En las últimas semanas se llevado a cabo varios acontecimientos en Sotogrande, de diversas temáticas y gustos, claro está, que dejan un contraste fantástico en la zona y cara tanto al residente como al vecino próximo o turista que decide acercarse a pasar unos días en este único enclave. Citas como torneos de polo, golf, pádel, un Campeonato de España de Vela o incluso una feria gastronómica con uno de los mayores majares que tiene el sur de España, el atún. De todos ellos se puede ver un reflejo en las páginas de esta edición. Propuestas diferentes para todos los gustos y edades, actividad y dinámica, buenas propuestas al fin de todo. Llegado a este razonamiento, sólo hacía falta echar un vistazo al entorno. El Puerto plagado de

visitantes disfrutando de una magnífica feria, enhorabuena a los organizadores y a su nueva ubicación (Ribera del Marlin), con muchas facilidades y más sentido. El ambiente a media tarde y en la última jornada, de la mano con el Mercadillo Dominical, fue estupendo. Una iniciativa que podía repetirse con otros sones a lo largo de este verano, sin duda. Levantar la vista y mirar al mar, con ese tremendo paisaje que dejan las competiciones de regata, igual que Santa María Polo Club, que está agitando y mucho desde primavera las competiciones de polo en Sotogrande. Ahora propone tres domingos de polo en familia. Todo movimiento y generación de contenidos en la zona tiene una repercusión positiva. En el Informe de esta edición del perió-

Over the last few weeks, a wide range of diﬀerent events catering for all tastes have been taking place in Sotogrande, leaving a fantastic impression on the area both for residents, and those living in nearby areas, as well as tourists who decide to spend a few days un this unique place. The events include polo, golf and padel tournaments, the Spanish Sailing Championship and a gastronomic fair with one of the best ingredients to be found in the south of Spain, tuna. All of these events have left their mark on the pages of this edition. They are diﬀerent proposals for all tastes and ages, activity and dynamism, good proposals at the end of the day. Having reached this opinion, it was just necessary to have a look around the area. The Port full of visitors enjoying

a magnificent fair, thanks to the organisers and the new location (Ribera del Marlin), with lots of facilities and more common sense. The atmosphere in the middle of the afternoon, and on the last day with the Sunday Market, was incredible. Without doubt, this is an initiative that could be repeated in different ways throughout the summer. Look up and gaze at the sea, with the tremendous sight of the regatta competitions, or you could look to Santa María Polo Club that has been buzzing with activity since spring with the polo competitions in Sotogrande. It is now offering three Sundays of family polo. All kinds of activity and creation of things to do in the area have a positive effect. In the Report in this edition of the

newspaper, we look at the good and indeed very good prospects of the property sector in Sotogrande. Without doubt, this is one of the best ways of evaluating the potential and appeal of the area. It is time to carry on moving in the right direction and have worthy proposals in order to increase the unique and exclusive value of a place like Sotogrande. We need to carry on upwards. Also, the next edition of the Periódico de Sotogrande, that will come out on 2 July will be the 300th publication. This is a chance to congratulate and celebrate the readers for their loyalty and trust in us and for maintaining their support for this publication. The edition will have something special, and we are already working on it. However, before then, we would like to say “Thank you” in advance.

Las hogueras de San Juan Estamos a unos días de que termine la primavera del 2015, y obviamente le demos la bienvenida al caluroso verano, esto se supone, ya que estos días de junio mas bien se parecen más al inicio de la estación floral, incluso con lluvias que dejaron las playas casi desiertas este último fin de semana. Por tal motivo las 1 José Luis García hogueras de San Juan Editor/Director son el verdadero icono jlgarcia@grupohcp.com del pistoletazo de salida para el ansiado verano que todos deseamos: residentes, visitantes, negocios hosteleros y de servicios, además de cuantos vivimos en cierta medida de la estación estival como centro hegemónico de la economía de la zona. Todo se ve mucho mejor acondicionado que en otras épocas, calles asfaltadas y pintadas, palmeras muy bien “peinadas”, jardines y setos recortados, así hasta un sinfín de actuaciones que

embelesen nuestra entrañable Urbanización. Y por supuesto los propios negocios han acometido tareas de reformas y nuevas adaptaciones para mostrar su mejor cara y captar a cuantos más clientes mejor. Sólo algunos detalles quedan en el tintero, y estos son los mas relevantes y necesarios; estos son el caso de las zonas de parking, entre otros, ya que se avecina un verano muy complicado para acercarse a las playas y zonas de afluencia pública con motivo de las fuertes temperaturas. Mientras que Pueblo Nuevo tiene normalmente los días laborables un exceso de vehículos y es complicado aparcar en las zonas próximas de la zona comercial, es de recibo decir que en las calles colindantes aún se puede conseguir aparcar, aunque algunas veces en lugares no acondicionados. En cambio, y como así nos reconoció el propio alcalde en la entrevista de la pasada edición, el problema del parking en Torreguadiaro sigue siendo un problema mayor. Hizo especial hincapié en la zona del antiguo cuartel de la Guardia Civil, donde se puede emprender un proyecto de concesión administrativo para proyectar un parking subterráneo o bien aéreo. Y por otra parte, el acceso al existente en el paseo marítimo de Torreguadiaro, le sugerimos que la entrada se podría adaptar a la inversa, es decir, por la zona mas próxima al bulevar de Torreguadiaro, al menos daría psicológicamente una mayor proximidad a los comercios que demandan este servicio para evitar incomodidades y denuncias a sus clientes por aparcar inapropiadamente.

Ésta, y otras actuaciones de interés, serán una cuestión que el nuevo equipo de gobierno deberá tener en cuenta, así como trabajar pensando que la zona norte de San Roque es uno de los grandes valores turísticos que nos distinguen de otros municipios y provincias. No todo el mundo puede gozar del prestigio de tener en su término entidades con los valores de Sotogrande, Valderrama, Santa María Polo Club o Ayala España, entre otras entidades; así como otras empresas afines al sector turístico con tanta repercusión universal. Confiamos que la nueva gestión municipal, que coincide con el reciente gobierno de Andalucía, ahora con cuatro años por delante nos ofrezca un futuro prometedor con luz y taquígrafo para posicionarnos como la zona líder en turismo de calidad. Por tal motivo, para la próxima noche de las hogueras de San Juan, os invitamos que arrojen al fuego todos los malos rollos y promesas incumplidas, para que después, a la luz de la luna con los pies mojados por las aguas mediterráneas, pidamos trabajo, bienestar y calidad de vida con gente entusiasmada. Todos somos importantes, todos sumamos.

While Pueblo Nuevo is normally overcrowded with vehicles on working days and it is difficult to park near the shopping area, it should be said that it is still possible to part in the adjoining streets, even if sometimes it means parking in inappropriate places. However, as the mayor himself admitted in an interview in the last issue, the parking problem in Torreguadiaro remains a major issue. He mentioned the area of the former Civil Guard barracks, where council authorisation might be given to build an underground or multi-story car park. Equally, for access to the existing parking on Torreguadiaro’s seafront promenade, we wonder if the entrance could be swapped around, or in other words, moved the area near Bulevar de Torreguadiaro; psychologically, at least, it would make it feel closer to the business that need this service to avoid inconvenience and complaints against their customers for parking inappropriately. This and other initiatives of interest will be a question that the new governing body must bear in mind, and they must also consider that the northern part of San Roque is one of the area’s great tourism resources that distinguish

it from other municipalities and provinces. Not everyone can boast that they have in their area organisations as remarkable as Sotogrande, Valderrama, Santa María Polo Club and Ayala España, among others, as well as other companies operating in the tourist industry with such universal appeal. We trust that the new municipal administration, which coincides with the recent Andalusian Government, now with four years ahead, will offer us a promising future to position ourselves as a leading destination for quality tourism. On the next night of the San Juan bonfires we therefore invite you to throw any bad feelings and broken promises into the flames, before, in the moonlight and with your feet wet with Mediterranean waters, ask for work, well-being and quality of life with enthusiastic people. We’re all important, we all count. We hope you enjoy our area and keep coming. Welcome to Sotogrande and be happy.

The San Juan bonfires There are just a few days left of spring and of course we welcome the hot summer, or at least that’s what we assume, because recently it has seemed more like the beginning of the flowering season, even with rain that left the beaches almost deserted last weekend. So the San Juan bonfires are the iconic event that kicks off the long-awaited summer that we all want: residents, visitors, hospitality and service businesses, as well as those of us who to a certain extent make a living from the summer season as the focal point of the local economy. Everything looks much better than in previous times, with surfaced and painted roads, very well pruned palm trees, trimmed gardens and hedgerows and plenty of initiatives that have made our beloved resort more attractive. And of courses the businesses that have undergone renovations and improvements to show their best face and attract as many customers as possible. Only a few details are still in the pipeline, but they are the most significant and necessary, such as the parking areas, among others, with a very difficult summer ahead when it comes to accessing beach and busy areas with the high temperatures.

ción de este evento, en el que se dieron cita más de 35 expositores con obras de arte y objetos artesanos que también estaban disponibles para ser adquiridos por los asistentes a la cita. Los presentes disfrutaron en uno de los espacios más emblemáticos de Sotogrande de una una agradable jornada

con entrada gratuita, aparcamiento, bar, refrescos y arte, en especial, mucho arte.

The DFAS de la Frontera Art Festival shines at La Cabaña in Sotogrande The art fair dazzled in Sotogrande. The La Cabaña restaurant in Sotogrande (formerly the Cortijo Valderrama, next to Sotogrande Riding Centre), hostel the Art Festival organized by DFAS de la Frontera.

This fantastic space was the perfect setting for the celebration of the seventh edition of the event, in which more than 35 exhibitors participated with works of art and craft object that were also on sale to those attending the event.

In one of Sotogrande’s most iconic spaces, visitors enjoyed a pleasant day with free entry, parking, a bar, cold drinks, art, indeed, lots of art.

Se archiva el caso de la mujer e hija encontradas muertas en Sotogrande La falta de más de indicios determina que no hubo violencia de género; su pareja, que fue detenido, falleció de un fallo cardiaco en los calabozos 1 M. Gil

El juzgado decreta el archivo del caso de la mujer e hija encontradas muertas en una casa de Sotogrande el pasado 5 de marzo de 2014. La falta de más evidencias o indicios que pudieran mostrar más luz sobre este asunto, clave para archivar el caso con los informes existentes hasta el momento. Estos determinaron que la mujer se suicidó y que la hija fue víctima de un homicidio (asfixiada). La pareja sentimental de la mujer (hombre de 53 años también de origen belga como la familia), fue detenido tras ser encontrado, momentos después de que descubrieran ambos cuerpos, vagando por la Urbanización con cortes y heridas. El hombre murió víctima

de fallo cardiaco a la mañana siguiente de ingresar en el calabozo. En sus primeras declaraciones, el detenido argumentó en todo momento que él no había asesinado a su pareja y a su hija,

sino que el grave momento económico por el que atravesaba la familia les llevó a la desesperada conclusión de quitarse la vida y también la de su hija; aunque finalmente él no había sido capaz.

Durante los primeros momentos, los indicios apuntaron a un caso de violencia de género por parte del detenido. La familia, que llevaba dos años residiendo en España aunque sólo unas semanas en Sotogrande, se en-

contraba en una vivienda de alquiler a la que no podían hacer frente y debían abandonar. La falta de más pruebas o indicios y la escasa o nula relación con la comunidad, dejaron pocas opciones de esclarecer aún más los hechos que el de el suicidio de la mujer (de 51 años) y el homicidio de la menor de edad. Por lo que queda archivado el caso y no constará como un caso de violencia machista. En su momento, se desplazó hasta Sotogrande una unidad especial de investigación de la Guardia Civil experta en este tipo de casos. En todo momento se descartó que hubiera pruebas de un asalto o robo en la vivienda, como causas posibles.

It was determined that the woman committed suicide and the daughter was murdered

(asphyxiation). The woman’s partner (a 53-year-old male and Belgian native, just like the family) was arrested after being found wandering around the urbanisation with cuts and wounds moments after the two bodies were discovered. The morning after being placed in a cell, the man died of a cardiac arrest. In his initial statement, the suspect insisted that he had not

killed his partner or her daughter, but rather the family’s precarious financial situation led them to make the hopeless decision of taking their own lives, as well as that of the young girl; although in the end he was unable to bring himself to committing suicide. During the initial stages of the investigation, the evidence pointed to it being a case of gender-based violence commit-

ted by the suspect. The family, who had been residing in Spain for two years but had only been living in Sotogrande for a few weeks, were renting a home beyond their financial means that they needed to leave. The lack of clues or evidence coupled with the family’s non-existent relationship with the rest of the community, made it very difficult to conclude anything further than the

woman’s suicide (51-years-old) and the homicide of the young girl. As a result, the case has been filed away and has not been recorded as a domestic violence incident. During the investigation, a unit of the Civil Guard that specialises in these kinds of cases travelled to Sotogrande. Throughout their investigations they discarded assault or robbery as possible causes.

EntidadUrbanisticaConservación Campaña de asfaltado y mejora de viales Como continuación de nuestro programa de asfaltado se han estado ejecutando trabajos de mejora de viales. En esta ocasión los hemos concentrado en los meses de Mayo y Junio y se han realizado en diferentes zonas de la urbanización. Los trabajos han consistido en la reposición de la capa de rodadura y en algunos casos el saneo y la eliminación de raíces que han invadido el vial. En este momento estamos trabajando en la reposición de las cunetas tras lo cual habrá concluido la actuación hasta después del verano. En esta ocasión se ha actuado en

tramos de la calle Alvarado, calle Pedro el Grande, calle Duero, Avda. de los Cortijos, Avda. Almenara y zona de Tenisol. Como siempre continuamos programando nuevas actuaciones, posiblemente incluso dentro de este año, siempre con la mira en no sobrepasar nuestro presupuesto. Agradecerles, desde la EUC Parques de Sotogrande la paciencia que han tenido con los cortes de circulación y las esperas que hayan tenido que realizar. Tras los trabajos de asfaltado realizaremos el pintado de la señalización horizontal de los viales de la urbanización.

Asphalting and road improvement campaign As a continuation of our asphalting program, road improvement work is being carried out. On this occasion work was concentrated over the months of May and June and was carried out in the Parks 1 and Parks 2 areas. The work consisted in replacing the tread layer and in some cases cleaning up and eliminating roots that had spread onto the road. At the moment we are working on replacing the gutters and this work will finish up after summer. On this occasion, work has been carried out on stretches of Calle

Alvarado, Calle Pedro el Grande, Calle Duero, Avenida de los Cortijos, Avenida Almenara and the Tenisol area. As per always, we continue to plan new work, possibly even with year, and always focused on not exceeding our budget. We at the Urban Conservation Entity for Sotogrande Parks would like to thank you for the patience that you have had with traffic cuts, and the waiting that you have been subjected to. Following the asphalting work, we will paint the horizontal signage in the resort.

dad, a su disposición 24 horas al día durante todo el año, se limiten a asuntos directamente relacionados con la seguridad de la urbanización, mejorando así la eﬁcacia del servicio.

Un ronqueo en directo, momento cumbre de la II Feria del Atún en Sotogrande Las actuaciones en directo, el concurso de tapas y el buen ambiente durante todo el evento, las notas más destacadas de esta segunda edición ✑ Manuel Gil

La celebración en la última jornada, de esta segunda Feria del Atún en Sotogrande, de un ronqueo en directo centró uno de los principales atractivos del evento este domingo, 7 de junio. Tras una fuerte jornada inaugural y un sábado lleno de actividades con música en directo, actuaciones y hasta la reproducción de la ﬁnal de la Championes League, el plato fuerte se esperaba para la jornada de clausura. Con más de un centenar de curiosos rodeando la carpa principal de la Feria, dos ronqueadores profesionales, de la empresa patrocinadora del evento Herpac, lleva-

ron a cabo el ronqueo de un ejemplar de más de 130 kilos de peso ante la expectación y preguntas realizadas sobre la marcha por los presentes. Un fantástico evento que llamó la atención de los asistentes en una de las jornadas más concurridas de la feria, apoyado también en el público que acude a la Riberal del Marlin de Puerto de Sotogrande de manera dominical para disfrutar del Mercadillo de Sotogrande. Un asombroso espectáculo en directo que agradecieron los presentes que prosiguieron con la ruta de tapas de este manjar del mar, a lo largo de

los diferentes puestos de la feria. La elección de la mejor tapa, punto ﬁnal de la II Feria del Atún en Sotogrande. El Restaurante Don Benito se alzó con el primer puesto con su ‘Lomo de Atún a la plancha con salmorejo cordobés’; la segunda posición fue para el Restaurante La Taberna por sus ‘Milhojas de la huerta con atún maridado’. Restaurante Tango’s (The San Roque Suites Hotel) con un “atún rojo a la mar y tierra”, tercer premio.

The live preparation of a tuna, highpoint of the II Tuna Fair in Sotogrande The live performances, tapas competition and good atmosphere throughout the event were the standout aspects of the second edition. On Sunday 7 June, the last day of the second Tuna Fair in Sotogrande, the live preparation of a tuna became one of the events key attractions. After a strong opening day and a Saturday full of live music, with the Champions League ﬁnal also shown, the main event lay in wait for the closing day. With more than one hundred curious onlookers in the Fair’s main tent, two professional preparers, from the event’s sponsoring company Herpac, carried out the preparation of a specimen weighing more

than 130 kg faced with the expectation of and questions there and then from those present. It was a fantastic event that really captured the attention of these in attendance on one of the fair’s busiest days that was also boosted by the people who go to Ribera del Marlin in Sotogrande Harbour on a Sunday in order to enjoy Sotogrande’s little market. The event was an amazing live spectacle that onlookers really appreciated before carrying on with a tapas route

along the diﬀerent stands at the fair, all revolving around tuna. The selection of the best tapas was the last event of the II Tuna Fair in Sotogrande. Restaurante Don Benito took top prize for its “Grilled tuna steak with Cordovan salmorejo (cold tomato and bread soup). Second place was won by Restaurante La Taberna for its ‘Vegetable garden millefeuille with marinated tuna” Restaurante Tango’s (The San Roque Suites Hotel) won third prize with “earth and sea blue ﬁn tuna”.

La Caixa incrementa su presencia y prestaciones en la zona La entidad prepara planes especiales para clientes internacionales y fomenta su obra social en el Valle del Guadiaro ✑ M. Gil

La Caixa se convierte en la entidad financiera con más presencia en Andalucía y por ende en el Valle del Guadiaro. A principios de este año, La Caixa anunció la integración de la filial española de Barclays (una de las entidades de mayor concurrencia en Sotogrande), a excepción de su banca de inversiones y de negocio de tarjetas de créditos. Una absorción que concluyó a mitad del pasado mayo y que ya se puede comprobar en oficinas como la de la vía de servicio de Pueblo Nuevo, que ya figura como La Caixa. El director territorial de Andalucía Occidental de La Caixa, Rafael Herrador Martínez, pasó por Sotogrande y explicó a este periódico las diferentes novedades

que pretenden poner en marcha en la zona. “Incrementar la presencia de cajeros, un servicio de calidad y planes para los clientes internacionales”, son algunas de las propuestas que detalla Herrador, el cual asegura que debe tomarse este cambio con toda tranquilidad, “las caras y la atención serán la mismo y mejor”. “Con el plan HolaBank, pretendemos ser la entidad referencia en el sector de clientes internacionales, va dirigida a aquellas personas que residen durante todo o parte del año en España, una propuesta muy importante para una zona como Sotogrande”, detalla Herrador. “Este servicio permite a los clientes operar las 24 horas, con servicios de red de oﬁcinas y

canales electrónicos (cajeros, móviles, internet,…); todo ello supondrá grandes beneﬁcios para los cliente”, remarca. Además, haciendo referencia a la Obra Social de La Caixa, informó que este año se repetirán los 500 millones de euros en ayudas (90% destinado a colectivos marginales y pobreza). “En la zona colaboramos con comedores y otras entidades, además, especialmente en el Valle del Guadiaro, estamos dispuestos a escuchar y valorar propuestas e ideas que supongan iniciativas positivas”, subraya. La actividad en la sucursal de Pueblo Nuevo, se traslada a la antigua sede Barclays (en la vía de servicio), desde la que operará en Pueblo Nuevo.

Soto Cats Rescue avanza en su labor de atención a gatos en Sotogrande 1 Manuel Gil

La Asociación Soto Cats Rescue continúa dando importantes pasos en su labor sin ánimo de lucro, por una mejor y más responsable atención a las comunidades de felinos en Sotogrande. Esta entidad que como objetivo también tiene potenciar el nombre de Sotogrande, desarrollando un proyecto innovador que generará limpieza y un mejor aspecto de las zonas donde se encuentran colonias de gatos. Soto Cats Rescue también presenta novedades y anima a sumarse a participar en ella a vecinos, empresarios y residentes de la zona. Según informa la asociación, ya cuenta con un acuerdo con Sotogrande S.A. para la cesión de un espacio habilitado para la alimentación de gatos en la ribera del río Guadiaro. Además,

también ha conseguido encauzar con el Hotel Almenara los diferentes pasos para establecer otro espacio dedicado a la población felina de dicha zona. Un acuerdo que ya contempla su ubicación y sólo restan definir la metodología a emplear en su mantenimiento y habilitación. Para implicarse en todos estos frentes, Soto Cats Rescue se basa en el altruismo y las colaboraciones desinteresadas, a través de campañas de ‘crowfunding’.

Así como también cualquier tipo de donaciones, como: atención veterinaria, alimento, medicinas, aporte de materiales para la construcción de dichos espacios, etc. A través de su página web:www.sotocatsrescue.com se puede conocer toda la información sobre las asociación y las diferentes vías de colaboración, en las campañas de recaudación que tiene habilitadas para seguir adelante con esta labor de impacto positivo para la comunidad.

La Guardia Civil detiene a dos personas por transporte de droga en la A-7 1 Redacción

Agentes de la Guardia Civil de la Comandancia de Algeciras detuvieron a dos personas como presuntas autoras de dos delitos contra la salud pública. Uno de los detenidos llevaba a droga estaba dentro de una botella de plástico que llevaba en el maletero del vehículo, interviniéndole también 5 gramos de cocaína y un arma prohibida. Las detenciones tuvieron lugar en un dispositivo en prevención de la delincuencia en la autovía A-7 dirección Málaga, en el término municipal de San Roque. En la primera actuación pararon a un turismo y tras realizar un registro del vehículo en el que encuentran en el interior de una botella de plástico que lle-

vaba en el maletero 46 bellotas de hachís. El conductor fue detenido como presunto autor de un delito contra la salud pública hallándole además 5 gramos de cocaína que portaba en un bolsillo del pantalón y un arma prohibida (navaja cuya hoja excede de 11 cm). En la segunda, tras detener a un vehículo e identificar a su conductor, se llevó a cabo una inspección del vehículo, localizando en su interior, en la parte baja del airbag del copiloto una tableta de hachís de 100 gramos y un trozo de 30 gramos. El conductor, natural de Bizkaia, fue detenido como presunto autor de un delito contra la salud pública. Las actuaciones han sido llevadas a cabo por el G.R.S- 2.

The Civil Guard arrest two people for transporting narcotics on the A-7 Civil Guard officers from the Algeciras command headquarters arrested two people suspected of committing crimes against public health. One of the detained was carrying drugs inside a plastic bottle in the boot of the vehicle, and was also caught with 5 grams of cocaine and an illegal weapon. The arrests fell under the remit of crime prevention on the A-7 motorway towards Malaga, on the outskirts of the municipality of San Roque. The first discovery was made when police stopped a car and performed a background check on the vehicle in which they then found a plastic bottle in the boot containing 46 hashish pellets.

The driver was detained under suspicion of endangering public health and was also found with 5 grams of cocaine in his trouser pocket as well as an illegal weapon (a knife with a 11cm-long blade). In the second incident, having detained a vehicle and identified the driver, a search of the vehicle was carried out, which result in the discovery of a 100-gram bar of hashish as well as a further 30 grams in the lower section of the passenger seat’s airbag. The driver, a Biscay native, was arrested under suspicion of committing a crime against public health. Both incidents were handled by G.R.S- 2.

Cuando ya se ha cumplido el ecuador del ejercicio de este año 2015, las sensaciones del sector inmobiliario en Sotogrande, una de las principales fuentes de desarrollo económico y crecimiento en la zona, apuntan hacia un balance positivo y a la posibilidad de que en fechas próximas se establezca un escenario de rentabilidad y confianza en este mercado. Por ello, El Periódico de Sotogrande se ha puesto en contacto con diferentes agentes y expertos en la materia inmobiliaria para exponer el contexto actual en el que se encuentra Sotogrande, la evolución del mercado hasta la fecha y que tendencia seguirá hasta final de año, la cual se presume que puede ser bastante positiva. Una confianza que debe respaldarse en los próximos meses con varios factores externos, a nivel de política internacional, cara al inversor extranjero,

The current situation leaves a positive impression. Having reached the half way point of 2015, the overall feeling in Sotogrande’s property market, which is one of the main sources of economic development and growth in the area, is a positive one, and there is a possibility of soon having profitability and confidence in this market. Therefore, the Periódico de Sotogrande has contacted different agents and property experts in order to get a an idea of the current situation in Sotogrande, the development of the market up until now and what the trend will be like until the end of the year. The prediction is that it will be quite positive. However, according to the experts, this trend should be measure and taken, with patient caution. The different conditioning factors that should surround the area (good time for investment, a principle for economy recovery, a good level of services, infrastructures, the installation of fibre optic internet, attractions, events, places of interest, outside image…) are beginning to really catch the attention of investors, putting Sotogrande in a privileged position in this regard. El Gobierno de Gibraltar publicó sobre la adjudicación del proyecto para la parcela de los rellenos del lado de Levante (Eastside Reclamation) y ya ultima las negociaciones con Camoren Holdings Limited para el desarrollo del proyecto Blue Water Gibraltar. Camoren es una empresa gibraltareña constituida por Leslie Allen-Vercoe y Michael Crisell para llevar a cabo el proyecto. Su valor total equivaldrá a una inversión en Gibraltar de alrededor de 1.100 millones de libras. Esto generará un gran número de empleos en la fase de construcción, así como para el funcionamiento del complejo una vez que finalice la fase de desarrollo. The Government of Gibraltar have granted the development of the “Blue Water” project The project, which has more than £1.1 billion of invesment, is creating luxury apartments, affordable housing, a five star hotel and an exlclusive marina, among other things. The Government of Gibraltar have published on the awarding of the project for the landfill site on the east coast (Eastside Reclamation) and are now finalising negotiations with Camoren Holdings Limited to develop the Blue Water Gibraltar project. Camoren is a company from Gibraltar that has been set up by Leslie Allen-Vercoe and Michael Crisell in order to carry out the project. The total value of the project will amount to an investment in Gibraltar of around £1.1 billion pounds.

This will create a large amount of employment during the construction phases, as well as in the complex once the development stage has finished. The project will consist in the construction of a tourist complex that will offer: more than 450 apartments and luxury studios; more than 1000 affordable residences that will be included in the public co-ownership scheme. There will be a marina for the sole use of superyachts; various commercial premises that will be taken up with business-

es, cafés and luxury restaurants; a five star hotel and a promenade that will connect the Eastern Beach with Catalan Bay, redirecting traffic on the Eastern side. The project will also include funding to build a

multi-storey car park in the La Caleta area, in order to help beach users. The funding for the project will come from outside of Gibraltar and represents the largest outside investment that Gibraltar has ever received and will

form the basis for economic growth. The property developer hopes that the Blue Water project will attract a lot of wealth to Gibraltar. At the moment, progress is being made to finalise contracts and draft contracts.

San Roque Club acoge una concentración del Comité Andaluz de Árbitros 1 Manuel Gil

Las instalaciones de San Roque Club acogieron el Curso de Ascenso a Categoría Nacional del Comité Andaluz de Árbitros, destinado a colegiados de Tercera División. Participaron los cuarenta árbitros que han quedado mejor clasificados en sus respectivas provincias. Fue la primera vez que se llevaba a cabo esta actividad en la provincia de Cádiz, lo que se logró gracias a las gestiones del subdelegado del Comité de Algeciras, el sanroqueño Juan Carlos Crespo.

Además de los 40 árbitros asistieron 27 directivos, alojándose todos en San Roque Club, donde también se llevaron a cabo las pruebas teóricas. Las prácticas se desarrollaron en las pistas del estadio municipal de La Línea. Por su parte, el presidente del Comité Andaluz de Árbitros, Felipe Santos, mostró su satisfacción por poder realizar este curso en lo que denominó “un paraje idílico”, y agradeció las atenciones recibidas.

San Roque Club hosts a meet up of the Andalusian Referee Committee The facilities at San Roque were the venue for the Andalusian Referee Committee’s National Level Division Promotion Course, aimed at referees working in the Third Division. Forty referees who are the top ranking officials in their provinces participated. It was the first time that this activity has taken place in the province of Cádiz, and that was achieved thanks to the management efforts of the sub-delegate of the Algeciras Committee, Juan Carlos Crespo, from San Roque.

In addition 40 referees, 27 managers attended and everyone stayed at San Roque Club where the theory tests were also taken. The practical tests were carried out at the pitches of La Línea municipal stadium. In turn, president of the Andalusian Referee Committee, Felipe Santos stated that he was very satisfied at being able to carry out the course at what he called an “idyllic spot” and was grateful for the care everyone received.

Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, cabeza de lista del PSOE en las Elecciones Municipales del pasado 24 de mayo, fue investido el sábado 13 de junio como alcalde de San Roque durante el Pleno de Constitución de la nueva Corporación Municipal. La sesión se llevó a cabo en el Teatro Juan Luis Galiardo ante abundante público. En el discurso protoclolario, el reelegido primer edil se comprometió a dialogar con la oposición, a mantener las políticas sociales y a luchar por salir de la crisis y crear riqueza y empleo “sin dejar a nadie atrás”. El pleno se inició con la constitución de la mesa de edad, que presidió la sesión hasta la elección del alcalde. Esta mesa estuvo integrada por el concejal más joven, el edil del PSOE David Ramos, y el concejal de más edad, el representante del PIVG Jesús Mayoral, con la presidencia de

la secretaria general, Ana Núñez de Cossío. Tras ello se examinó las credenciales de los concejales. Resaltar que el número 6 de la lista del PP, Daniel Rodríguez Ruiz, renunció previamente a tomar posesión del acta de concejal, por lo que corrió la lista un puesto a favor de José Luis Navarro Sampalo. Una vez realizado este examen se

procedió a la toma de posesión de cada uno de los concejales con la fórmula de juramento o promesa del cargo. Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, head of the PSOE list in the Municipal Elections held on 24 May, was sworn in on Saturday 13 June as Mayor of San Roque during the constituent Plenary Session of the new Municipal Corporation. The session took place in the Juan Luis Galiardo Theatre with in front of many public members. In his formal speech, the re-elected mayor stated his commitment to dialogue with the opposition, to maintain social policies and to fight in order to leave the crisis and create wealth and employment “without leaving anyone behind”. The plenary began with the constitution of the interim bureau that presided over the session until the election of the mayor. The bureau was comprised of the youngest councillor, the PSOE member David Ramos, and the oldest councillor, the PIVG representative Jesús Mayoral, and the president of it was the general secretary Ana Núñez de Cossío. Following that, the credentials of the councillors were studied. It should be stressed, the number 6 on the PP list, Daniel Rodríguez Ruiz, had abandoned the

opportunity to take possession of his councillor position, therefore the list skipped a place down to José Luis Navarro Sampalo. Once this examination had been carried out, each one of the councillors proceeded to take possession of their role, through oath or a pledge to their position. La Autoridad Independiente de Responsabilidad Fiscal Bajo este nombre se conoce a un ente de derecho público con personalidad jurídica propia y plena capacidad pública y privada, creado mediante la Ley Orgánica 6/2013 de 14 de noviembre, y cuyo fin es garantizar el cumplimiento efectivo por las Administraciones Públicas del principio 1 Luis Babiano de estabilidad presuAbogados / Lawyers puestaria. Sotogrande Por si no recuerdan, el principio de estabilidad presupuestaria fue introducido en el artículo 135 de la Constitución a través de una de las modificaciones constitucionales más rápidas de la historia del mundo democrático. Además este artículo de la Constitución ha sido objeto de desarrollo mediante la Ley Orgánica 2/2012 de Estabilidad Presupuestaria y Sostenibilidad Financiera (modificada a su vez por la Ley Orgánica 4/2012). El principal objetivo de toda esta legislación es garantizar la sostenibilidad financiera de todas las Administraciones Públicas, tanto del Estado como de las Comunidades Autónomas, Corporaciones Locales y Seguridad Social, transmitiendo una idea de igualdad en las exigencias presupuestarias, de responsabilidad y de lealtad institucional entre todas las Administraciones Públicas. Algunos de los principios generales establecidos son los siguientes: 1. Todas las Administraciones Públicas deben presentar equilibrio o superávit, sin que puedan incurrir en déficit estructural. No obstante, el Estado y las Comunidades Autónomas podrán presentar déficit estructural en las situaciones excepcionales tasadas en la Ley: Catástrofes

naturales, recesión económica o situación de emergencia extraordinaria, situaciones que deberán ser apreciadas por la mayoría absoluta del Congreso de los Diputados. 2. El gasto de las Administraciones Públicas no podrá aumentar por encima de la tasa de crecimiento de referencia del Producto Interior Bruto. Esta regla se completa con el mandato de que cuando se obtengan mayores ingresos de los previstos, éstos no se destinen a financiar nuevos gastos, sino que los mayores ingresos se destinen a una menor apelación al endeudamiento. 3. Se fija el límite de deuda de las Administraciones Públicas, ya que no podrá superar el valor de referencia del 60 por ciento del Producto Interior Bruto establecido en la normativa europea, salvo en las mismas circunstancias excepcionales en que se puede presentar déficit estructural (véase el apartado 1). 4. Se establece la prioridad absoluta de pago de los intereses y el capital de la deuda pública frente a cualquier otro tipo de gasto, tal y como establece la Constitución, lo que constituye una garantía rotunda ante los inversores. 5. Por último, se contemplan los informes sobre cumplimiento de los objetivos de estabilidad presupuestaria, de deuda pública y de la regla de gasto. Se informará sobre el cumplimiento de los objetivos tanto en los proyectos de Presupuesto, como en los Presupuestos iniciales y en su ejecución. La verificación del cumplimiento en las fases previas a la ejecución permitirá una actuación preventiva en caso de riesgo y la adopción, si fuera necesario, de medidas de corrección. Y precisamente, para velar por el cumplimiento de todas estas disposiciones legales es por lo que se crea La Autoridad Independiente de Responsabilidad Fiscal. Sus cometidos, expuestos de forma sumaria, serían los siguientes: a. Antes del 15 de octubre la Autoridad Independiente de Responsabilidad Fiscal hará público, para general conocimiento, el informe elaborado sobre la adecuación a los objetivos de estabilidad, de deuda y a la regla de gasto del proyecto de Presupuestos Generales del Estado.

b. Antes del 1 de abril de cada año, la Autoridad Independiente de Responsabilidad Fiscal, elevará al Gobierno un informe sobre el grado de cumplimiento de los objetivos de estabilidad presupuestaria y de deuda pública en los Presupuestos iniciales de las Administraciones Públicas. Aparte de ello se adoptan medidas preventivas automáticas de prevención con especial cuidado en la morosidad de pago a proveedores con especial atención a las Corporaciones Locales; estableciéndose que cuando el órgano interventor detecte que el período medio de pago de la Corporación Local supera en más de 30 días el plazo máximo de pago previsto en la normativa de morosidad durante dos meses consecutivos a contar desde la actualización de su plan de tesorería de acuerdo con lo previsto en el artículo 13.6, formulará una comunicación de alerta a la Administración que tenga atribuida la tutela financiera de las Corporaciones Locales y a la junta de gobierno de la Corporación Local. Junto a estas medidas automáticas “preventivas”, se contemplan en la ley también medidas “correctivas” y, finalmente, medidas “coercitivas” mediante la imposición forzosa de medidas de cumplimiento que pueden llegar hasta la disolución de los órganos de la Corporación Local. Para las medidas a tomar contra las Comunidades Autónomas será necesaria la decisión tomada por la mayoría absoluta del Senado. Como puede verse es un intento serio y responsable de meter en cintura a todas las Administraciones derrochadoras que, en gran parte, han llevado al país a la situación en la que se encuentra (aeropuertos que ni han llegado a ser usados, edificios suntuosos declarados en ruina pocos años después de su inauguración, líneas aéreas para conectar pequeñas capitales de provincia con ciudades europeas, etc). Esperemos que la recién estrenada Autoridad Independiente de Responsabilidad Fiscal sepa cumplir con los cometidos que le han sido asignados y entremos ya de una vez en la racionalidad del gasto público.

The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility is a body governed by public law and a separate legal entity with full public and private legal capacity. The Authority was created via Organic Law 6/2013 of 14 November and aims to guarantee effective budgetary stability in public authorities. We note that the principle of budgetary stability was introduced to article 135 of the Constitution in one of the fastest constitutional changes in the history of the democratic world. That particular article of the Constitution was then also altered with the introduction of Organic Law 2/2012 for Budgetary Stability and Financial Sustainability (which, in turn, was also modified by Organic Law 4/2012). The main objective of this new legislation is to guarantee the financial sustainability of all public authorities, including those associated with the State as well as those associated with individual autonomous communities, local entities, or the social security system. The new rules aim to promote a sense of equality, responsibility and loyalty across the budgetary restrictions and among all public authorities. The following are some of the general principles established: 1. All public authorities must maintain a balance or a surplus in their accounts, without incurring a structural deficit. However, the State and the Autonomous Communities may present a structural deficit in the exceptional circumstances allowed by the Law, namely natural disasters, economic recessions or in the event of an exceptional emergency. These cases must be sanctioned by an absolute majority in the Spanish Parliament. 2. Public spending must not increase above the nominal

potential growth rate of the economy’s gross domestic product. This rule is complemented by the mandate that if revenue increases above estimated levels, this must not be used to finance new projects but must be employed to decrease the level of debt. 3. The law stipulates that overall public spending must not exceed 60% of the GDP established in European regulations, except in the same aforementioned exceptional circumstances with regard to presenting a structural deficit (see section 1). 4. The rule gives absolute priority to the payment of public debt interest and capital expenses over other budgetary commitments, as established by the Constitution, which serves as a clear commitment to investors. 5. Lastly, the Authority will produce a series of reports into general compliance with the objectives on budgetary stability, public debt and careful spending. It will report on the level of achievement of these targets in the planning stages, as well as the draft and final versions of budgets. Verification of compliance in the early stages should allow for preventative action to be taken in case of risk and, if necessary, further corrective measures. The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility was created precisely to ensure compliance with each of these legal requirements. The following is a summary of its responsibilities: a. Before 15 October, 2014, the Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility will publish a study on the draft State Budget regarding its compliance with the objectives on budgetary stability, public debt and careful spending. b. Before 1 April each year, the Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility will submit a report to the

Government on the current degree of compliance with the objectives regarding budgetary stability and public debt in the draft budgets of the public authorities. Automatic preventative measures with regard to late payments to suppliers have also been carefully integrated, with special attention paid to Local Entities. It was established that should the controlling body detect that the average payment duration of a Local Entity exceeds the stipulated period for payment by more than 30 days for more than two consecutive months (following the enforcement of the treasury plan, in accordance with article 13.6), the body will then alert the authority charged with financial guardianship of the Local Entities as well as the governing body of the particular Local Entity. Along with these automatic “preventative” measures, the law also includes a series of “corrective” and “coercive” measures that could enforce compliance with the law, to the extent, if necessary, of dissolving elements of the Local Entity itself. To reach the point of taking such measures against a particular Autonomous Community would require an absolute majority in the Senate. It appears quite clear that this is a serious and conscientious attempt to pull into line those wasteful public authorities that have, to a great extent, brought this country to the situation in which it currently finds itself (airports that have never been used, luxurious buildings left abandoned just a few years after they first opened, whole airlines set up to connect small provincial capitals with the larger European cities, etc.). Let us hope that the newly formed Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility is able to fulfil the tasks that it has been set and that we manage to return a little rationality to public spending.

Las magníficas instalaciones de la zona de la Ribera del Marlin, en el Puerto de Sotogrande, acogieron (como nueva ubicación) la segunda edición de la Feria del Atún en Sotogrande. Un fantástico evento, por todo lo alto, que congregó durante las tres jornadas en las que celebró de un gran público en Sotogrande con numerosos actractivos. La Feria estuvo compuesta por diferentes restaurantes de la zona que participaron en la misma, con una tapa elaborada con este producto que los asistentes valoraron en un concurso. Además, se llevaron a cabo diferentes actividades paralelas, actuaciones en directo, y como punto central, en la última jornada, el ronqueo en directo de atún de más de 130 kilogramos.

Trocadero Sotogrande se convirtió en el escenario de la entrega de premios y cena de clausura del IX Campeonato de España de Vela Clase J80, celebrado en aguas de Sotogrande, un gran evento seguido a nivel nacional y que resultó todo un éxito.

El barco de Pepequín Orbaneja y Juan Luis Páez, ‘Da Bruno’, se alzó campeón de España. Además, recibió el trofeo como ganador del IV Circuito de J80 Grupo Trocadero, disputado también en Sotogrande a lo largo de varias pruebas desde otoño. El monotipo de Iñigo Jauregui y Mikel Vázquez, ‘Gold Sailing’, pese a comandar las dos primeras jornadas del Campeonato, finalizó en segunda posición.

El I Abierto Fundación Santa María Polo Club se llevó a cabo con gran éxito en las diferentes canchas de Santa María Polo Club. La jornada final, celebrada en Los Pinos, congregó a numeroso público para asistir a las finales en juego y a las diferentes actividades en familia, programadas para los tres domingos del mes de junio. La organización empresarial BNI (Business Network International) presentó su primer grupo en la provincia de Cádiz, concretamente el grupo BNI Desafío Campo de Gibraltar, en un acto al que asistieron más de 300 empresarios tanto de la zona como del resto de la provincia y también de Sevilla, Málaga y Huelva. En este acto empresarial de networking, celebrado en el Hotel Guadacorte Park, se dio a conocer tanto a este grupo, ubicado en la localidad de Los Barrios, como a BNI y su sistema de marketing ‘boca a boca’ para las empresas.

La puesta de largo se llevó a cabo en el Hotel Gran Meliá Don Pepe de Marbella, con la asistencia de profesionales del sector y de un gran elenco de arquitectos. Entre ellos, se encontraban varios de los estudios que operan desde Sotogrande, como ARK Arquitectos, McLundie o Jesús Herrera.

“La tecnología, como herramienta de aprendizaje” Los estudiantes de Primaria 3 acaban de completar la unidad de consulta llamada “Animales en peligro”. Esta unidad entra en el tema transdisciplinar PYP, Compartir el planeta. Los niños han trabajado en torno a la idea “La acción humana afecta a la supervivencia de los seres vivos“. Durante esta unidad, los profesores y los asistentes de clase han colaborado estrechamente con los pro-

fesores de música y los de información y tecnología de la comunicación. Al colaborar de esta forma, los estudiantes han podido trabajar juntos en su proyecto final para crear una animación en plastilina. Antes de hacer el proyecto de animación, los estudiantes accedieron y aprendieron nuevas habilidades. Planificaron y escribieron su propio storyboard y guión. Usaron “I

can Animate” para animar cada fotograma, en los que utilizaron sus propios fondos y modelos creados. Exploraron y emplearon distintos ángulos de cámara para poder enfatizar las acciones de cada escena. Después, exportaron la animación a un proyecto de música (GarageBand) y le añadieron voces y efectos de sonido. Por último, lo unieron todo (animación y audio) con “iMo-

vie” donde añadieron títulos y transiciones. A continuación, cargaron la película final a sus cuentas propias de Google Drive y

la compartieron en su sitio personal de Google para que amigos y familiares de todo el mundo pudieran verla.

“Technology, a tool for learning” The Primary 3 students have just completed their unit of inquiry entitled “Endangered Animals”. This unit falls into the PYP Transdisciplinary Theme,Sharing the Planet. The children worked around the central Idea, “Human action affects the survival of living things.“ During this unit the class

teachers and classroom assistants have worked closely with the ICT and Music specialist teachers. By collaborating in this way the students were able to work together on the final project of creating a plasticine animation. Prior to the animation project the students were exposed and taught many new skills.

They planned and wrote their own storyboards and scripts. They used “I can Animate” to animate each frame, where they used their own backgrounds and models they created. They explored and used different camera angles so that were able to emphasise actions for each scene. Next the students ex-

ported the animation into a music project (GarageBand) and added voices and sound effects. Finally, the students put everything together (animation and audio) in “iMovie” where they added there titles and transitions. This final group movie was then uploaded to each students Google drive account

and shared on their personal Google site so that they can show them to friends and family around the world.

CEIP Barbesula ¡Despedimos el curso 14-15! El próximo día 22 de junio, será el último día lectivo de clase para todos los escolares y en el CEIP Barbésula estamos preparando una despedida especial que comenzará desde por la mañana. A las 12:00h., celebraremos la FIESTA DE LA ESPUMA, en la que participará todo el alumnado del centro. Para ello, contaremos con la colaboración del Servicio de Bomberos del Campo de Gibraltar. Por la tarde, a las 17:00h., el centro abrirá sus puertas. A partir de esa hora, tendrá lugar el Acto de GRADUACIÓN del alumnado que finaliza la etapa de Infantil y también del alumnado que

finaliza la etapa de Primaria. A continuación habrá bailes, música, animaciones, castillos hinchables,….. La diversión está asegurada. La AMPA montará una barra y organiza por segundo año consecutivo la “VUELTA AL MUNDO” con platos típicos de cada país que todos podremos degustar. ¡¡¡OS ESPERAMOS!!!

Fire Service. In the afternoon the school will open its doors at 5 pm. From this time, the GRADUATION Ceremony for the pupils finishing the pre-school and primary school stages will take place. Then there will be dancing, music, entertainment, bouncy castles... The fun is guaran-

Sociedades civiles: cambio fiscal La Ley 27/2014 del Impuesto sobre Sociedades en relación con el Texto Refundido de la Ley del Impuesto sobre Sociedades aprobado por el Real Decreto Legislativo 4/2004, introduce en su art. 7, la incorporación al Impuesto sobre Sociedades a las sociedades civiles que tienen objeto mercantil. Anteriormente a la aprobación de esta Ley, este tipo de sociedades tributaban como contribuyentes del Impuesto sobre la Renta de las Personas Físicas a través del régimen de atribución de rentas. Este régimen de atribución de rentas suponía que la Sociedad Civil no tributaba por si misma por su rendimiento, sino que cada uno de los socios declaraba individualmente estos rendimientos en su IRPF, en la proporción que le correspondía respecto a su participación en

la sociedad, y la Sociedad Civil sólo declaraba como tal el IVA o las retenciones aplicadas a trabajadores o profesionales. Al dividirse el rendimiento obtenido por este tipo de entidades entre sus socios la carga impositiva se podía diluir, ya que dicho rendimiento se incorporaba a la declaración de la renta de cada uno de los partícipes, pero sólo en la proporción que correspondía a cada uno. Esto supone que el tipo impositivo a pagar variaba en cada caso, en función del resto de rendimientos que cada socio integrara en su declaración. Sin embargo, a partir de 2016, las Sociedades Civiles que realicen actividades mercantiles sí van a tributar por sí mismas por sus rendimientos, pues los deberán declarar en el Impuesto sobre Sociedades, al tipo del 25%, in-

dependientemente de la cantidad resultante. Teóricamente este nuevo régimen supondrá un pago mayor que hasta ahora pues, al dividir el rendimiento entre los socios, la cantidad a declarar será menor que si se declara el total por la propia sociedad, siendo lógicamente la cantidad menor cuantos más socios haya. Será cuestión particular de cada socio que, al incorporar el resultado que le corresponda a su declaración, con el resto de rendimientos, la cantidad a pagar sea mayor que la que correspondería si la declarara la propia sociedad, pero también es fácil concluir que en los casos en los que fiscalmente fuera más interesante que el beneficio lo declarara la sociedad en lugar de sus socios, éstos ya habrían convertido la Sociedad Civil en una Sociedad Limitada.

El futuro de este tipo de entidades societarias está en el aire, pues con este cambio fiscal entendemos que la opción de constituir una Sociedad Civil para desarrollar una actividad empresarial será menos interesante que la de constituir una Sociedad Limitada, pues no podemos olvidar que en las Sociedades Civiles los socios son responsables solidarios de las deudas de la Sociedad. Además, aún tendremos que esperar a que se regulen ciertos aspectos que han quedado en el aire, como por ejemplo cómo declararán los socios los rendimientos que perciban de la sociedad civil, inclusive si éstas entidades podrán aplicar las nuevas reservas que se contemplarían en el Impuesto de Sociedades, y que suponen un incentivo fiscal a la actividad, etc…

Civil Societies: tax change The Law 27/2014 concerning the Tax on Societies in relation to the Recast Text of the Law relating to Taxes on Societies approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004 introduces in article 7, the addition of the Tax on Societies to civil societies that have a commercial purpose. Prior to the passing of this Law, these type of companies paid personal income tax (IRPF) through the income allocation system. The income allocation system meant that the Civil Society did not pay tax itself based on its profits, rather, each of its members individually declared the profits in their personal income tax statement (IRPF), in proportion to what corresponded to

their participation stake in the society, and the Civil Society only declared the IVA and the retentions applied to workers and professionals. By dividing the profits obtained by this type of body between its members, the tax burden could be diluted down, as the profit was incorporated into the tax declaration of each of the participants, but only in the proportion that corresponded to each one. This meant that the rate of tax varied in each case, depending on the other profits that each member included in their tax statement. However, from 2016 onwards, Civil Societies that carry out business activities will pay taxes

to wait for regulation of certain aspects that are up in the air. For example, how members will declare profits made by the Civil Society, even if these companies can apply new reserves that would be outlined in the Law on Societies, and which amount to a tax incentive on activity, etc… Another big doubt that needs to be resolved is under what tax system would Communities of Assets with commercial interests be subjected to? - Estos días se ha podido comprobar la instalación de unas barandillas en las escaleras de acceso a la playa de Torreguadiaro. Una medida que parece no tener importancia pero que hace crecer en calidad y adaptabilidad a la playa.

- La celebración de la II Feria del Atún en Sotogrande dejó un gran ambiente en el Puerto de Sotogrande durante sus tres jornadas de duración. Este tipo de apuesta, con otros puntos centales, deben fomentarse para el atractivo turístico.

- Over the last few days, handrails have been installed on the stairs leading to Torreguadiaro beach. Although this measure appears insignificant, it improves the quality and adaptability of the beach.

- The II Tuna Fair in Sotogrande created a great atmosphere in the Port of Sotogrande during the three days when it took place. This type of event should be encouraged in other central points in order to increase the area’s tourism appeal.

- La entrada de la Plaza Itálica, junto a la vía de servicio en Pueblo Nuevo presenta un enorme socavón, muy difícil del salvar para los conductores. Algo que puede generar peligro y da una mala imagen de la zona.

- La avería de una tubería a la entrada de Pueblo Nuevo dejó sin agua durante casi 24 horas a buena parte de los vecinos. Una alta calidad de infraestructuras y servicios va en beneficio de la zona y de los inversores en propiedades.

- There is an enormous hole on the service road to the Plaza Itálica, next to the service road in Pueblo Nuevo that makes things difficult for drivers. This is dangerous and leaves a bad impression of the area.

- Damage to piping at the entrance to Pueblo Nuevo left a large part of the residents without water for almost 24 hours. High quality infrastructures and services would benefit the area and property investors.

Dos pruebas cerraron el Campeonato de España de J80 en aguas de Sotogrande. La competición dejó como ganador al barco “Da Bruno” de Pepequín Orbaneja y Juan Luis Páez, tras un efectivo golpe de efecto y el batacazo del “Gold Sailing”, que peridó el liderato provisional en la última jornada en la que pincha con un 12º y un 7º. El barco de Hondarribia armado por Iñigo Jauregui y capitaneado por Mikel Vázquez se quedó a un punto de la victoria que amasaba desde la primera jornada y prueba, y firma el subcampeonato, seguido del tercer ocupante de podio, el barco “Bribón-Movistar” de Marc de Antonio y Sofía Bertrand que se despide con su mejor jornada con un 3º y un 2º. ‘Da Bruno’ wins J80 National Championship in Sotogrande “Gold Sailing” and “Bribón-Movistar” join the monotype from CN Sevilla on the podium Two events closed out the Spanish J80 Championship in Sotogrande. The winner of the competition was the “Da Bruno” boat skippered by Pepequín Orbaneja and Juan Luis Páez, after an effective shock and a blow to “Gold Sailing” who lost their provisional lead on the last day with poor 12th and 7th place finishes. The Hondarribia boat, owned by Iñigo Jauregui and captained by Mikel Vázquez ended up one point from a victory they had been close to since the first day and event, and they took the runner-up spot. They were followed by the third place “Bribón-Movistar” boat with Marc de Antonio and Sofía Bertrand that ended the event with their best day, a 3rd place and 2nd place finish. The “Da Bruno” really took advantage of the last day, focused on winning the title with two almost perfect races, where they got a 2nd and 1st place finish. In the first event of the day (seventh in the championship), the win by Tomás Puerta’s “LLenaire” , a boat that was not in the fight for the win and the 12th

place finish by “Gold Sailing” left the latter boat in a difficult position but still leaders, with a five point advantage over “HM Hotels” and “Da Bruno”. In the second, and final heat of the championship,

a 7th place from the Hondarribia boat, an 8th place from “HM Hotels”, a 2nd from “Bribon-Movistar” and the win from “Da Bruno”, sealed the definitive rankings with the home side beating

the Basques by one point, while “Bribón-Movistar” and “HM Hotels” came third and fourth respectively, on even points. It was a special weekend for the men of the “Da Bruno”.

Finishing touch at the Trocadero Sotogrande, with the prize giving ceremony The party ended for the J80 Spanish Championship in Sotogrande with the prize giving ceremony that took place at the Trocadero Sotogrande facilities. Manuel Moyano, director of Bevelle Náutica, was in charge of overseeing an event that was attended by the participating crews, as well as representatives of the organizing committee, collaborators and sponsors. The team of the “Da Bruno” boat owned by Pepèquín Orbaneja and Juan Luis Páez, along with its crew members José Miguel Segura and Mané Carlier Flethes, were the stars of the night as they received the two prizes awarded for being champions of the IV Grupo Trocadero J80 Circuit, held throughout the winter in Sotogrande, and the brand new J80 Spanish champions. They won the national title on the third and final day of the tournament that took place on Saturday in Sotogrande. There were also awards for the second and third placed boats in the Spanish championship, “Gold Sailing” of Hondarribia and “Bribón Movistar”, respectively.

In addition to the National Trophy, they also received the winner’s trophy for the IV J80 Grupo Trocadero Circuit at the prize giving ceremony held at the Trocadero Sotogrande.

El Club de Golf La Cañada acogió una nueva prueba de los Circuitos Juvenil y Benjamín de Andalucía, con un gran éxito de participación de promesas de todas la categorías. Destacó el triunfo en la categoría infantil de la jugadora de La Cañada, Mimí Rhodes que se hizo con la victoria en la clasiﬁcación femenina gracias a un total de 74 golpes,

mientras que –con un golpe más- el jugador federado por el Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, David Waller, se ha hecho con el triunfo en la clasiﬁcación masculina. Pasando, por último, a la clasiﬁcación benjamín, los jugadores locales brillaron gracias a las victorias de Marta Aguilar y Alberto Baños, con 51 y 43 golpes, respectivamente. The Under-19 and Under-10 Andalusian Circuits have held another event at La Cañada Golf Club The La Cañada Golf Club hosted another even on the Under-19 and Under-10 Andalusian Circuits, with a successful level of participation and promising young hopefuls in all of the categories. In the Under-19 category, there was an outstanding triumph from the La Cañada player, Mimí Rhodes who took victory in the women’s tournament with 74

La Caixa Banca Privada y Grupo HCP sellan su acuerdo de apoyo al Circuito de Golf La Revista de Sotogrande La Caixa Banca Privada cerró protocolariamente, con una firma realizada en la Casa Club de La Reserva de Sotogrande (sede de la próxima prueba el 27 de junio), su apuesta de apoyo y colaboración con Grupo HCP para el Circuito de Golf La Revista de Sotogrande. Una alianza que se lleva a cabo por segundo año consecutivo entre el grupo editorial y la entidad bancaria. La firma la ejecutaron Rafael Herrador Martínez, director territorial en Andalucía Occidental de La Caixa, y José Luis García Iglesia, presidente y editor de Grupo HCP. Herrador, tras autografiar el documento, expuso

las diferentes causas que motivan a la entidad a potenciar esta actividad en Sotogrande. “La Caixa tiene como uno de sus objetivos apoyar los eventos y acontecimientos más emblemáticos de cada zona, algo que ya ocurre en el Teatro Falla en Cádiz, la Real Maestranza en Sevilla, entre otros por mencionar algunos ejemplos. El golf es sin duda una de las grandes señas de identidad que tiene Sotogrande y debíamos estar presentes”, afirma el directivo. “Nos atrajo la vistosidad y sello de confianza que supone que el circuito lo organice Grupo HCP. Además, no

está localizado en un solo sitio, está en continuo movimiento por los diferentes campos en los que celebra sus puestas y ello nos interesa”, afirma. “Y por supuesto, suma al propio evento su visibilidad y repercusión en las cabeceras del grupo (La Revista de Sotogrande, El Periódico de Sotogrande, plataforma digital…), todo ello lo dota de gran valor”, añade. “Nuestra experiencia el año pasado fue fantástica y no hemos dudado en continuar prestando nuestro apoyo. Equus sale vencedor del I Abierto Fundación Santa María Polo Club Los Dragones se alzan con el Memorial Andrés Parladé, en el primer ﬁn de semana del Abierto, con Torneo Infantil y actividades para la familia ✑ Manuel Gil

Gran éxito en la celebración del primer Abierto Fundación Santa María Polo Club, el primero de los tres fines de semana que componen este evento (los siguientes serán 21 y 28 de junio), con mucha actividades y diferentes acontecimientos. Un fin de semana cargado de acción deportiva que tuvo su cumbre en la jornada dominical con las actividades del ‘Family Day’. En el apartado deportivo, el cuarteto Equus (P. Silling, Rosendo Torreguitar, J. Britos y Martín Iturraspe) se alzaron con el I Abierto Fundación Santa María, tras derrotar en una reñida final al cuarteto de Dr. A por un ajustado 10 a 9. Destacar que la competición

ligó su inicio y final en la zona de Los Pinos, con la jornada intermedia celebrada en Puente de Hierro. En cuanto al Memorial Andrés Parladé, que se celebró simultáneamente, también intercalando sus encuentros en las canchas de Rio con la gran final en Los Pinos, cayó en manos de Los Dragones. El cuarteto formado por Piñal/ Nulty, Mariano Iturrioz, Diogo Gallego y Carla Álvarez se impuso en la final al equipo de Polo Valley por un marcador de 9 a 5. Además, la jornada dominical, con la disputa de las finales, estuvo protagonizada por un gran ambiente en la denominada Zona A (la entrecancha en la que habitualmente se encuentra el After

Polo). Con puestos comerciales (moda, joyería, bisutería…), una zona de restauración y diferentes espacios habilitados para los más pequeños. Que además disfrutaron de un Torneo Infantil de Polo y de varias actividades, de la mano del Colegio Internacional de Sotogrande. Todos los beneﬁcios están destinados al Centro de Hipoterapia Fundación Santa María Polo Club. Audi Center Campo de Gibraltar, también estuvo presente en la cita colaborando con el evento.

Los Dragones win the Andrés Parladé Memorial Tournament on the first week of the Open, which also included an Under-14 tournament and activities for the family The first of the three weekends of the I Santa María Polo Club Foundation Open was a great success (the next weekends will be on 21 and 28 of June) with lots of activities and different events. It was a weekend packed with sporting action that culminated on Sunday with the “Family Day” activities. As for the sport, the Equus team (P. Silling, Rosendo Torreguitar, J. Britos and Martín Iturraspe) triumphed in the I Santa María Foundation Open after winning a closely fought final against the Dr A side by a close 10 to 9 score. It is worth noting that the competition

linked its beginning and endo the Los Pinos area, while the middle day took place at Puente de Hierro. As for the Andrés Parladé Memorial Tournament that took place simultaneously, games were also played at the Rio pitches with the grand final taking places at Los Pinos, where it was won by Los Dragones. The team formed by Piñal/Nulty, Mariano Iturrioz, Diogo Gallego and Carla Álvarez beat the Polo Valley team in the final by a score of 9 to 5. Also, with the finals taking place on Sunday, there was a great at-

mosphere in Zone A (the area between the pitches where the After Polo event takes place). There were shop stands (fashion, jewellery, costume jewellery…), a restaurant zone and diﬀerent areas installed for young children. Visitors also enjoyed an Under-14 Polo Tournament and various activities courtesy of Sotogrande International School. All proﬁts will go towards the Santa María Polo Club Riding Therapy Centre. En esta edición de ‘Desde el búnker’, El Periódico de Sotogrande se centra en la figura de uno de los formadores más reconocidos de la zona, Juan Antonio Marín Ramós, Maestro Real Club de Golf Sotogrande y Director Sotogrande Internacional golf Academy (SIGA). ¿Cómo te iniciaste en el mundo del golf? A través de mi padre, Andrés Marín Castillo, con 6 años empecé a jugar en Las Aves (ahora Valderrama), allí jugaba con él al mismo tiempo que me enseñaba. ¿Cuándo y cómo te diste cuenta que podrías dedicar tu vida al golf? Desde siempre, el golf ha sido mi pasión y he sido una persona muy perfeccionista y competitiva. Mi vida golfística ha tenido dos vertientes la Competición y la Enseñanza en ambas siempre con máxima exigencia. ¿Qué tiene de único el golf? Es un deporte que da la oportunidad de disfrutar y de sufrir al mismo tiempo. Enseña que todo en la vida se consigue con mucho esfuerzo y sacrificio. Ofrece la posibilidad de establecer

relaciones con todo el mundo. Es muy completo y a la vez imprevisible pues no solo entran el juego las habilidades físicas sino también y sobretodo el control de las emociones. Ademas el golf es de los pocos deportes que no tiene edad a la hora de practicarlo. Cualquier momento de la vida es bueno para comenzar a jugar. ¿Qué es lo peor? Hoy en día, y debido a las ganas que existen de que los niños sean estrellas, han surgido muchas empresas o personas que juegan con esas ilusiones para su propio beneficio en lugar de velar por el futuro de estos jugadores. La formación de jugadores, tanto noveles como adultos, aporta una gran satisfacción personal… ¿Cómo es entrenar a jóvenes talentos? Es muy gratificante ver la gran evolución a nivel personal, deportivo, y de competición cuando consiguen sus logros y metas. Lo más complicado hoy en día es que estos talentos entrenen sobre una misma línea de trabajo, hay mucha información y muchos profesores hoy en día que no lo son pero sí ejercen.

Juan Antonio Marín, director de SIGA. ¿Hay buena cantera en la zona como para dar jugadores profesionales? Estamos en la mejor zona para practicar este deporte, tenemos cada vez más jugadores, y seguro que van a salir muchos profesionales. El gran hcp de hoy es que el ser profesional no asegura nada, hay que llegar a ser un gran profesional,. Cada vez se complica más vivir siendo profesional. Aún así no me cabe la menor duda que van a salir grandísimos

jugadores que marcarán una época. Además, aquí estamos nosotros para que esto ocurra! Los últimos campeones senior por parejas (Enrique y Miguel)..también están entrenados por usted. ¿Qué tipo de entrenamiento lleva un jugador Senior? Entrenamos a muchos grandes jugadores. Enrique de Bernardo y Miguel Preysler, ganaron este año el dobles de España y Miguel el Individual de España, al igual que

ahora el senior europeo de 65 años. Nuestra jugadora Maria Parra, está consiguiendo también logros increíbles…,Calvin Greschner, Jose Mateo…..o Sara García Real, ganadora del Doral Pblux Junior Internacional. Todos estos jugadores tienen una planificación adaptada a sus características, no hay dos personas iguales en golf, con lo cual cada uno tiene su propia preparación. ¿Cuál es su mejor recuerdo relacionado con el golf? “I have no doubt that great professional golfers will emerge from the area” In this edition of “View from the Bunker”, the Periódico de Sotogrande has chosen to focus one of the most renowned coaches in the area, Juan Antonio Marín Ramós, Coach at Real Club de Golf Sotogrande and Director of the Sotogrande International golf Academy (SIGA). How did you first get into golf? Through my father, Andrés Marín Castillo, I began playing aged 6 at Las Aves (now Valderrama), I played with him there as he taught me the game. When and how did you realise that you could dedicate your life to golf? Golf has always been my passion and I have always been a perfectionist and a very competitive person. My golfing life has had two sides to it; Competition and Teaching, and I have had high demands in both areas.

What is unique about golf? It is a sport that gives you the chance to enjoy yourself and suffer at the same time. It teaches you that everything in life is achieved through a lot of effort and sacrifice. It offers the possibility to form relationships with everyone. It is very complete and also unpredictable as it is not just about your physical abilities, but also, and especially, about the control of emotions. Also, golf is one of the few sports where it does not matter what age you are when you play. Any point of your life can be a good time to start playing. What is the worst aspect? Today, due to the desire to have child stars, a lot of companies and people who play with those hopes for their own benefit instead of looking after the future of those players. Training players, beginners and adults, brings a lot of

personal satisfaction… What is it like to train young talent? It is very gratifying to see the great development at a personal, sporting and competition level, when they reach their achievements and goals. Currently, the most difficult thing is to ensure in same way, there is a lot of information out there and lots of coaches at the moment who are not real coaches but are working as coaches. Are there a lot of upcoming players in the area who could be professional players? We are in the best area to play this sport, there are an increasing number of players, and there is no doubt that a lot of professionals will emerge. The great handicap today is that being professional does not ensure anything; you have to become a great professional. It is increasingly difficult to survi-

ve as a professional. Even so, I have no doubts that really great players will emerge who will dominate for a number of years. Also, we are here to make that happen! The last senior pairs champions (Enrique and Miguel) are also trained by you. What type of training does a senior player do? We train a lot of great players. Enrique de Bernardo and Miguel Preysler, won the Spanish pairs tournament and Miguel won the Spanish singles tournament, and the 65 year olds and up European senior title. Our player, Maria Parra, is also achieving incredible things…Calvin Greschner, Jose Mateo…..and Sara García Real, winner of the Doral Pblux Junior International tournament. All of these players have a training plan adapted to their needs. No two people are the same when it comes to golf, so everyone has spe-

cific preparation methods. What is your best memory linked to golf? There are lots… As a player, being called up at the age of 14 for the Blume tournament, or being part of the National squad, playing in a World Cup or a European Championship, the wins, the good friends you make…As a coach of the wins of your pupils that you experience more than if they were your own, the grants that we get in the United States for our players, basically, anything that helps people who trust in you to improve. Do you have a favourite course? Real Club de Golf Sotogrande. My course, it has such a great design. It is the best course in Spain. Also, I have been linked to it my whole life, from the age of 9. The better you know it, the more you enjoy it.

nato de Europa Individual Senior Masculino, que también se disputó en este campo, Miguel Preysler y Álvaro Llanza terminaron en los puestos 18 y 47 respectivamente. Mención especial para el primero de ellos que acabó primero en la categoría de Supersenior.

El Tribunal de Arbitraje Deportivo escuchó las alegaciones de la Federación de Fútbol de Gibraltar (Gibraltar Football Association, GFA) en contra de la decisión adoptada por la FIFA de no incluirla como su miembro número 210. El presidente de la GFA, Dennis Beiso, se mostró “confiado” de una resolución positiva por parte de la máxima autoridad del arbitraje deportivo tras su vista a la sede de Lausana, en Suiza. Las alegaciones de la federación gibraltareña se basan en los mismas razones que en su día motivaron una re-

solución positiva por parte de la UEFA quien, hace poco más de dos años, admitió a Gibraltar como la 54ª federación miembro, lo que le está permitiendo participar en la fase de calificación para la próxima Eurocopa de Francia 2016 (el próximo partido es el día 13 contra la campeona del mundo, Alemania). El objetivo de Gibraltar es conseguir la aceptación de FIFA y, con ello, poder participar en la clasificación para el Mundial de Rusia 2018, de la cual, de momento, está excluido. Mientras se espera la decisión del TAS, se ha que la

The proceedings brought by the Gibraltarian federation are based around the same reasons

This means they are entitled to participate in the qualifying state for the next European Championship, to be held by France in 2016 (their next game will be on the 13 June against the world champions, Germany). Gibraltar’s aim is to be accepted by FIFA, and therefore be able to compete in the qualifying stage for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, from which

they are currently excluded. While they await the decision of the CAS, it has been announced that FIFA have accepted Gibraltar’s application to participate in the European group qualifying stage for the next Futsal World Cup that will be hosted by Colombia in 2106. El cuarteto de Sotomaki-Los Dragones se proclamó campeón de la XI Copa de Jerez de Polo, torneo que forma parte de la Temporada de Primavera y que se disputó en las canchas de Río de Santa María Polo Club. Sotomaki-Los Dragones venció a Sotovila en la gran fnal por 6 a 5 en un partido muy disputado y emotivo.El equipo, fomado

por: Felipe Leal, Andrew Nulty, Diogo Gallego y Mariano Iturrioz; cerró un torneo perfecto y se llevó merecidamente el título. Sotovila comenzó mejor el partido y estuvo por delante del marcador hasta el tercer chukker. Fue en ese período donde apareció el profesional Diogo Gallego para liderar la remontada y llevar a su equipo

al título. El tercer puesto correspondió a Mahra-Blueye que venció a Sapphire por 10 a 5.

Gran éxito de participación y asistencia en la tercera edición del Torneo de Padél Restaurante Parrilla La Quinta, celebrado en las magníficas instalaciones del Club de Tenis y Pádel El Octógono, en Sotogrande. A lo largo de un fin de semana de competición deportiva, la jornada final estuvo destinada a los partidos decisivos y a la entrega de premios. Los jugadores disfrutaron de una parrillada al término de la competición en las instalaciones de El Octógono, como no podía ser de otra manera con Parrilla La Quinta como promotor del torneo.

En la parcela deportiva, en la Categoría Adultos y Niños, los ganadores fueron: Antonio y Elena Sánchez; en segunda posición finalizó la pareja formada por Ian y Johnny McDougall. En la Categoría Mixtos, Gorka y Paola se hicieron con el triunfo, finalizando en segundo lugar la dupla Antonio y Tash. Por último, en Categoría Caballeros, Leo y César se llevaron la victoria tras vencer en la final a Mar y Concha.

Sotomaki-Los Dragones beat Sotovila in the ﬁnal by 6 goals to

5 in what was a closely fought and exciting game. The team formed by: Felipe Leal, Andrew Nulty, Diogo Gallego and Mariano Iturrioz, ended what was a perfect tournament for them and were deserving winners of the title. Sotovila were the stronger side

at the beginning of the game and were in front until the third chukka. Then, the professional Diogo Gallego made his appearance in order to lead the comeback and take his side to the title. Third place went to Mahra-Blueye who beat Sapphire by 10 goals to 5.

There was a great level of participation and attendance levels at the III Restaurante Parrilla La Quinta Padel Tournanent that took place at the magniﬁcent facilities of El Octógono Tennis and Padel Club in Sotogrande. After a weekend of sporting competition, the ﬁnal day was taken up with the decisive games and the prize giving ceremony. The players enjoyed a grill at the end of the competition at the El Octógono facilities, and that was always how it was going to be with Parrilla La Quinta sponsoring the tournament.

In terms of the sports, in the Adults and Children Category, the winners were: Antonio and Elena Sánchez; in the second place was the pairing of Ian and Johnny McDougall.
