivos ayuntamientos, asociaciones de empresarios, etc. que reconozca las mejores iniciativas emprendedoras de cada municipio. Además, en la segunda mitad del año también están planificadas jornadas sobre recursos en el territorio (orientadas, sobre todo, a jóvenes); sobre economía social; empleo autónomo; y sobre periodismo y emprendimiento, a las que se sumarían más actuaciones de ámbito regional como los programas de miniempresas educativas, internacionalización o Andalucía Emprende Coopera, entre otras.

La Reforma de la Ley Hipotecaria y del Catastro En el Consejo de Ministros del 11 de abril del año en curso se aprobó un proyecto de ley para reformar la Ley Hipotecaria y el Texto Refundido de la Ley del Catastro dentro de las reformas que está llevando a cabo el presente Gobierno para la racionalización y mejora de los procedimientos administrativos.

A nadie se le escapa que, aun cuando el Registro de la Propiedad y el Catastro inmobiliario recaen sobre el mismo ámbito de la realidad inmobiliaria, lo cierto es que no se encuentran debidamente coordinados. Mucho se ha avanzado en este aspecto pero aún hoy existen grandes discrepancias entre la realidad física de las fincas (que se supone están perfectamente recogidas en el Catastro inmobiliario) y la realidad jurídica de las mismas que se se suponen están perfectamente inscritas en el Registro de la Propiedad.

Efectivamente, la discordancia existente entre ambas instituciones se debe a la dispersión normativa y a la falta de tratamiento integral y homogéneo de los datos que impiden la coordinación. El Registro utilizaba hasta hace poco una cartografía distinta de la catastral y de difícil relación con las fincas inscritas; los procedimientos de intercambio de información son insuficientes y es difícil saber cuándo una finca registral y una parcela catastral son la misma unidad jurídica.

Hasta el año 1996 no se realizó un intento serio de coordinar ambas instituciones mediante la Ley 13/1996 de 30 de diciembre sobre medidas fiscales, administrativas y de orden social. Esta ley introduce la referencia catastral como medio de identificación y obliga a incorporar una certificación catastral descriptiva y gráfica para poder inmatricular una finca en el Registro de la Propiedad. Esta iniciativa legislativa de coordinación continuó con el Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2004 de 5 de marzo que facilitó que la cartografía catastral sirviera para la identificación de las fincas en el Registro de la Propiedad.

A pesar de todo aún siguen existiendo casos de divergencia entre el Registro y el Catastro, y lo que es peor, sin haber un procedimiento que permita la resolución de discrepancias entre ambas entidades cuando se trata de identificar o describir los bienes inmuebles. Nada más que tenemos que pensar en la ingente actividad urbanística realizada en los últimos años y la incidencia que la misma ha tenido en el contenido de los derechos de propiedad y de sus titulares sin que la misma haya tenido un adecuado y correcto acceso al Registro. Esta situación es la que trata de ser corregida con el proyecto de ley que estamos comentando.

Como se dice en la Exposición de Motivos, para el Registro es esencial, a efectos de la seguridad jurídica de los derechos inscritos, determinar con la mayor exactitud posible la porción de terreno sobre la que proyecta sus efectos. Y para el Catastro es fundamental conocer y reflejar en la cartografía todas aquellas modificaciones o alteraciones registrales que se produzcan sobre

las realidades físicas de las fincas mediante cualquier hecho, negocio o acto jurídico.

No vamos a hacer aquí un estudio detenido de este proyecto de ley pero si destacaremos algunos puntos que se nos antojan interesantes. Así la representación gráfica catastral del inmueble se incorporará al folio registral donde aparezca inscrita la finca lo que supone que el Registro ya no sólo ampaAbogados / Lawyers rará los derechos sino también los contenidos físicos de los Sotogrande muebles inscritos. Es interesante a estos efectos conocer que info@babianoabogados.es los Registradores deberán valorar la correspondencia de la www.babianoabogados.es representación gráfica aportada con el inmueble inscrito.

Para ayudarles en esta tarea se suministrará una aplicación informática que permita relacionar las representaciones gráficas con el folio real de la finca de la que se trate y previendo especialmente la invasión de dominio público o consultas de las limitaciones del dominio que se deriven de clasificaciones urbanísticas, medioambientales o administrativas.

Otro punto interesante de la reforma es que otorga las competencias para los procedimientos de coordinación entre el Registro y la realidad física a los Notarios y Registradores. Con esta ley, Notarios y Registradores serán los responsables de los expedientes de inmatriculación de fincas, rectificación de superficie, incorporación de bases gráficas, deslinde, reanudación del tracto, duplicidad de inscripciones y liberación de cargas. Hasta ahora estas competencias estaban ejercitadas por los Jueces a través de los conocidos expedientes de dominio. De todas maneras se mantiene el principio constitucional de tutela judicial efectiva ya que en caso de oposición por parte de algún interesado en el expediente de coordinación, la cuestión será decidida en sede judicial. Cuestión a señalar también es la eliminación de los privilegios de la Iglesia Católica en las inmatriculaciones ya que pasará a equipararse al resto de la sociedad y las inscripciones de sus propiedades se adecuarán al procedimiento normal de inmatriculación. El artículo 206 de la actual Ley Hipotecaria y bajo el título “inscripción de bienes inmuebles de las administraciones públicas y la Iglesia Católica” otorga a esta última la facultad de inmatricular cualquier inmueble a su favor bastando a tales efectos con un certificado expedido por el Obispo competente. Ya hubo una sentencia del Tribunal Constitucional del año 1993 declarando inconstitucional el artículo 76.1 de la ley de arrendamientos urbanos que establecía privilegios en favor de la Iglesia para el desalojo de sus inquilinos. Muchos juristas estimaron que esta sentencia era aplicable al comentado artículo 206 pero hasta la fecha la cuestión no había sido elevada al Tribunal Constitucional.

Reforms for the Mortgage Act and Cadastre Act On 11 April this year, the Council of Ministers passed a bill to reform the Mortgage Act and the revised text of the Real Estate Cadastre Law, as part of the reforms being undertaken by the present government to rationalise and improve administrative procedures.

It is no secret that, although the Land Registry and the Real Estate Cadastre fall under the same field of real estate, in reality they are not well coordinated. Much progress has been made in this area, but there are still large discrepancies between the physical reality of properties (assuming these are perfectly recorded in the Real Estate Cadastre) and the legal reality of the same, assuming they are perfectly recorded on the Land Registry.

In fact, the discrepancies that exist between the two institutions is due to differences in legislation and the lack of comprehensive and consistent data processing, which impedes coordination. Until recently, the Registry used different mapping to the Cadastre, with a difficult relationship with the registered properties; the procedures for exchanging information have been insufficient, and it is difficult to know when a property registration and a cadastral plot at the same legal unit.

Until 1996, no serious attempt had been made to coordinate both institutions, until Act 13/1996 of 30 December on fiscal, administrative and social order measures. This law introduced the cadastral reference as the means of identification, and requires the inclusion of a descriptive and graphical cadastral certification in order to register a property on the Land Registry. This legislative attempt at coordination continued with the Legislative Royal Decree of 5 March, which facilitated cadastral mapping in order to identify properties on the Land Registry.

However, there are still cases of discrepancies between the Registry and the Cadastre, and what is worse, there is no procedure that allows the resolution of discrepancies between the two entities when trying to identify or describe a property. We simply have to think of the vast urban activity in recent years, and the impact this has had on property rights and property owners, without this having proper and correct access to the Registry. This situation is what is trying to be corrected by the aforementioned bill.

As stated in the preamble, it is essential for the Registry, for the purposes of legal certainty of registered rights, to determine as accurately as possible the plot of land that is affected. And it is fundamental for the Cadastre to know and reflect in its mapping

all the registry modifications or alterations that are carried out on the physical reality of properties through any event, business or legal act.

We're not going to go through a thorough study of this bill here, but will simply highlight some interesting points. The graphical cadastral representation of the property will be added to the land registry page where the property is registered, meaning that the Registry will protect not only the rights but also the physical contents of the registered properties. It is interesting to note here that these Registrars must assess the correspondence of the graphical representation provided with the registered property. To aid them in this task, they will use a computer program that allows them to relate the graphical representations with the actual registration of the property at hand, particularly in anticipation of the invasion of public domain or queries regarding the limitations of the domain, resulting from urban, environmental or administrative classifications.

Another interesting point of the reform is the powers granted for the coordination procedures between the Registry and the physical reality of Notaries and Registrars. Under this law, Notaries and Registrars will be responsible for the records of property registrations, surface rights modification, incorporation of graphical references, demarcations, resumption of the tract, duplication of entries and exemption from charges. Until now, these powers have been exercised by judges through known domain records. In any case, the constitutional principal of effective judicial protection is maintained, as is also true in the case of any opposition from any interested party in the coordination file, in which the matter shall be decided in court.

A further issue worth noting is the removal of the privileges of the Catholic Church in registrations, equalising its position with that of the rest of society, with the registration of its properties conforming to the normal registration procedure. Article 206 of the current Mortgage Act, under the title "registration of properties by public administrations and the Catholic Church" grants the latter the right to register any property for themselves through a certificate issued by the relevant Bishop. A Constitutional Court ruling in 1993 already declared Article 76.1 of the Urban Rental Law as unconstitutional, which established privileges in favour of the church regarding the eviction of their tenants. Many legal experts believed that this sentence was applicable to Article 206, but to date this matter has not been brought before the Constitutional Court.

El colectivo Mosayko Arte Música, con la colaboración de la Asociación Cultural Sotogrande, organizó en la Plaza de los Naranjos de Puerto Sotogrande el espectáculo “El reino de las musas”, a cargo del pianista pacense Pedro Gutiérrez “Monty” y del artista José Manuel Gamero. Inspirado por la música de “Monty”, Gamero realizó simultáneamente una obra de arte en vivo, ante la mirada del público.

La actividad se encmarca en el proyecto “Solo Arte” que se desarrolla a lo largo del mes en la citada plaza. Además, hubo una cata de vino ofrecida por la bodega Pinna Fidelis y tapas de Andrea L. Raffetta, así como una exposición de las obras de los artistas del colectivo

Mosayko, como se ha ido desarrollando durante todo el verano. El proyecto “Solo Arte” tiene el apoyo de Puerto Sotogrande SA, y en este espectáculo en particular se ha contado con la colaboración de la familia Hinves,

de Granada, representante oficial de Steinway & Sons, que cedió para el acto un piano de cola de esta marca, considerada por la mayoría de los pianistas profesionales como una de las mejores del mundo.

The 'Solo Arte' project has the backing of Puerto Sotogrande SA and in this show in particular the Hinves family, from Granada, the official Steinway & Sons representative provided a grand piano for the event by this manufacturer, considered by most professional pianists to be one of the best in the world.

Las mejores voces del Carnaval gaditano se dan cita el viernes 29 de agosto en la II Antológica Noche de Coplas, que tendrá lugar en el polideportivo Vicente Blanca a beneficio del CD San Roque en sus categorías inferiores.

La Noche de Coplas de Carnaval contará con la actuación de tríos y cuartetos de las mejores voces y guitarras del carnaval gaditano, como el Pellejo, el Piojo, Faly Figuer;

Quique Remolino; el Sheriff; el Lulu; Manolo Santander; o integrantes del primer premio de chirigotas como Silva, Kaka, Popo o Chico. Además de estos ilustres nombres, que estarán acompañados por otra decena de carnavaleros más, se contará con la actuación de componentes del grupo sanroqueño, como Careto, Herrera, Montes, Barreno o Sueiro.

La playa de Torreguadiaro, se convirtió en escenario de teatro improvisado. Se trataba del Teatro Familiar de Playa, una iniciativa de las delegaciones de Cultura y Turismo que correrá a cargo de la compañía La Madriguera Teatro, la cual interpretó la comedia “Silencio se rueda”.

El espectáculo se basó en la grabación cinematográfica de una secuencia para una serie televisiva en el que los protagonistas tienen que desarrollar

una escena en San Roque. Los actores, el director, la ayudante y el cámara irrumpen en la playa buscando la localización ideal para desarrollar la escena de la serie, interactuando con los bañistas. Sin embargo, durante el rodaje de los episodios fueron surgiendo problemas, y la grabación del capítulo se desarrolla con mil peripecias en las que equivocaciones, olvidos, y gazapos, se mezclan con el conflictivo carácter del equipo de rodaje.

The event was the Teatro Familiar de Playa (the Family Beach Theatre), an initiative of the Culture and Tourism Department produced by La Madriguera Teatro threatre company, who performed the comedy “Silencio se rueda” (Silence is Filmed).

The show was based on a film shoot for a sequence for a television series in which the protagonists have to do a scene in San Roque.

The actors, the director, the assistant and the cameraman arrive on the beach

looking for the ideal location in which to do the scene, interacting with bathers. However, during the filming some problems arise and the projects descends into a series of misunderstandings, oversights and mistakes, which exacerbate the conflictive nature of the film crew.

Más medidas económicas y cómo afectan al consumidor Cada semana se suceden nuevas medidas con las que el Gobierno anuncia paquetes de corte económico que afectarán a los usuarios en sus relaciones con los proveedores de buena parte de los servicios. Ya se conocían algunas, pero otras son actuaciones no esperadas por los consumidores, que se enfrentan a un cambio en sus vínculos laborales, bancarios, servicios de consumo, etc.

El último impulso en formato de medidas económicas no contempla medidas de gran calado al estilo de la última reforma fiscal, pero sí, en cambio, pequeñas variaciones que pueden afectar a nuestra vida diaria. Son las siguientes: • Tarifas "ninis": se desarrollará un sistema de bonificaciones sociales, denominado "Tarifa joven", que tendrá como objetivo incentivar la contratación indefinida de jóvenes (entre 16 y 25 años), ampliándose hasta los 30 en casos de discapacidad igual o superior al 33%. El descuento será de hasta 300 euros mensuales y el fin es que estas personas puedan acceder al mercado de trabajo. Esta nueva tarifa estará en vigor hasta el 30 de junio del 2016 y será compatible con el resto de los incentivos destinados a este segmento social.

• Retención de los autónomos: su implantación en el Impuesto de la Renta sobre las Personas Físicas (IRPF) quedará reducida a partir de julio de este año, pero no en todos los casos, sino para los trabajadores por cuenta propia que dispongan de unos rendimientos netos del trabajo inferiores a 15.000 euros, pasando al 15% desde el 21% que venían asumiendo hasta ahora.

• Exención de tributos: algunos contribuyentes quedarán exentos en el IRPF y en el impuesto de plusvalías municipales de la ganancia patrimonial que se produzca después de una dación en pago.

Por otra parte, los rendimientos negativos como consecuencia de las participaciones preferentes se podrán compensar con las ganancias patrimoniales deri-

vadas de las acciones que fueron objeto de canje. La novedad de esta medida reside en que será retroactiva al 1 de enero de 2014 y a todos los ejercicios todavía sin prescribir desde el año 2010.

• Límites en las comisiones de las tarjetas: Afectará a los pagos con tarjeta de pequeño importe, de hasta 20 euros, en los que las comisiones serán más bajas, de 0,2% para los plásticos de crédito y 0,1% para las de débito.

• Tarifas aéreas congeladas: los usuarios podrán beneficiarse de estas tarifas, que no subirán hasta el año 2015. Y todo ello, como consecuencia del nuevo marco regulatorio.

Could you introduce L'essenza to our readers?

L'essenza reflects our passion for the beauty and wellness world.

After a time working as an employee, we decided to embark on a business venture and create a place in Sotogrande devoted to caring for the body. Our dream and ultimate goal was to that our clients would see looking after their bodies not as an extra or a luxury, but as something that must be kept in mind every day.

You launched yourselves into the venture at a difficult time, yet L'essenza is going well.

In June we celebrated our second

Unos 35 ancianos, usuarios de la Residencia Municipal de Mayores y de las viviendas tuteladas, disfrutaron de un viaje en barco por aguas del Puerto de Sotogrande. Estos, protestan por los movimientos de tierra que se han estado ejecutando y que habrían afectado tocando a colectores y tuberías provocando el vertido de aguas fecales en la zona. Por ello reclaman que se paralicen hasta contar con la seguridad de que no afecte a las viviendas cercanas y una reunión con todas las partes implicadas en el TG-22 para discutir los temas que afectan a los vecinos.

Astrid Muñoz expone sus fotografías en Santa María Polo Club La modelo y fotógrafa Astrid Muñoz, esposa del polista argentino Eduardo Novillo Astrada, expone en Santa María Polo Club dos colecciones únicas llenas de bellas y estudiadas imágenes que han entusiasmado a los habituales del 43º Torneo Internacional Land Rover Polo.

‘Gauchos’, la primera de las muestras, recoge una serie de retratos de esta figura icónica del campo argentino, sobre los que la autora lleva trabajando desde 2008, una estampa por la que parece no haber pasado el tiempo y que

ella ha resumido en un selección de 12 imágenes. Por otra parte, desde una perspectiva más artística, ‘La Isla de Skye’, la segunda de las colecciones acerca al espectador a la majestuosidad natural de este rincón de Escocia.

La inauguración de la exposición contó con numerosos invitados, tanto del mundo del polo, como del entorno de la artista portorriqueña.

Sus obras pueden visitarse en los accesos a la Zona VIP del Pabellón Los Pinos y en After Polo Sotogrande.

1.- Al llegar al palenque, la actividad de los polistas se centra en el precalentamiento deportivo. Un equipo compuesto por preparador físico y un fisioterapeuta se encarga de que los jugadores salten al terreno juego en las mejores condiciones 1.- Once arriving at the tethering posts, the polo players concentrate on the warm-up. 2. Los árbitros, mientras tanto, se posicionan en las canchas. Son dos técnicos dentro y un tercero fuera del campo los que se encargan del cumplimiento de las normas del juego

3. Tras el entrenamiento y el taqueo precompetitivo, los jugadores terminan de equiparse. Botas, rodilleras, guantes y casco están a punto en los palenques para ello.

El Torneo Ansorena de Golf, una de las citas más tradicionales cada agosto en Sotogrande, se disputó en dos jornadas, de viernes y sábado, en el Real Club de Golf Sotogrande. El imponente trazado acogió un nuevo verano el torneo de la firma con dos emocionantes jornadas de competición y un gran volumen de participantes, la competición se jugó bajo la Modalidad Medalplay.

Los ganadores fueron: En pri-

mera posición, M. Espinosa de los Monteros, G. Pan de Sraluce Gayán, Gonzalo Montojo Fernández y Torremocha Gaytán de Ayala; el segundo puesto del cajón lo ocuparon Roland Rabe, Ruth Rabe Scholles, Rainer Kilma y Uta Klima; mientras que la tercera posición fue para Derk Albada Jelgersma, Tristán Marín Urquijo, Pía Gaytán de Ayala y Cosme Martiarena Aguilar.

xz Una nueva edición del Torneo de Golf Ansorena, ya un habitual de los agosto en Sotogrande, se celebró con gran éxito en el magnífico y mítico trazado del Real Club de Golf Sotogrande.

The Ansorena Golf Tournament, a customary event every August in Sotogrande, was held over a Friday and Saturday at Real Club de Golf Sotogrande.

The impressive course once again hosted the company's tournament with two thrilling days of competition and a large number of participants. The competition was played under the Medal Play format.

The winners were: In the first place, M. Espinosa de los Monteros, G. Pan de Sraluce Gayán, Gonzalo Montojo Fernández and

Torremocha Gaytán de Ayala; in second place, Roland Rabe, Ruth Rabe Scholles, Rainer Kilma and Uta Klima; and in third place, Derk Albada Jelgersma, Tristán Marín Urquijo, Pía Gaytán de Ayala and Cosme Martiarena Aguilar.

The championship was a resounding success and once again attracted a large number of players a good standard of golf. The prize ceremony was held at the end of the second day in the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande Clubhouse.

El Campeonato de España de J80 se disputa del 3 al 6 de septiembre

La vela pone el gran broche de oro al verano en Sotogrande xz M. G. La vela suma otra cita más de relevancia en Sotogrande esta temporada. Del 3 al 6 de septiembre se disputa el Campeonato de España de J80 en aguas de Sotogrande, una gran cita en la que participarán barcos llegados desde todo el territorio nacional (Santander, Barcelona, Murcia, Cádiz,...) además de 14 embarcaciones locales que lucharán por la victoria.

El formato de competición previsto es regatas de flota. El programa para el campeonato es el siguiente: el martes, 2 de septiembre, se realizará el apartado de registro, mediciones y pesaje de las embarcaciones; para el 3 de septiembre, está previsto la entrega de instrucciones de la regata y la regata de práctica, día en el que ya se podrán ver todas las embarcaciones atracadas

para el evento. La regata, puramente, comienza el jueves, 4 de septiembre con la Primera Prueba desde las 12:00 horas; ese mismo horario se repetirá en el inicio de las pruebas para los días 5 y 6 de septiembre.

Teniendo lugar el mismo sábado, 6 de septiembre, a partir de las 21:00 horas, la cena oficial de las tripulaciones y la protocolaria entrega de premios.

The proposed format for the competition is fleet racing. The

program for the championship is as follows: Tuesday 2 September: registration will take place as well as measurement and weighing of the boats; 3 September: instructions for the race will be

given, and a practice race will take place, a day in which you can already see all the boats moored for the event. The race itself will begin on Thursday 4 September, with the first race at

12.00; the same schedule will take place for the two races on 5 and 6 September. On Saturday 6 September, from 9pm, the official crew dinner and awards ceremony will take place.

El Club de Golf La Cañada acogió por segundo verano consecutivo el Torneo Jóvenes Promesas, un punto de encuentro para todos los chicos y chicas amantes del golf de disfrutar de una gran jornada festiva que supone mucho más que una competición. Con un invitado de lujo como fue Álvaro Quirós, esta segunda edición promovida por reconocido profesor de golf Álex Ocaña.

Una completa jornada en la que los más pequeños disfrutaron de una fantástica competición y torneo, para todas las categorías y además de un día de fiesta.

Great day at Almenara Golf with customary Fathers and Sons Tournament Almenara hosted its customary Fathers and Sons Tournament this August. A regular August event, it becomes a festive day of friendship revolving around golf, with a Texas Scramble competition between fathers and sons. After the tournament, the kids and grown-ups enjoyed a fantastic cocktail party and prize ceremony and gifts for all the future golfers.

In the competition, Javier and Yago Roa were the winning pair, with Guy and Thomas Stagnetto finishing second. The closest ball to the pin was hit by Álvaro Herrera and the longest drive belonged to Pedro Jurado.

The winners received the wonderful prize of a trip to PortAventura, with flights and accommodation included.

El Andalucía Golf Challenge brilla en La Reserva de Sotogrande xz Manuel Gil La Reserva de Sotogrande acogió la cuarta cita del IV Andalucía Golf Challenge. La competición repartió vuelos a Turquía con Turkish Airlines para los ganadores de cada categoría. La cuarta cita del Circuito Andalucía Golf Challenge 2014 reunió a cerca de un centenar de jugadores, que salieron al tiro en esa competición abierta promovida por esta publicación.

En lo que respecta a los resultados deportivos, en Primera Categoría la victoria correspondió a Lucía Alonso-Olarra. La segunda plaza fue para Gustavo Gabarda y la ter-

cera para Manuel Aceña. En Segunda Categoría se impuso Jaime Olaso de la Rica. Quedó segunda Marta Gómez Acebo y la tercera plaza fue para Luis Dia Castellanos. En la clasificación de Damas se impuso Marta Gómez Acebo, seguida de Lucía Alonso Olarra y María del Carmen García Bellido.

Tras haberse disputado ya en Río Real, Finca Cortesín, San Roque Old y La Reserva (15(08/2014), las próximas citas del Circuito Andalucía Golf Challenge 2014 son las siguientes: Flamingos (23

de agosto) y Aloha (6 de septiembre). La reserva para participar se deberá efectuar en cada campo de golf escenario del torneo. La inscripción cuesta 75 euros en Flamingos y 95 en Aloha, en ambos casos con buggy y cóctel incluidos.

María Parra se queda en octavos de final del British Girls de Golf La golfista local del SIGA-Sotogrande, Marío Parra, cedió finalmente en los octavos de final del British Girls de Golf, disputado en Massereene Golf Club (Irlanda del Norte). En total, fueron seis las andaluzas que se desplazaron para disputar el torneo: María Parra, Ana Peláez, Laura Gómez, Lucila Puente, Carolina Ronchel e Isabel Marín. Tras superar las dos primeras jornadas Stroke Play -que estuvieron marcadas por la lluvia- Ana Peláez, María Parra y Carolina Ronchel, accedieron al cuadro de juego. Ya, en octavos de final, Andalucía se quedó sin representación, al ceder la guadiareña del SIGASotogrande, María Parra, ante la italiana Ludovica Farina por 5/3 y la onubense de Bellavista, Carolina Ronchel, ante la belga Elodie Van Dievoet por 1up.

The prize for the winners of each group in the competition was flights to Turkey with Turkish Airlines. The fourth round of the Andalucía Golf Challenge 2014 Tour brought together around a hundred players, who had a shotgun start in this open competition promoted by this publication.

As for the results, in Group One victory went to Lucía AlonsoOlarra. Second place went to Gustavo Gabarda and Manuel Aceña was third. In Group Two, Jaime Olaso de la Rica was the winner. Marta Gómez Acebo finished second and third place went to Luis Dia Castellanos. In the Ladies', Marta Gómez Acebo was the winner, followed by Lucía Alonso Olarra and María del Carmen García Bellido.

Con un excelente nivel de competición y una gran participación de jugadores, el torneo supuso todo un éxito que se extendió más allá de lo deportivo. Tras la cita con el golf, los jugadores disfrutaron de un exquisito cóctel en el estupen-

The golfer from Tesorillo, Mario Galiano, went out in the second round of the US Amateur Golf Championship, the most prestigious tournament for non-professional players in the world, in which the La Cañada man delivered an outstanding performance.

La XV edición de la Regata Copa Sotogrande Rives cumplió un año más la gran cita de las aguas de Sotogrande con la vela. Tras una primera jornada fallida, a causa de la falta de viento y la niebla, las dos jornadas restantes brillaron con luz propia en una intensa y disputada regata que en varias categorías no se decidió el ganador hasta la última manga.

En la disciplina de cruceros ORC, los cuales tenían en juego la puntuación para el campeonato de Andalucía, el ganador fue el “Estepona.com” del armador Estepona Web, S.L. y patroneado por Javier Rodríguez del Club de Regatas Costa del Sol, en segundo lugar el barco “Amor Fati” del Armador Rafael Ruiz Ramírez del C.M. Benalmádena y patroneado por el mismo, y en tercera posi-

ción el barco Titicaca del Armador y patrón Graham Cox del RCM Sotogrande. Además, en ORC4 el ganador fue “Amor Fati”; en ORC3 se llevó el triunfo “Titicaca”; en ORC2 venció “Estepona.com”; en ORC1 ganó “Estrella Damm”; y en Clase Club, “Tangai” se adjudicó el triunfo.

En los monotipos J80, el barco “Herbalife” de los armadores Juan Luis Páez y Pepequin Orbaneja y del Real Club Marítimo Sotogrande, consiguió alzarse con la copa XV Copa Sotogrande Rives, tras una regata formidable llegando al ganar en 3 de las cuatro pruebas de la Copa.

En segundo lugar el barco “Oxital” de los armadores Carlos Latapia y Alejandro Díaz del Real Club Marítimo Santander, y en

tercer lugar el barco “Intention” del armador Bevelle Nautica del Club Nautico Bevelle.

En la clase TOM28MAX el “Brabante” de los armadores Rafael Benjumea y Javier García Carranza, ha sido el ganador de esta edición de la regata Sotograndina En segundo lugar ha sido la embarcación “Pink Floid” del armador Enrique Benjumea. 15th Sotogrande Rives Cup Regatta champions sailing in Sotogrande The 14th Sotogrande Rives Cup Regatta celebrated another year of this fantastic sailing event on Sotogrande waters. Following a failed first day due to the lack of wind and foggy conditions, the remaining two days shone forth with their own light in an intense and hotly contested regatta, in which the winner was not decided in various categories until the final race.

In the ORC cruiser category, which was scoring for the Andalusia championship, the winner was “Estepona.com” owned by Estepona Web, S.L. and skippered by Javier Rodríguez of Club de Regatas Costa del Sol, followed by the boat “Amor Fati” in second place, skippered and owned by Rafael Ruiz Ramírez of C.M. Torres) claimed their second title of the Summer Season in Sotogrande when they were crowned champions of the High-Goal Silver Cup after beating Dos Lunas 13-10 in a vibrant final, with the crowds filling the stands at Santa María Polo Club.

It was an intense final, with the opening and closing stages of the clash dominated by Cambiaso's men, reaching its peak in the third chukka with a very combative Dos Lunas (L. Domec, P. Sainz de Vicuña, M. Iturraspe and A. García Grossi). Valiente finally claimed the double after their victory in the Bronze Cup just a few days ago,

Aunque Equus estuvo por delante en el marcador durante todo el encuentro no fue tarea facil, Sevens estuvo a punto de llevar el partido a suplementario en el sexto chuckker poniendose solo a un gol del conjunto de Peter Silling y teniendo una falta a su favor en el último minuto, pero Equus supo manejar la situacion y asi llevarse la victoria por 10 a 9 y el trofeo casablanca de la Copa de Plata de este 43 torneo Internacional de polo por segundo año consecutivo. En cuanto al Bajo, Huntsman se proclamó campeón de la Copa de Plata de Bajo Handicap al vencer en la final a Serdañola por 12 a 9, partido disputado en la cancha principal de Puente de Hierro de Santa María Polo Club. Con este triunfo Huntsman levanta su segundo trofeo de la temporada en el 43º Torneo Internacional Land Rover de Polo al haber ganado también la Copa de Bronce.

Although Equus were in the lead fur the entire game, it was no easy task. Sevens came close to taking the match into extra time, moving with a goal of Peter Stirling's team and receiving a foul in their favour in the final minute. But Equus were able to handle the situation and come away with a 10-9 victory and the Silver Cup's Casablanca trophy in this 43rd International Polo Tournament for the second year running. In the Low-Goal competition, Huntsman were crowned champions of the Silver Cup when the overcam e Serdañola in the final by 12 goals to 9, a close game held on Santa María Polo Club's main Puente de Hierro field. With this victory, Huntsman lift their second trophy of the season in the 43rd Land Rover International Polo Tournament after winning the Bronze Cup.

DESDE EL BUNKER “España es actualmente una gran potencia en el golf femenino de toda Europa” xz Manuel Gil

El Periódico de Sotogrande se centra en esta edición de su sección ‘Desde el búnker’ en uno de los personajes más conocidos en el mundo del golf en la formación de promesas en el panorama nacional. Kiko Luna es el seleccionador nacional juvenil y profesor en la Escuela Blume.

Ha dirigido y visto formarse a varios de los mejores jugadores españoles profesionales del momento, tras una vida dedicada por entero al golf.

“Yo nací en un campo de golf”, explica sobre su relación con este deporte. “Mi padre trabajaba en el campo de Puerta de Hierro y vivíamos junto al hoyo 8. A los tres años ya estaba jugando todos mis hermanos o bien se han dedicado al golf o se han casado con personas vinculadas al golf, es algo de familia”, comenta. “Llegué a los 18 años con +1,4 de handicap y me hice profesional con miras a la competición aunque luego me decliné por ser profesor. Comencé a trabajar con Pepito Gallardo en Puente de Hierro y poco después me apareció la posibilidad de dirigir el comité técnico juvenil nacional y ahí llevo desde entonces, junto con la Escuela

Blume”, detalla sobre su trayectoria.

Explica que el golf es algo que nunca “se termina de aprender” y que hay que continuar formándose y es algo que deben tener las nuevas generaciones jugadores. “Los jóvenes llegan ahora con muchísima más preparación, existen muchos adelantos y los jugadores necesitan para llegar a lo más alto un entrenamiento multidisciplinar (físico, técnico, psicológico,..) y aunque no por ello se hace más fácil llegar a estar entre los mejores.

Llegar se puede llegar, mantenerse es otra cosa”, afirma sobre las opciones y preparación de los jóvenes jugadores que pretenden hacer un hueco en el mundo profesional.

Destaca el papel del golf femenino en España en estos momentos. “España es actualmente una gran potencia en el golf femenino y referencia en toda Europa.

Es el rival a batir. 7 años, 7 oros en la sub-16. Y hoy por hoy la cantera nacional cuenta con una remesa de jugadores de primer nivel, como en su día lo fue la generación de Azahara, Carlota, Belén, ...”, dice sobre la salud del golf nacional y ve un gran puntal

en el femenino.

“Aunque este deporte se empieza desde muy joven y en España el sistema educativo no está adecuado para estas prácticas. Por eso es más necesario disponer de más centros de alto rendimiento y contar con más ayudas para el deportista. Es complicado compaginar para un chico el sistema educativo actual con la exigencia que supone una carrera de un profesional. Habría que mejorar en este sentido”, certifica.

En lo personal, Luna admite que no recuerda el último día “que no jugué al golf” y que se siente “un privilegiado”. “Hago lo que más me gusta en el mundo y eso no tiene la suerte de hacerlo todo el mundo. El golf tiene un ambiente muy sano y animo a los padres a introducir a los niños a este deporte. Tiene disciplina, humildad, constancia...unos valores muy importantes para el crecimiento de un niño.

caddie con mi hermano Santi y consiguió la carta del Tour Europeo”.

“Spain is now a great power in women’s golf in Europe” In this edition of the Periódico Sotogrande, the ‘From the bunker’ section talks to one of the best-known characters in the world of golf for his coaching of young promises on a national scale. Kiko Luna is the coach for the junior national side and teacher at the Blume School. He has coached several of Spain’s best golfers, after a life completely dedicated to the game.

“I was born on a golf course”, he explains on his relationship with the game. “My father worked at the Puerta de Hierro course and we lived beside the eighth hole.

At three years old all my brothers were already playing or working in golf or they have married someone in golf, it is in the blood”, he says. “When I was 18 I had a handicap of +1.4 and I turned professional with hopes

of competing, but I later decided to become a teacher. I started to work with Pepito Gallardo in Puente de Hierro and shortly afterwards I had the chance to head the coaching staff of the national junior team and I’ve been there ever since, along with the Blume School”, he says of his career.

He explains that golf is a game where “you never stop learning” and where you have to keep on training and that is something the new generations of players have to have. “Youngsters are much more prepared nowadays, there are many advances and to reach the top they need multidisciplinary training (physical, technical, psychological, etc.) and although that makes it easier to become one of the best, getting there is one thing, but staying

there is quite another”, he says regarding the options and preparation of the young players who hope to make a name for themselves in professional golf.

He mentions the role of women’s golf in Spain at the moment.

“Spain is currently a great power

in women’s golf and at the forefront of Europe. They are the players to beat. 7 years, 7 golds in the Under-16. And there are now a huge number of first-class players waiting to come through, as were Azahara, Carlota, Belén in their day, ...”, he reveals about the health of the game in Spain and the quality of women’s golf.

“Although this sport starts from very young and in Spain the educational system is not suited to its practice. That is why it is more important to have more high-performance centres and more aid for sportsmen. It is complicated for a kid to juggle the education system with the demands of a professional career. There is room for improvement in that sense”, he states.

Personally, Luna admits that he does not remember the last day

that “I didn’t play golf” and he feels “priveleged”. “I do my favourite thing in the world and not everyone is so lucky. Golf is a very healthy environment and I would encourage parents to introduce their children to this sport. It teaches discipline, humility, perseverance… very important values for the growth of a child.

In a quick questionnaire, he recognises that La Reserva de Sotogrande is his favourite course, that he does not have a supersticious rituals he carries out before he plays, that the strengths of golf are the healthy environment, contact with nature and the emotional memories attached to the sport “the day I went and caddied for my brother Santi and he won his European Tour card”.

Calienta en el terreno de prácticas y empieza lanzando una bola a más de 90 metros de distancia.

La clave para golpear la bola correctamente es “centrar el golpe”. Si está golpeando la bola para llegar a una distancia superior a los 90 metros, no está trabajando en controlar su swing. A esto lo llamamos “Golf de esperanza”. Los golfistas que “esperan” son golfistas con dificultades. Los juga-dores que tienen un PLAN de calentamiento son jugadores que sonríen.

Cree que es un buen lanzador porque casi nunca necesita 3 putts. Si su media es de 36 putts por ronda o más, es muy probable que nunca consiga romper la barrera de los 90 de forma consistente. Piénselo, si tiene 36 putts, tiene que po-der llegar a los 18 greens en 53 golpes o menos.

Esto es menos de 3 golpes por hoyo, incluyendo todas las penalizaciones. No es nada difícil para un golfista que juega habitualmente por debajo de los 80 pero puede ser complicado pa-ra alguien con un driver inconsistente.

Se ha empapado de todos los consejos que se ofrecen en las revistas de golf y no puede esperar a poner en práctica 3 o 4 de estos consejos. A veces todos a la vez.

Este tipo de golfistas son los que acostumbran a terminar su sesión de en-trenamiento diciendo: ¡Parece que cada vez lo hago peor!

juega. Hasta que no sea consistente con un lanzamiento no intente el siguiente.

Golpea el primer putt como si el hoyo estuviese 3 metros más lejos de donde está y luego se queda corto por 500 metros en el siguiente golpe y por último, se queja exclamando: ¡Estos greens son muy inconsistentes!

Oyó decir a un golfista profesional que la única manera de lanzar una bola al-rededor del green es hacer que ruede cuanto antes, y ahora se niega a inten-tar nada más. Por suerte, parece Phil Mickelson se saltó esa clase.

Lo normal es pensar que se juega a golf imitando a los que saben, pero seguirá “sin jugar su mejor golf” si continua haciendo todo aquello que probablemente ha contribuido a la frustración y la inconsistencia de su golf.

This might not be difficult for a Golfer that regularly plays in the low 80's, but it may be difficult for someone with an inconsistent Driver. ..... get so charged up about reading the tips in the golf magazines that you can't wait to get to the driving range to practice 3 or 4 of them. Sometimes all at the

same time. Because this Golfers usually end their practice session by saying "I think I'm getting worse!”

It's only natural to think that this was the way that golf was played. “Monkey See, Monkey Do” But you’ll continue to “not play your best golf” if you continue to do all these things that have most likely contributed to the frustration and inconsistency in your golf game.

Pablo Herrera y Adrián Gavira caen en los octavos de final del Grand Slam de Stare Jablonki en Polonia. El castellonense y el sanroqueño, prese al gran encuentro que realizaron frente a los americanos Gibb-Patterson, finalmente no pudieron con el acierto en los momentos claves del choque de la pareja americana y cedieron antes de alcanzar la siguiente ronda.

En un partido muy intenso y la igualdad fue máxima. Las dos

The men from Castellón and San Roque, despite their great performance against the Americans Gibb and Patterson, fell short at key moments in the clash with the US pair and failed to reach the next round.

El consejo farmaceutico Precaución a la hora de bañarse en piscinas En el verano, una de las formas más habituales de combatir el calor es acercarse a la piscina. Para que esta actividad resulte del todo satisfactoria se deben guardar una serie de precauciones.

En la piscina se comparte el agua con multitud de personas. Aunque se utiliza cloro para la desinfección, su acción puede no ser inmediata. Conviene seguir unas normas de higiene. Es fundamental y obligatoria la ducha antes y después del baño. No entre en el agua si tiene diarrea, porque puede distribuir gérmenes. No trague agua de la piscina y evite que entre en la boca.

Lave sus manos con agua y jabón después de usar el aseo. Si tiene niños pequeños, llévelos al servicio a menudo y, en caso necesario, cambie los pañales en los lavabos de la piscina. La conjuntivitis es otra enfermedad común que se produce por gérmenes, por irritación provocada, por la propia acción del sol o por el cloro del agua. Por ello es recomendable utilizar gafas en el agua y gafas de sol fuera de ella.

Para evitar la infección por hongos se aconseja lavarse y secarse los pies antes y después del baño. También es conveniente el uso de zapatillas.

Otro asunto importante son los accidentes que pueden ocurrir durante el baño. Es fundamental tener cuidado al meterse en el agua. Los traumatismos más frecuentes son torceduras o contusiones, pero existen otros más graves que tienen su origen en la imprudencia. A este respecto se recomienda no tirarse de cabeza en lugares donde se desconozca la profundidad, especialmente desde toboganes o trampolines.

Evite los juegos violentos tanto dentro del agua como en las proximidades.

Para evitar los cortes de digestión deje pasar dos horas después de las comidas y métase en el agua poco a poco.

Take care when using swimming pools When summer arrives, one of the most common ways to beat the heat is to make your way to the nearest pool. In order for this to be an entirely positive experience it is important to bear in mind the following precautions. In the swimming pool you are sharing the water with many others. Another important point to mention is the accidents that can occur while in the pool. It is essential to take care on entering the water. The most common injuries are strains and bruises, but there are others that are caused by recklessness. With this in mind it is advisable not to dive into a pool when you do not

know how deep the water is, especially from slides or boards. Avoid violent games both in and around the water. In order to avoid indigestion, leave a few hours after eating before calmly entering the pool, little by little.
